Stroller advice?? First time mom taking 12 month old to Disney

This will be our first time, but we've used it around town (mall, shopping, etc.) and I love it. So much better than a clunky huge stroller. My only complaint is that the storage is hard to get to, but I don't carry a diaper bag anymore, so for me, it's a non issue. (A diaper bag could easily be hung on the handles).

This is what I thought when I bought the Ignite - however, it is so lightweight that the diaper bag tips it over. Every time you stop you have to take the diaper bag off and put it in the seat. I am so frustrated with the storage that I am now searching for a new stroller for WDW, unless we can achieve potty training before the next trip.

I have a city mini but the front wheel locks every few steps and they won't fix it - their suggestion was to buy another one!

I am looking at the B-agile for us, but every family has different needs and different functions that are most important for them...

My absolute favorite stroller (after trying a LOT, including the city mini) is the Valco Snap. It only weighs 13 pounds, but has all the bells and whistles of a full-size stroller.

Amazon has a red britax b-agile for $185 with free shipping and no tax (at least for now). I order all of my strollers from amazon and have never had an issue and always save much more over babies r us, even with their stupid coupons. That's my recommendation for you. Large canopy, full recline, easy fold, steers great. I do not like umbrella strollers, particularly cheapies. I own a maclaren (and that hinge thing was fixed and they are still quite popular) but I don't recommend one for a baby. Lousy canopy, they do have a decent recline and don't tip with a heavy bag, but they are pricey. That's just my two cents.

I have a City Mini and its the only stroller I would use. It collapses in about 1 second. Just pull the strap on the seat and its ready to go into a bus.

I don't have a City Mini but I've heard they are great for WDW.

I purchased a Perego Pliko P3 from www.albeebaby.com back in 2008 for my niece. I have used it 4 times now at WDW. Folds almost flat, has a huge canopy, tray for child (can be taken off completely), can store upright, has a freedom movement 5 point harness (I don't know of another brand that has this) and you can take off the shoulder straps and make it 3 point. Adjustable footrest, parent cup holder, and extendable handles. Had no problem with the backpack over the handle-no tipping.

If you are looking for one that you can also jog with I would not get the citimini. It's made by baby jogger but isn't a jogging stroller. I have a cybex umbrella stroller I got in a deal a day site. I really liked it when I had one kid. Easy to fold and compact.

We're taking our 17 month old in 2 weeks for his first trip, and we bought a Chicco liteway (I think that's the way it's spelled). It's very light weight, and steers great, and folds up very easily and compactily (similar to a maclaren). The feature that I love the most is that it has a full recline, so DS can actually nap in it, and has. We ended up buying a prior year color so got it cheaper that it's sold for, but I think you can get it for around $100 new, and it's not usually excluded from BRU coupons. It was also rated very well in the Baby Bargins book, so that sealed the deal for us. Good luck and have a wonderful trip!

I wanted the Liteway but couldn't justify the price vs. DD's age/usage. I would have bought it in a heartbeat if she was still 12mo. I have friends who love theirs and have no wheel issues.

The City Mini we have for DD is awesome. The fold is incredibly quick, it fully reclines, and the sunshade is fantastic (you don't need to purchase an extra extender at all). A PP is correct in that it's not actually a jogging stroller, but it is a great stroller for walking/etc. We had one at Disney, and honestly I would not want any other stroller there. DD was so comfy, she took naps in the stroller very easily. I was never worried about the sun because the sunshade is so big. We really like it.

The two different strollers we have and have taken to WDW are the Citi mini and the Peg Perego Aria.

Citi Mini--it steers very easily, has huge sunshade, and folds very easily. But it is bulky and heavy when folded, so not the best on the buses, has a very small basket, and no child cup holder or tray. It didn't have a parent cup holder either but we bought one.

Peg Perego Aria--it was very lightweight(9 lbs), folded easily and stood by itself when folded, which was nice on the bus. It had a big basket and child tray and cup holder. The sun shade was small and doesn't maneuver as easily as the Citi Mini.

They both recline for naps which is nice. I don't think they make the Aria anymore but there are some for sale still at Albee Baby and Peg Perego replaced it with a very similar model, just with a different name.

I would also consider what you want to bring to the parks.

I also have a maclaren quest and love it. Just not for the stage of my daughter (16 mos) we just need to carry more stuff then the sad little basket allows for.

I also have a britax b ready which is sort of a beast but my daughter loves it. Loves that she sits up higher, the basket is awesome, great canopy (canopy on the quest is horrible. I always use an additional shade extender).

But if I had to get something in between I'd get a valco snap. love that the seat floss inward so I can't get dirty.

But if you're looking for the easiest fold out there...prob the city mini.

Strollers are a bug decision!

We bought one because my regular chico stroller wouldn't fit in the back of my Kia hatchback and I was tired of hunching over with the cheapie umbrella stroller you can buy for $30. The only complaint I have about this stroller is that the cup holder is too small to fit my son's sippy cup. I bought a side-mounted cup holder to hook onto it and now he just puts snacks in the built-in cup holder. It would fit a normal cup or water bottle just fine.

It's tall enough though that we don't get a backache pushing it. (I'm 5'8" and DH is 5'11").

It holds a ton and it's sturdy enough that even with my purse dangling off the back with the mommy hook that my son has still used the stroller to pull himself up and the stroller doesn't tip over. (Though I watch him like a hawk just in case it tries).

We bought our joovy sit n stand from Craigslist. The photos they gave looked nice and I told them I wanted to come see it before I bought. It worked out well as the stroller was almost brand new.

I just purchased a new stroller for Disney. I didnt want to bring my uppababy vista, its too heavy and I was scared it would be stolen. I purchased a Inglesina Trip. It is amazing. I prefer it over my uppababy. Its really light and maneuvers so well. It has a huge sun canopy and can fully recline which I need since my son will be 4 1/2 months on my trip. The canopy has an option to fully cover the baby. I can't say enough great things about this stroller.

I have a britax b-ready for my regular stroller, but since we'll be flying in from Canada, I'm planning on renting a double stroller from one of the stroller companies when we are down there.. I also have a maclaren single.. but I have a feeling my 2 kids will be fighting over who can sit in the stroller, and the maclaren doesn't have a lot of storage room.

I purchased a maclaren stroller from craigslist.. it was a piece of crap, I had to spend $50 to get it fixed because there were problems with the wheels, I should have checked it out a lot more before I bought it...so be careful and learn from my mistake!

Has anyone had any luck purchasing from Ebay? Considering looking into Britax B-Agile or City Mini through Ebay.....just makes me nervous!
