Thanks for all the replies. I guess this was my main question. IF fd does become available for my dates do you have a better chance of getting it on a limited number of rooms if you already have the room booked or a better chance if you book at the time of the announcement or are your chances about the same. This is 100% for my daughter, she loves every, any, and all things Nemo . And yes I know she will probably not remember it, but I absolutely adore the excitement she shows for Disney in general. She will almost be 3 in Nov. With that being said I was just trying to weigh my options. If we can’t get the Nemo room we could stay at the Polynesian for a little more . With a discount of course…lol thanks again !

When you each call, just ask for your reservation numbers to be linked so they will put your rooms together. If you made all three reservations you would have to put the deposit down for each room/reservation.

Thank you. You guys are so quick. I've being following this thread but had nothing to add till now. So excited for thurs. even though it is our sixth trip it is so exciting.

The villains are out at all MNSSHP. I believe, Joe was referring to a special Villains party/event at Hollywood Studios on Friday the 13th.

If MNSSHP is a priority I would probably buy the tickets now - you just never know when a party will sell out, but Friday the 13th would have a good chance of selling out.

My thinking is it could sell out because its Friday the 13th, unless everyone decides to do the limited time magic villains night at the studios and go to the first party on Tuesday the 10th, then it maybe one of those cases where the party isn't as crowded because everyone is at the studios.

Never know what folks will do....

No, booking now does not give you a better chance of securing that Nemo suite for a FD discount. Each resort is only allotted so FD rooms/discounts per promo and if certain room categories already have a high occupancy rate they may not include them in the promo or only be available under certain dates during the FD promo. Some people like to just wait for the promo/discounts to be released, some people like to book way ahead, so they have an opportunity to put down the small $200 minimum deposit and then pay on there balance each month. I think it's just a matter of personal preference.

I think the Friday the 13th MNSSHP will bring in A LOT of locals and will have a pretty good chance of selling out.

Ok, after worrying all night and a third call to Disney, finally got my confirmation email with the free dining included. Apparently the first CM forgot to check the box next to email--after she took my email and said I'd receive a confirmation one shortly.

Thanks to everyone on here for the heads up about the offer, the help with questions, and just putting up with those of us that freak out over little details LOL Now to make the kids countdown calendar and activity jar.....wish there was a way to make the next 4 months speed up pixiedust:

What's the activity jar?? My DD10 and I have the Days To Go App on our iPod/iPhone so that's our countdown. But the activity jar sounds like fun too.

Can anyone offer some guidance on where we should stay? As I mentioned yesterday this is our first trip as adults. We do not have any children and it's actually just a spare of the moment trip. I'd like to go the cheapest route for our hotel as we won't be on the resort that much.

Does anyone think anyone of the All Stars are better than another? Is there another option that I should consider? Is it better to look at a step up from that grouping of hotels?

This is a surprise trip for my Husband and I don't plan on telling him until the night before we leave! I'm paying for it on the sly and that's part of the reasoning why I want to keep the costs down low.

I'm looking for 9/23-9/27 if that makes a difference.

I would stay at POP. Actually, I do stay at POP-- every year. :rotfl: Their food court is excellent, the bus service is great, and the lobby is fun to spend time in. They have tons of shadow boxes full of old toys and games from all of the different decades. It is so neat to see the things we grew up with, and just remember the good ol' days. :goodvibes

We have stayed at all levels of resort at Disney and they are all nice - the only Disney resort I haven't cared for are the cabins. But All Star Movies has become our favorite resort and Pop Century a close second. Personally, I like the Disney "feel" of All Star movies - just cute and super fun :-)

Just something to keep the kids excited since it's such a long time away :)
I have a glass vase that I decorated with a sign and Disney stickers; then typed up a bunch of "Disney" things to do and printed them out on Disney paper. Not sure if I'm going to let them pull one a day or every other day yet. It just has simple things like---eat on a Disney plate, eat Mickey pancakes, make Mickey cookies, watch a Disney movie, make a list of rides at each park they want to do..... just anything Disney related to keep the excitement going until we go :) :cheer2:

I agree stay at the Pop only one bus stop vs. 3 and less children .. my hubs and I went last May and that is where we stayed - he loved it! the food court is great, we didn't really wait for transport, and felt like we got a great bang for the buck..

Was this the one for Visa holders? I have been out of the loop on the thread. Last page I read was 23 so going back to read all would take forever! LOL

Are we still on for May 9 GP?

Yep, still Thursday for the GP. There is a FD deal for Sept 2-25 and also a room deal for Aug 15-Sept. 28.

Thank you! I want to have list ready of my options for hotels when I take the dog out for a walk Thursday AM. I appreciate your help

Out of the values I'd say Pop, just because of the separate bus line. Haven't stayed at AOA so not sure about that one. If you move up POR and POFQ are really nice--is very peaceful/relaxing to stroll around the river. We stayed at POR for our honeymoon (was actually Dixie Landings way back then :) so kind of partial to that one :) We do both levels (deluxe are pretty much out now that our family has grown so big) depending on our budget at the time; but the values seem a little more noisy/constant excitement going on while the moderates are a little quieter, spread out more, so you can find quiet spots if you want to chill around the resort. :)

Staying at the All Stars doesn't mean you will have 3 bus stops or share buses, especially in low crowd season like September. I have probably ridden the All Star Movies buses a couple of hundred times and, literally, only shared a bus with or stopped at one of the other All Star resorts a handful of times. We have also stayed at Pop a few times and the bus stop there is no more efficient than the All Stars buses. Both great resorts, both great bus service, can't go wrong with either :-)
