Thanks, Dee and Medicgirl

Our flight isn't until 7:30 that evening so we will probably wander around Epcot or DHS fir the first part of the day, then hit the pool in the afternoon, change, and take DME back to reality. Sigh

I read the first page but would like to confirm something about the coffee situation...

Room machines have filter packs of coffee grounds that are nescafe.
BC Marketplace serves Nescafe ( changeover has not happened)
Ale & Compass has real coffee in the mornings.
Boardwalk bakery is serving???

I stopped by the Boardwalk Bakery the other night and the manager said it's Joffrey's. They grind it fresh every morning.

I am so excited for all of you leaving this week. We leave on the 17th, but I still have lots to do. Praying my ears clear up. First time I have ever had ear pain with flying was 3 weeks ago (coming home from Nashville)...I thought my ear drum was going to rupture (it ruptured in November). Trying new meds now.

My question is where is everyone eating dinner on your arrival night? I am still up in the air on that one. Our plane arrives at 4:30pm (1:30 California time). I originally had reservations for Cape May, but with the CC guarantee I thought it might be too risky. I then made reservations for Captain's Grille, but I have recently read that they have changed their menu and read poor reviews...so I cancelled that! Ideas?

Jan

How about Kouzzina on the Boardwalk? Or Bluezoo at the Dolphin? The Captain's Grille reviews are worrying, aren't they? We have always liked it in the past, but the pictures of food from there recently...ack, sad!

I just wanted to let you YC lovers know we had a great visit. We had a stay at the BC back in 2006. While I liked it then I didn't really care if we went back. We've stayed at all the Deluxe resorts now except for the CR. We usually stay CL, but we had a great time without it this trip.

We went for my daughter's birthday. The MK resorts were a must when they were younger, but now that they are 12,14 & 18 the YC is the way to go. They all loved it as well. I will say I didn't start out feeling the love. Our room was in the last wing (2030), so a hike. We did utilize the side doors, and once we got the feel for the location not so bad. I didn't really care for the view at first (looked out at trees), but then enjoyed sitting on the balcony having a drink with my husband.

The forecast called for rain, but it was quiet nice. We had a great time at SAB. I found I really liked it this time, much more than when they were younger. They could go do their thing and I wouldn't have to worry. I did notice that when we went Saturday around 5pm they weren't checking for ID's.

We had a fun birthday dinner at B&C, grabbed some food at Hurricane Hannah's and watched the Derby and enjoyed some dinner at the Crew's Cup Lounge.

I wish we had more time to spend at the resort, but am thankful we can stop by for dinner now & then since were in the area.

Ack! I don't see you on the Be Our Guest list for May- I'll fix that! May 11?

:thumbsup2

:sunny::sunny::sunny:

Posting some sunshine for you. Sounds like you need a vacation!

Awesome upgrade!!! :cool1:

Was this at BC or another resort? I don't have any pictures from the 2BR Suite at BC in my Deluxe Room thread...

Thanks for checking in with us. Hope you were able to enjoy the pool!

:goodvibes

I have never seen/read about the dumbell buoys being sold at the resort. Can you pack or ship some? :scratchin

Thanks so much for the info!!!

:thumbsup2

It was at the BC. We also got CL. I know I have a few pictures, they are on my pad. If you pm me your email address I will do my best to send you what we have.

THANK YOU magicalmoments4, in today's mail I was delighted to receive my laminated Sunken Treasure recipe card. Just in the knick of time!! Yay!!!! What a great job! Kudos!

So can BCV guests use the refillable mug station at boardwalk bakery? Aren't you supposed to just use your home resort? Not sure about the Nescafé so I'd like to know where my good coffee options are in the morning!

32 days until we are at the BC and........I GOT MICKEY MAIL, I GOT MICKEY MAIL, I GOT MICKEY MAIL!!!!!!!:yay::yay::yay:

I'm the only one excited about this here in my house, so I had to share with you guys. I know my friends here understand how I feel. :grouphug:

Or as we call it around here "The Magical Depress"

This year is the first time we have a full last Disney day and late flight leaving Florida, so we may be following a similar agenda on our final day.

That would be fantastic! Thanks.

I don't mind posting my email address here: beachclubdee at yahoo.com

I only use this address for Beach Club business and to correspond with bankers from Nigeria who want to give me stacks of money.

What is this laminated sunken treasure card of which you speak? ;)

Thanks! Maybe I can convince hubby to grab some after his morning run.

Another HUGE thank you to magicalmoments4. My laminated recipe was in today's mail. Thank you!:banana::banana:

Two things relating to food-

First, swan/dolphin "walkup" questions - we have done walkup for breakfast and dinner for nearly every restaurant at swan/dolphin at some point or another. The only exception is character bfast at garden grill (just never tried, it may be fine). Your question was specifically bfast, most of which is at dolphin- we have never done anything other than walkup both for picabu (which is counter service anyway) and for the "fancier" bfast buffet at dolphin right next to picabu (forgetting name right now)..

For diiner on arrival-sat, may 11- some variation of sampling the "world" at epcot country pavilions and the special food kiosks for flower/garden- our son is 3, so will be relatively early, nopefully not too rowdy of crowd yet

Thought I had quoted your post when I went though earlier today, but apparently not...

:welcome:

Glad you have ended up back at the Yacht & Beach Club!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

:woohoo:

Thank you! Got a return email today from IPO regarding dining reservations. All changes were made just as I asked. Sigh....so nice.

Question about the lazy river...can children wear swim arms or use noodles or rings? I guess adults for that matter, too. Can adults use rings or floats?

Sad, tried to add free dining to our BC ressie, they only offer it on laguna view or higher rooms, would have cost me $800 more to stay here over CR...so back to CR...really love CR, but was way too excited after reading about BC! Please post if anyone gets FD on garden or standard view! Good luck all!

Does this happen a lot? We are staying in a Garden View (BC) the week after Thanksgiving and was hoping and praying for a discount of some sort.

Thank you magicalmoments4! My sunken treasure recipe was waiting for me when I got home today. Just the thing to put a little pep in my step after an exhausting Derby weekend in Kentucky :)
