***Official November 2013***

We are going to WDW 5th November to 16th November and are staying at SSR. We got the Deluxe DDP and are so excited about that!

Speaking of food, we managed to get most of the ADRs we wanted, but I am totally disappointed that we couldn't get a BOG ADR for the entire duration of our trip- 180 days out! Surprisingly... We couldn't get into Via Napoli either on our choice of day. So shall try to book should anything come up.

It was a lot easier to get the ADRs we wanted in August 2011, and that is far busier than November! Puzzling... ;)

Anyone done Hoop de doo review? Thinking about it for this trip, it looks fun. Is it worth the $? I am going to buy a tables in wonderland card because between just that and O'hana it should nearly pay for itself and we can use it for next years trip too.
How about horseback riding and archery at the fort, anyone done either of those who can fill me in?
Thanks

Our 180 days is Monday - we're trying for T-Rex, CRT, Via Napoli, 50s Prime Time Cafe and BOG. I actually keep going back and forth on BOG as well. I feel like if we can get the ressie we should go but I'm thinking we'd like the menu better at 'Ohana. I guess I have the weekend to decide!

:welcome: I'll add you to the first post! I think it's just BOG. I didn't have problems with anything else. Best wishes.

That's what I looked at, too. We reviewed BOG's menu and didn't see anything that really wowed us, so I suggested O'hana and hubby jumped at it (all you care to eat skewers....he's on board. lol).

Let us know what you decide.

Just booked POR for 11/23 - 11/30 using my free dining PIN.......$2,503.00!

Two weeks to plan ADR's. We don't know if other family will be coming with us or not yet. I told them I needed to know within 1 week or they're on their own for dining ressies!

We've done "Thanksgiving at the Fort" and Brown Derby on Turkey Day before....not sure where this year...hmmmm....any recommendations?

We have done wcc Captains grille and thanksgiving at the fort in the past Wcc was our least favorite hubby is still poed that he got a plastic spoon to eat his dessert. Lol. This yr there will be 10 of us so we plan on going offsite to Cracker Barrel

He said Cinderella's Table but there are 3 meals a day there unlike BOG where you can only reserve dinner.

Odd- I thought BOG had overtaken CRT. We had no problem getting an ADR for CRT but BOG was totally booked- so disappointed. :(

Tomorrow's my 180!!! Starting to second guess my plan to do 3 character breakfasts (Crystal Palace, Tusker House, & Ohana) when we only have 5 TS credits. Also planning BOG (if we get in) and Sanaa dinners, so one of our TS meals will be OOP anyway. Worried that it will be hard to stretch out the QS & snack credits to fill the other gaps. :/ We've never done DDP before, so we'll have to see how it goes!

Wish me luck that we get a BOG dinner ADR!!

Character breakfasts are amazing- we love them. However with only 5 TS credits, I would probably only do two. Or pay for some other meals OOP- which is probably what we'd do. CS meals are pretty big so you could share some- and of course maximize snack credit value! Getting a funnel cake or side of fries could tide you over till dinner.

We love the HDDR. It was one of our favourite experiences (and meals) of the trip! In fact we are returning this year- it was one of our must-does. I'm not sure I would pay for it OOP because it is pretty pricey, and we always get the DDP. I certainly think it is more worth the OOP price than 'Ohana.

HDDR is so fun and entertaining- and we liked the food too! Simple but tasty. We drank out of jam jars I seem to remember. One thing I will say is that the closer you sit to the stage the better. It is very interactive so don't go for category 3 on the balconies. If you can afford category 1 it is wholly worth it. It sure is corny, but it is fun too (and every age is entertained!)

Congrats!!! That's a great deal! Even though we made the decision to not be tied down to ressies and pay OOP this trip, I am so jealous of the free dining PINs. I think it's just the accountant in me. Although....maybe I could get the QSDP. :rotfl: I think hubby would kill me. We're at 50% off a villa and that's just too awesome to pass over for free dining.

I've been going to Disney since the mid-90s, sign up for vacation DVDs etc. and yet have never gotten a pin. Doesn't matter this time anyways since we are going on the week in November that the pin jumps over. Still holding out hope for a CM F&F dining discount.

we have a 9:30am ADR at Tusker House on an EMH day, would our best option be to go right to the Safari ride and hang out in Africa until our ADR or should we let our 3 year old spend a little while in Dino-land first (not planning on riding Everest or dinosaur) then head to Africa? or take the train up to planet watch would we be able to still get fast passes for the safari and rapids after 10:00am or do they run out quickly? Are show times usually always the same year round? Thanks

Thursday is my ADR daydde00. Does anyone have any suggestions for breakfast?

We love Chef Mickey's and Akershus for breakfast, although we really like Crystal Palace too. Perhaps if you make an 8am ADR you can get into an empty MK?

If you don't like character meals then Grand Floridian Cafe, Kona, Whispering Canyon Cafe, etc are all really good! I would choose a breakfast depending on what park you're going to that day. And depending on where you are staying!

Breakfast at WDW is amazing! :)

So our ADR date is Monday (Memorial Day) do you think that will make it easier or harder to get our ADRs? I have a list of the ADRs that we want for the first part of our trip but seeing the post about BOG has me a little nervous. We loved BOG last year and really want to eat there again.

I'm so nervous and ready to get that part of the trip behind me!

Woot! ADR's made! Only major bummer was there was no availability for BOG the entire week we are there. None. At all. Any Day. Any time. Not a huge deal for us and we'll maybe try a lunch if it isn't too crowded but my Mouse Counselor was actually really shocked that she couldn't get us anything there.

So ADR's are T-Rex, CRT (8:15 pre-opening breakfast), Via Napoli, 50's Prime Time Cafe and 'Ohana!

I was a nervous wreck worrying about getting an ADR for BOG. We ate there last year and really wanted to go back. I had no trouble at all was able to get one on my 180+2 and could have had my pick of days and times but I think because my party size was 2. Going Jersey week and saw others say theyhad a hard time and could not get anything all week. So I definitely think it is related to the size of your party.
Good Luck I hope it being a holiday works in your favorpixiedust:

For anyone that had made their adrs, have u done it by phone or by computer? I'm curious because our 180 mark is next week and I don't know how the computer will know to make the 180+ reservations. Do I have to have my room reservation # to do this?
