PLEASE! Whistle while you work …… Update Day 6 - 06/16

The fireworks cruise looks like such a fun thing to do :)

Have you ever taken an Illuminations Cruise Karin?

What a fun cruise. I always forget how many different things Disney has to offer that I have yet to try.

It was so kind of you to drive us back to our resort! You really didn't need to do that, but I am very grateful you did. :goodvibes

I love the pictures of all of us. And your firework pictures are awesome!

BTW, another birthday wish for you! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Ah, Ann, we loved driving you back to your resort .... gave us more time to spend with you!

I was so happy the photos of all of us turned out good. I have one of them in a frame on my photowall. :goodvibes

And thank you for your birthday wishes.

What a fun time you had with your DIS friends, Karin.

May I ask how/where you booked that cruise and how much it was? Although we are doing the Keys to the Kingdom Tour, I really want to do something extra for Mark for our 30th anniversary.

It was the most wonderful time spent with friends. :goodvibes

As for the Wishes cruise .... you can book it by dialling (407) WDW-Play 180 days in advance.
There are two Pontoon boats to choose from. The smaller one is for 8 people and does not offer sound and is about 300$. The larger one, the one we had is for 10 people and has sound. It's about 350$.
It was an awesome experience! We are repeating it on our first full day back at WDW. Jeff and his family will join us as will Michelle and her family again. :woohoo:

Thank you!

A very Happy Birthday to you Karin! Vacation time will be here again soon. One of these days we will get to meet again, at least I hope so!

Lovely pictures of the fireworks cruise, but I bet it was too cold for me.

Thank you, Doris! :goodvibes
You are right, vacation time will be here again soon. Less than three months until we leave for the US again.

The fireworks cruise was so much fun. It was cool, not really cold and if I remember correctly they even had blankets on board. ;)

Happy Birthday Karin!!! Hope you had a great day!

Thank you, Teri! I sure did have a wonderful day and weekend! :goodvibes

Karin - You're a taurus, too! :thumbsup2 Happy Birthday! My birthday is on the 7th and my oldest son's b-day is tomorrow so yeah for another May baby!

Can I just tell you how absolutely fantastic that cruise looks. How wonderful that you were able to plan that. What a fun group and what fantastic views. I hope I have the occasion to do that cruise someday. It looks simply amazing!

Happy belated birthday, Mary Ellen! :bday: And a very happy birthday to your oldest son as well. :goodvibes

It was a wonderful cruise and such a great experience. I highly recommend it. It really is special. :thumbsup2
And it was extra special since we were able to share it with friends.

:bday:
I hope that it was a wonderful birthday for you!

Thank you! I did have a great day. :thumbsup2

Fantastic fireworks pictures. That is a great picture of all your friends.

Happy Birthday Karin...Hope you have a magicial day!!!

Thank you, Elaine! :goodvibes
The fireworks cruise was so much fun. We're taking Jeff and his family on one in August, can't wait! :woohoo:

Happy Belated Birthday, Karin! I hope you had a wonderful day. I am all caught up on this report, I can't say that about many lately! Your Dream cruise was dreamy as usual - I love that you got to have such good times with your servers, Ana and her hubby. (forgot how to spell his name) You will have to keep us posted on them!

I'm glad your "mini cruise" turned out so special. You are so sweet to arrange that for everyone - I know it meant a lot to them! :flower3:

Thank you, Tammie! :goodvibes
I am so honoured that you stick with me and my ever lasting TRs. Ana and Matija should be on their last contract with Disney. They want to open their own place in Croatia. Can't wait for them to make final plans. :goodvibes

I think we all enjoyed that fireworks cruise. It was so neat to see them all and enjoy the fireworks together. :thumbsup2

The fireworks cruise looks like such a fun thing to do :)

Have you ever taken an Illuminations Cruise Karin?

The fireworks cruise really was wonderful. So much fun and so exciting to see the fireworks from the water! :thumbsup2
We have not taken an Illuminations cruise yet, but I am toying with the idea. ;)

What a fun cruise. I always forget how many different things Disney has to offer that I have yet to try.

It was really great, Jen. I highly recommend trying it. Might be something you might consider for your next family trip! :goodvibes

Good mornin' Karin!!

Hi, Rosie! Glad to have you back! :goodvibes

Day 7, February 22

Who needs plans, we go with the flow! - part 1

Despite the late night the day before we were up around 7am and getting ready. We threw around the idea of having breakfast at The Wave, but there were so many yummy things in our fridge that we just ate some of it for breakfast. Around 9am we started to get on our walk over to the Magic Kingdom.

We arrived just when a ferry and the Monorail arrived and we hotfooted it to security, so we at least were at the head of the line. They had different lines for the new ticket media and even though we had our APs we were told to go to the new turnstiles. There was a cast member scanning our tickets and in we went. Main Street looked pretty packed but that was no surprise since the park had just opened.

We walked through the Emporium and up to the Casey’s. From there we went towards Adventureland and past the Crystal Palace. We stopped and took some photos

when a cast member approached us and asked us if we had a reservation. Nope, sorry. We walked over the bridge and then turned into Adventureland. Maybe we can try the Jungle cruise.
No, 20 minute wait already, same for Pirates, so we walked back to Liberty Square and from there to Peter Pan, to get a FastPass. The park started to get crowded by then and we were on a mission to get some more photos of the New Fantasyland, so we walked towards the area

and saw a line of already 60 minutes for Storytime with Belle.

No chance that we would get in this line. Next stop was the Little Mermaid ride and to our huge surprise it only had a 15 minute wait.

To be continued ...........

60 minutes for Belle? :faint: That's crazy.

I love the walkway from the contemporary to the MK. That is just the best!!!!!

Too bad the lines were long for JC and Pirates!

I have not yet seen the new story time with Belle no matter when I have gotten there the wait is always over 60 mins!! I hope to see it some time soon. I know Angelina would really enjoy it. I LOVE Gaston's the pork shank is really YUMMY I do not care much for Le Fue's brew it is really sweet!!!

What a great start to your day... the walk from the contemporary to MK!

I am sorry the lines were so icky. I know we didn't go nearly as many rides last trip, just cause lines were so long. :sad2:

Love the pics of the new fantasyland. The mine ride looks to really be coming along! I can't wait!!!

Fun start to the day.

We've yet to see the Storytime with Belle and probably won't...no way I can get Mark to wait in line for that.

Nice fireworks pics.
It is great when you just sit and enjoy everyone’s company.
That Belle gets busy really fast.
All caught up. Loved the pics.

Happy belated birthday Karin!!! Sorry I am here.....catching up...if its possible!

Yes, the lines for the Enchanted Storytime with Belle were crazy!!!!!!! But then it is a cute little show with lots of audience participation. ;)
We went to see it during the "soft" opening last August and it was fun. :thumbsup2

The walkway from the CR and BLT to the MK are one of the biggest draws for me. :lmao: Nothing better than a short walk and being "home". :goodvibes

I had not seen that plaque by the Gaston statue. Thats funny.

Jen, we walked by twice without seeing it first. I have a habit of taking photo of signs and such and had such a laugh when I read it. :rotfl2:

Michelle, it is a cute show, with a lot of audience interaction. We were so lucky to get in last August, when they did "trial runs". The line moves very slowly as there is an actual little show at the end of it.

We have yet to try the pork shank. ;) We were FAR too full after lunch, but it is on my list for the summer.
no LeFue's brew for me - I don't like apple flavoured drinks.

Ann, walking out of your room and looking over at the MK was just awesome. :thumbsup2
Lines are always long in February, so we "kind of" expected it. But I did not expect them to be that long. :lmao:

I cannot wait for the mine train ride. It looks like so much fun. :woohoo:

BTW Ann, any news on your DVC offer?

60 minutes for Belle No way !!!Sounds like a busy morning at MK!!!

Rosie, the lines for that "show" are always longer than I would like, but 60 minutes is FAR too long to wait for me. ;)

Fun start to the day.

We've yet to see the Storytime with Belle and probably won't...no way I can get Mark to wait in line for that.

Kathy, if you get the chance to see it, it is really cute, but not cute enough for a 60 minute wait for us two adults. :rotfl2:

Nice fireworks pics.
It is great when you just sit and enjoy everyone’s company.
That Belle gets busy really fast.
All caught up. Loved the pics.

The fireworks cruise was really awesome. And sharing that experience with friends was the best of it. :goodvibes
Yes, that Belle line gets really long fast. But it is a nice little show. We got to see it when they invited park guests to experience it last August. We only waited about 10 minutes then and really enjoyed it. :thumbsup2

Happy belated birthday Karin!!! Sorry I am here.....catching up...if its possible!

Thank you!
Why is it just so easy to fall behind and so hard catching up. ;) Been there, done that just recently. :rotfl:

Day 7, February 22

whislewhile1_zpsc8f5574a.jpg

Who needs plans, we go with the flow! - part 2

Next stop was the Little Mermaid ride

and to our huge surprise it only had a 15 minute wait. Well, we could do that, so we got in line

and walked through most of the line. There was a bit of hold up right before the line, but it was mostly a walk on. Once in our clam mobiles we had time to really look around and enjoy the new ride. Tom was able to even take a few photos.

We both still thought that Ariel looked a bit funny in some of the scenes but so be it. Once we got off the ride

we watched the construction workers who worked on the Mine train ride for a bit,

before we wanted to head back to the castle. We walked past the Be Our Guest restaurant and were amazed that there was already a long line for a still closed restaurant.

To be continued ...........

Hi Karin

I must admit I skipped past some of your FL pictures as I am trying not to see too much before we visit in December but I managed to ascertain that you and Tom are having a fun day! :)

I just love the new Little Mermaid ride. I can't wait to get back and see it again. Right now that might be close to a year away. Boo hoooo!!!!!!!!
