Via Napoli

And Jill sent us this update...

"After checking out a lot of the F&G displays, we had dinner last night at Via Napoli."

"We shared an order of the Arancini. Fried risotto balls in tomato sauce. They were really creamy and worked well with the tomato sauce."

"I ordered the candele pasta. It was candle shaped pasta with ricotta cheese, sausage ragu, and mini meatballs. This was really good and not overly filling."

"For dessert, I went with the Frizzante since I am addicted to the orange San Pelligrino. It was an Italian ice cream soda made with vanilla ice cream. Very good!"

Does anyone know where that pink Cinderella dress is?? I need to see that!

I'm thinking maybe the dress is displayed at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique but I've never been there so I can't say for sure. Can anyone confirm???

It's been ages. How you been? Are you and Charlie planning any visits to Disney World anytime soon? ;)

Next in today was an update from StuffedwFluff from her lunch today at Animal Kingdom's...

Flame Tree Barbecue

Here is what they had...

Fruit Plate - seasonal sliced fruit plate served with honey yogurt

Smoked Chicken Salad with mixed greens tossed with barbecued vinaigrette and drizzled with Chipotle Ranch Dressing

Pork Sandwich served with coleslaw

Ribs and Chicken Combo served with baked beans and coleslaw

She said, "The ribs and chicken were just okay, the fruit was fruit. The salad was so yummy. It was full of big slices of chicken so there was chicken in every bite. I loved the BBQ ranch dressing. My only complaint was it needed more lettuce and less beans. The pork sandwich was so good that my husband had to go buy two more so he could have another and the rest of us could split the second. The BBQ sauce is so good I wish they would sell it by the bottle."

I have a question and I am hoping, no, I'm sure someone here can help. Where do you order those special cakes from for birthdays? We will be down there on the 22nd of May to celebrate my entire families birthdays, which are May 15, 16, 25 & 26, and we are wanting to suprise our girls. Is it to close to the time of us going to order a specialty cake for one of our dinners?

Thank you so much for any advice you can give.

Good morning everyone! :wave2:

This weekend will be a very busy one for the jabead family. We have a nephew getting married tomorrow and then on Sunday our DD#2 is leaving for Italy, where she will be taking classes for most of the summer in Florence. With this in mind, I will be donning my "happy aunt" and "nervous mother" hats this weekend, and putting my "Keeper of the Live Thread" hat aside. Consequently there will be few if any updates posted beginning this evening until Sunday evening. I have warned all the live reporters who are currently at Disney World that there will be a delay in posting their weekend updates, but I will get them all posted eventually. I have also told the many reporters who are arriving this weekend. And speaking of which,

Just a reminder that next up to the Disney Dining Plate are...

Sounds like a very exciting weekend! I'm sure that this thread is TONS of work, so you need a chance to relax and celebrate with family.

My brother (21) is over in Italy studying abroad currently. He is having the time of his life and never wants to come home! I'm sure DD#2 will have a fabulous time!

Almost all packed! pixiedust:

Have a great weekend Jabead and thank you for all the hard work you put into this thread.

Look at this thread the OFFICIAL Disney Cake Chatter Thread on the main Disney Restaurant part of the forum.
I would say will only 12 days to go,that yes, you need to order the cake.
The very first two posts in that thread answer a lot of questions.

Barb - Enjoy your family events and I wish your DD all the best as she suffers, I mean studies in Italy. Have a great time at the wedding as well.

We will patiently await the live updates when you resume your duties here! ;)

To all the live reporters...Have a great trip and take lots of photos of your food!
