"I timed the ADR wrong since the only day Remy doesn't appear is on Sunday. Guess I'll have to eat there again!"
"I started off with a glass of Beaujolais Villages."
"Followed by the French Onion Soup."
"Delicious but furnace hot!"
"Entree was Quiche and mixed green salad."
"Light and refreshing!"
"Dessert was the Strawberry Cream Cake and Strawberry sorbet."

"After riding some rides and walking around, I stopped for the infamous Pineapple Dole Whip with Spiced Rum. I tried to mix the rum into the Dole Whip and it was really good!"

Then Jill said, "Next up was a fun Cinco de Mayo/Cinco de Drinko Dismeet with the DisMoms at La Cava in Mexico aka The Ditch."
"I started off with a Blood Orange Margarita. This was super yummy and strong!"
"Next up was a Pineapple Margarita. I liked this one as well."
"I also got a picture of the Jalapeno Margarita but I didn't try it."
"I ordered the Triple Combo which included chips/salsa, spicy guacamole, and queso dip. Helped soak up some of the alcohol!"

"First up was an amuse bouche. It was some sort of shrimp/fish thing that was formed into a oval shape.
Not bad but I'm not a huge seafood lover."
"The appetizer was the arancini. So good! Fried rice ball with lots of sausage and cheese with tomato sauce."
"I chose the Berkshire Pork Two Ways. Pork tenderloin, pork belly, and mashed potatoes with swiss chard and bacon.
The pork was melt in your mouth tender."
"For dessert I got the Lemon Scented Cheesecake. It's a lighter version (compared to NY cheesecake) and slightly lemony. Very delicious."
"Just for fun, I took a picture of the worst park shoes I've ever seen. Silver sparkle 4 inch platform heels."

Ok, of all the dining related comments I was going to make they are all forgotten now that I saw those platform heels!! That's crazy!! But it does look as if they match her sparkly top quite well.
Rachel I was going to say that I love Jills nail polish too - you beat me to it!
I must have been hiding in a cave (ha) because I didn't know that La Cava has guac and chips. That is definitely an incentive to order that avocado margarita there!
StuffedwFluff's little guy eating pizza is adorable!!
And finally, I love Citricos so Jill's dinner reminds me of great dining experiences there.

I just laughed when I saw those platform shoes. I can't believe people really walk around the parks in those things. Makes my feet hurt just looking at them. 
And those margaritas. HELLO! Can't wait until we are there in just a little over two weeks.

Let's begin today with auntfrannie's updates from last night, starting with a lunch update from Animal Kingdom's...
"Big Bamboo: Malibu coconut rum, light rum, banana liqueur and tropical fruit juices. Surprisingly, this didn't taste like banana or coconut but rather mango. Go figure. I guess the tropical fruit juices overpowered the other flavors. This was enjoyable; a nice, light cocktail but it didn't have much alcohol to it."
"Pork egg rolls (side order): Your basic egg rolls served with a dipping sauce. The sauce was too sweet for me so I used the soy sauce instead. I'm glad they offered these in a smaller portion side order; the appetizer portion would have been too large."
"Malaysian Seafood Curry: Mahi mahi, scallops, little neck clams, mussels, shrimp, zucchini, roma tomatoes in a red curry coconut broth served with jasmine rice. I think this is the best entree I've ever had at Y&Y! I love this dish. It's very flavorful with a nice kick from both the broth and the cilantro that's served on top."

"I started with the Harmattan Cooler: Tangerine liquer, cherry brandy and whole wildberry tea. I enjoyed this because it wasn't a sweet drink."
"I love the flatbreads at Jiko so I went with the Roasted Kubota Squash and Kalamata Olive flatbread. This also had cipollini onions, goat cheese and pumpkin seeds. Loved this! I enjoyed the saltiness from the olives and the creaminess of the goat cheese."
"My entree was the Jerked Scallops. This was served with basmati rice, red quinoa with a coconut curry sauce. I liked the jerk spice on the seared scallops. They were perfectly cooked and paired well with the rice and coconut curry sauce."
"So far the meal was wonderful. Apparently Jiko recently changed their dessert menu. The coconut bread pudding that I was so looking forward to enjoying is no longer on the menu."
"Nothing really appealed to me so I went with something that sounded different: Milk Tart. This was gooseberry tart with goat milk balsamic ice cream on the side. I didn't care for this at all. I've never had gooseberry before; it tasted like apricot to me. Overall, the tart itself tasted too bland. The goat milk ice cream also did nothing for me."

Is there a true coconut taste to the curry at Yak and Yeti? I know a lot of people here have tried it, and I think my husband would love this dish, but he hates coconut. If there's a true coconut taste he would hate the dish, if there isn't he would love the dish.

I can definitely taste the coconut milk in the broth. It's a subtle sweetness that couples really well with the heat from the spices.

The flatbread from Jiko looks delicious
Linda, it really was! The creamy goat cheese with the olives....mmmm. The flatbread itself was very thin and crisp. Jiko's does flatbreads right!
