I agree 100%! Thank you!! I have saved money and found a place to talk to fellow Disney geeks like myself. My DH has gotten better with Disney but he no where near me. I could talk 24/7 about Disney....I think I drive him nuts sometimes. So thank you ALL who have helped me and have let me talk about my favorite subject!!

I so agree... my DH is glad we are going but that's about it for talking about it. My one coworker who is Disney crazy, was traveling for work today, so I didn't have him to share my excitement with. Thanks for dis boards .... I had people that were equally excited about me getting free dining for September!!!

Question about upgrading dining when staying at a value. Do you have to do it right when you make the reservation, or can you do it later?

When I did this last year I was able to book just the QS and upgrade later. Not sure if this has to be done within a certain time though...

We usually had to share a bus going back to the resort from the parks, but generally got our own bus heading to the parks (we went mid-Aug last year) This is one of the reasons I'm extra excited about Pop (as if a giant Baloo isn't enough motivation)

Ok so we talked it over and it looks like ASMO just might be the best option for us. Now as far as rooms go we have picked out (according to the map) which room will more than likely work best for us. My question now is do I call tonight and switch my ressie to ASMO from LM to get the room I want and then call back on Thursday and add the dining or do I wait?

Switching to ASMo now isn't going to hold a spot for you for free dining when you're able to book on Thursday.

I'm having trouble deciding which value to book...do the all stars still share a bus during the late summer season?

I've stayed at all 3 All Stars, and I still have a have a very hard time deciding. We rent a car, so I don't have the bus part to think about. I love all 3! We stayed at music the last trip we took in 2010. We are booked at sports in September, but I'm still thinking maybe I should book at Movies..... really it's about the theme that you want, the rest is all about the same.... and that's wonderful!!!! Walking distant from your building to the main building is another thing to think about/look at a map ..... good luck!!!

I have to chime in on the mushy. Everybody in here has been so kind and helpful to one another. It's great to have a sounding board since many of our DH's are Disney'd out! Black562...you have some patience dealing with us crazy mom's!! Disney411--thank you too

I was thinking about booking our vacation thru the Disney website. We have the Disney Visa card and wanted to book the Free Dining promo. Does anyone know if I can do that online, or do I have to call to get the Free Dining discount added??

You have to call to have the DV FD code applied to your reservation.

Have a couple of questions... Hoping to get some advice. I think I have read every page of this thread so if I missed a similar question I apologize. All things free dining. We will be going Nov 17-23 and staying at AoA and really looking to get a nemo suite. Saw there were none available or no one posted of receiving a nemo suite today and got free dining. So questions are book now then try to add fd if it becomes available or is it better to book once they announce fd? Then if like today there are no fd rooms for nemo suits can you also call back when they go on sale to the general public and try again? And yes I do have a disney visa. Thanks for any info.

There is no way to know at this point if they are going to offer a FD package for November; right now it's just good for most of Sept (2nd through 25th I believe).

So if I were you I'd go ahead and book the room and plan your vacation. YOu can always change it if FD comes out.

We planned our vacation as though FD was not an option... now we're changing it and saving money (and gaining better food). But had the FD not been offered our plans would have just gone on as usual.

Is the Art of Animations in with that deal? I have always thought the suites are not included

Unless I read wrong, the Nemo suites were very limited and Little Mermaild rooms weren't included at all in free dining. If they didn't include them now, I wouldn't bet on them doing it if they offer it in November.
