WHAT??? isn't this some kinda CRIME???? The first thing I do when I check in is head to Mara for Dome Therapy!!

It probably is a crime around here!!

I've only ever had them in a dessert trio from room service. Have yet to ever buy them. -DH isn't a fan.

Considering the switch to AKV deluxe studio...hmmm...will have to get all the info. first and talk to DH.

It is a moot point since there is no availability for a standard view studio for our dates. PV standard room at AKL it is!

Oh sweet Aunt Bethany!!! Husband not a fan?? That may be grounds for divorce in this state.. Or at least a 72 hour Baker Act!

Congrats on your reservation! Make your requests now. You can confirm them at online check-in. List the most important first; try not to list more than 3 (2 requests is best). Don't request a specific room; ok to request a specific floor, even a specific "pod".

We are not to discuss smoking on these threads, but I will add that most, if not all, of the rooms are far enough from those areas, that it won't be a factor. I think Ostrich Trail might be the best trail for you to request.

Can u requests floors pods etc as a DVC member? We r knew members and when we called to make our resides they didn't ask if we had any special requests. Should I call back?

Fwiw.. I have always requested to be in "the area" of a room # and gotten it.. Sometimes across the hall.. Sometimes another floor, but the view was similar.. The last trip to WL, I got the exact room # request.. So, I have a list of rooms I have enjoyed

If you booked a DVC room in Jambo - no. Your room will be on the 5th floor, unless you have Club Level booked, in which case you will be on the 6th floor. If you are at Kidani - yes, request a floor if you desire (2nd floor is lobby level at Kidani).

3542 savanah south (lobby)
2541 Savana north

3542 is lobby level and faces south over the people pen. I booked standard and got this.

2541 again is over a people pen and was standard booking..

I also was not aware that inquiries about the location of smoking areas at the resorts was not allowed. Curious as to why not? Most especially since those who smoke would be curious as to the allowed locations to do do, and those with medical reasons would like to avoid said areas and be equally curious. As a newbie, please pardon my question if this has been addressed before. TIA.

Hooray! This summer (July 30-August 10) we'll be at WDW for the 3rd time. This will be our first stay at AKL. We booked pool view and requested a king bed. Anyone can give me how big the chance is to get that? And maybe have pictures of a king bed room? Thanks!

We'll be there 8/2-8/9 in a pool view room as well! And we requested a king bed room too!
