You guys are easy to please. Just keep the free food coming and nobody gets hurt.....

Thursday is going to be a trip, that's for sure. I wonder how many posts before the thread is considered full?

Maybe we could grandfather in that all those who receive FD in 2013 can then have it for life!!!

Can a thread actually get full?

Booked! September 22-28 at ASMo . So I just call back 7am tomorrow and tell them I want FD added right?

Yes! Grandfather us in!!! The only one I have seen get closed because of size was the giant FP+ one... or that might have been because people were getting crazy... I just remember it was huge and highly entertaining...

7 am Thursday. Good luck. If it makes you feel any better. In Dec 2010 I did not call for 2 days after the offer was released and I had no problem getting room at ASMo. And Dec is busier than Sept.

I totally meant Thursday... *duh!* lol. I am leaving for Maryland tomorrow to see inlaws and preparing for it has frazzled my brain.

I am so excited! :)

Speaking of...I will be interested to hear how the wait times are on Thursday. If they're as short as they were on Monday, then I'm going to say September isn't going to be all that crowded. In years past, it was common for everyone to wait an hour+ on hold to book free dining. Monday was more like 10-15 minutes and everyone was talking about how fast they got through. This may get interesting...

I would expect it is going to kind of be a hot mess... I'm thinking more people know about it now and out-number the Visa folks

Oh yes but in the past it was the visa day that was hours and hours long.

Hmm... Personally I am worried that if I am on hold too long I will fall asleep... totally getting up at 6am to call (and I have not been up at that hour for a VERY long time) Maybe we will get lucky and have quick wait times like you lucky ducks did... otherwise I suppose I can just sing along to the hold music! ;)

Edited to add: One of you guys were worried about getting caught by a CM - I was totally singing my heart out to One Little Spark when a CM came on, told me I had just made her day, lol!

As we sit here waiting to see what Thursday will bring anyone want to humor me by helping me sort out my never ending indecisiveness over resorts :confused3

We are currently booked at AOA LM. We originally wanted to book an AOA suite like last year but it was way out of budget. We really, really love AOA. The zero entry pool and splash pad being the number one seller for us as both my kids are not fond of being held in the water they like some freedom. Since AOA LM is a no go for the discount I am stuck.
Pop seems super fun for my kids but I am just not fond of the theme or look.. I have two pretty light sleepers so I worry about noise level and I am bummed that there is no zero entry pool. I love the one bus stop!
I am also considering POR because of the AB rooms. We would book preferred to be guaranteed AB. I love the bigger beds, trundle (my 2 year old could use that rather than a pack n play) and the two sinks. My oldest son liked the theme of the AB rooms but he resort as a whole, though very very nice and lush just does not feel fun!

What would you do?
Say the heck with it and keep LM AOA paying for the dining plan(we are fine with the price point but are more comfortable with a lower price)
Move to Pop with FD upgrade
Move to POR preferred with FD

Thanks all!!

I'm sure they will. Just tell them if they don't, you'll chase them around and knock things over.

Thank for your kind words - and thanks for the suggestion! :rotfl2: :maleficen; :rotfl2: Not so sure about the hitchhiking ghost - I think Maleficent would be more fun. Who wouldn't want to turn into a big fire breathing dragon ... that is, as long as there wasn't a prince w/ a sword of truth hanging around!

And yes, I did notice parachuting Mickey - am hoping to find something similar - would be kinda cool watching him fly around on the ceiling fan popcorn::

Oh Riverside is the best. I've stayed there five times and love the quiet in the woods. However the five person rooms may be limited too.

For a zero entry pool, CBR has that, but the beds are smaller. CBR also has a splash area too. So many trade offs.

I've also stayed at Pop five times as well because I love that one too. It can get a bit noisy though.

At the rate we're going here, if it's ONLY 250 pages, we'll be full by Friday at the latest - and that's only if we're really slow typers! When I went to bed Sunday night, the last page was around 68 - 70. 48 hours later and we're around 115. This thread is growing so fast, I can be all caught up reading it when I go to post a reply, and when I get back, I'm behind a couple pages or more. Just goes to show what happens when you get a bunch of Disney addicts in a room together. party:

You all have such amazing stories of family and love. I feel I need to share. We planned our kids first trip then they were 2 and 5. All the grandparents were coming along as well. The travel agent asked if we wanted travel insurance. I responded with no nothing except death is keeping me away. Don't EVER say that. 3 months later I was diagnosed with cancer. I began chemo and radiation and could not make it to Disney. It broke my heart because I was so excited to share it with my kids. After 6 months of treatment I was in remition and on my way with my whole family to Disney. My parents were very worried that I would need a wheel chair and wouldn't be able to do everything I wanted. Truely nothing was going to stop me that time, and I did cry seeing my children there the first time walking down Main street. And no one could keep up with me. It was a new lease on life, and every day is a gift.

I think all of us Disney lovers have a very unique bond. There's nothing like it.

wow! what a bittersweet story!! you are a strong person! im soooo glad you are doing well and were able to see and enjoy your kids experiencing disney and life! good luck and God bless!
