Hello y'all! :-)
I just switched my resort room from AoA LM to BWI ... Took advantage of a 35% room resort stay in a deluxe resort. This will be our first stay here, and just wondering if anyone had tips, or advice for me on this resort? I've read a lot on the BWV, not to much on the other end of the resort. I like a top floor, and quite area, would I just put that as a request?

Never stayed there but I have stayed at the beach club villas and it's an awesome area. Being that close to Epcot and HS made it feel as if we were never far from entertainment. And being steps away from all those French treats can easily be heaven or trouble!

Thank you for the thread link!

The sofa beds, are they comfortable? Thinking of bringing a twin air mattress. Would anyone happen to know this?

Hi everyone! I just switched my resort from POFQ to BWI! I first added FD to POFQ but I started looking at BWI and the RO code saved more money and this resort seems very affordable!

Now I have NEVER been here can I ask a few questions? Sorry if they end up beating an old horse to death.

1)Ok so I booked standard room where is the CLOSEST place to get my refillable mug filled with coffee/soda?

2)Again Im in a standard room where is the closest place we can get both a hot breakfast for DH and maybe yogurt and a pastry for me?

3) is the quiet pool very far from where Ill be and is it uncomfortable walking thru that beautiful lobby all wet?

4) Last question I swear! Does BWI have its own resort gift shop? I wasn't sure since there are so many shops out on the boardwalk.

Thanks everyone for their patience now Im off to change my ticker!!

Somewhat irrelevant, but how did you get 35% off? I booked today with the 30% online discount... did you happen to call? Would love to save an extra 5%!

We too, booked the BWI for our September trip! I highly suggest popping over to the BWI FAQ thread for room suggestions, photos, experiences, questions, and anything you could possibly want to know about the BWI!

You can refill your mug at the BoardWalk Bakery, Boardwalk Joe's, Boardwalk Pizza Window, and Seashore Sweets. Just note that you have to go OUTSIDE of the actual Inn, and onto the Boardwalk to refill your mug.

The Boardwalk Bakery recently opened from refurbishment with some updated offerings, though has always offered hot and cold items. Menu can be viewed here:

The Belle Vue Room (inside the Inn) also offers a continental breakfast daily, the menu can be viewed here:

The lobby is centrally located between the Inn and Villas. The Inn is almost a horseshoe shape design (the majority of the resort is "standard rooms" with exception to the water view rooms facing the boardwalk, suites, and club level) and the pool is located in the "middle" courtyard area. Here's a map of the resort to give you an "overhead" idea. The Inn is located on the right.

4) Last question I swear! Does BWI have its own resort gift shop? I wasn't sure since there are so many shops out on the boardwalk.

A quote from Allears.net
Where can I buy a T-shirt and some toothpaste?

Dundy's Sundries (very small) is located just off the lobby on the Villa side. It stocks resort logo merchandise and some basic necessities and toiletries. Disney's Character Carnival, Screen Door General Store, and Thimbles and Threads are all located on the Boardwalk. The three stores comprise one giant store and feature character merchandise, clothing for the whole family, as well as groceries and snacks
.

Hope that helps a bit!

We booked the 35% off deluxe resort rooms from a pin code I received months ago. At the time I wasn't sure free dining would be offered, and I didn't want to pass up some sort of discount.

Thank you! I found that thread! :) Countdown is 117 days! Yay!

Is Dundys where you pick up packages sent from the parks?

thank you so much for all your help! Well I guess DH will NOT be wearing his mickey pjs pants to get coffee in the morning! LOL

When we had a standard room there, we asked for a high floor, courtyard view. Ended up in a great, quiet room with a view toward France overlooking the courtyard not too far from the lone elevator. We loved our stay there.

No, packages are picked up at the store on the Boardwalk - Thimbles and Threads. Dundys is too small.

Thimbles and Threads is where you pick up your packages. No I guess your DH will have to put on sweats or shorts lmao.

If any one want a quiet & good view 5th floor or 4th floor facing Epcot. Room #5270 is a good room. Great view. or room 4268. The odds numbers are water views & cost more. Even numbers faces the garden or Epcot. I prefer the even numbers room as they are quiet. But so ask for higher floor. Have a great trip.
