I try linking reservations to My Disney Experience and it worked about 2 weeks ago. Now when I log in there is nothing linked. When I try to link my res. again they tell me that they belong to Mrs. ******** - that's me! and it still won't let me access my info. :confused3

When I Made this post about the FP+ this comes right from a mouth that's really working on them. Now is everything going to work out the way they are saying now who knows.. they want you to use there app to plan your day he is saying there will be FP+ available every day and those people who don't come and use there FP those will go back into inventory for use by other people. .

I'm curious how they will put FPs back into inventory from "those people who don't come and use their FP"? Won't the time-frame be past for those FPs? They can't take away your FPs before the end of your time frame, right?

And I don't see how they can reserve a large enough space for parade FP+s to accommodate everyone in the front, which is where they will want to be - I think you will find that people with parade FP+ will still claim their curbs early and wait, especially if they realize that the space is limited. I cannot imagine (for me) how awful it will feel if they start holding all of Main St for FP+ only - yuck! - and that is going to take a LOT of CMs to monitor.

Going in October - been wondering about this all along. FP+ concerns me - I don't want to be one of the first to test something, cuz I'll prolly screw something up. I only go every 5 years or so so I'm not expert enough to really work with something new till others have figured out all the kinks, lol.

I DO want a MagicBand tho - really, really want a NBC Jack band, but maybe a POTC one?

Thanks for info!

We're going in December and I'm a little worried about the same thing. With the way things are slipping I expect there might still be significant kinks to work out when we get there. That's why this thread is so cool...we can keep an eye on how things are going.

Either way though our Disney time is going to be great...it always is! :goodvibes

Very weird, this was taken moments ago...

Has the button totally disappeared? Hmm.

This happened on another FP+ thread a couple of months ago I think. Someone found a button, discussed it on the thread, others went to look for it - but minutes after is went 'poof'.

Which makes me certain that the web designers are actively reading these specific threads for information.

I use to tinker on a website a few years back, and would do the same thing. Content wise, or link wise, I could make things appear or disappear pretty much instantly on the live site. Now a button would probably take the web designers ability, and I dont know how complicated it would be. (my computer skills are about equivalent as my spelling and math skills- not great!) But based on this, and what happened a few months ago, I guess its pretty easy for the web designers to do.

I also use to 'hide' stuff in the live site to see how it looked and behaved live, to make sure I did all the tech stuff correct (dreamweaver was good, but sometimes I couldnt catch everything, it always looked different).

The web guys must giggle when they 'confound' us.

So, if you find something, and report it on a thread like this, its going to disappear if we are not meant to see it right now. I would suggest that perhaps if you find something, dont say anything, at least on an obvious FP+ thread. I suspect that the designers only typically read the threads that pertain to their 'baby', a consolidated thread like this must be heaven sent to them. They wont have time or inclination to read any of the other stuff on these boards. Just sayin.

And, just to make the web designers life a little more complicated, I would suggest that buttons like these are there because they need to 'test' it. So they probably go 'active' for VERY SHORT periods of time. If you find one, keep going back to it and trying it, any time day or night. You might be suprised at what happens.

Mine is still there, and is there every time I check for it. This is not a case of it appearing and disappearing for all, but it appearing for some and not others. I am also talking about the app, not the website.

This could happen! :)

I dont know anything about developing aps. Would they need an admin site and then the live applicaction site? If so, then same thing.

But, my theory is incorrect if you can still see yours mesa boy. If its gone or moved by the designer, then its gone and moved for everyone on the live site.

However, have you totally exited the ap, and then gone back in and its still there?

Several times. It may have something to do with my account, because my "past items" (reservations I had at one point or another) appear above the FP+ placeholder. The others who don't see FP+ I think also don't see any past items.

Hmm, interesting.

I don't know enough about it to say for sure. However, when things get noted on threads like these, and then suddenly become 'unavailable' or disappear on the live site - and read here, the live ap, because I think aps must work on the same premise, but I really dont know that!) , it really does point to web designer OR content provider to some degree, content provider can get rid of simple stuff just by breaking the link. (I was content provider, it had spell check :)).

And I don't see how they can reserve a large enough space for parade FP+s to accommodate everyone in the front, which is where they will want to be - I think you will find that people with parade FP+ will still claim their curbs early and wait, especially if they realize that the space is limited.
This is why I'll never use FP+ for a parade. Even though we love parades. If I'm going to see it, I want to be in front. Even if it means claiming my spot 90 minutes or longer in advance. So I won't take a chance on FP+ since I could still end up behind someone.

1. Mobile Magic does not have it.
2. There is about zero chance that FP+ will be in place later this month.
3. Do not stress--it's just another trip for you.
4. Have fun!

thank you

so if not on moble magic where do you find it?
i thought every thing was on that app

thanks

Interesting.. my fp+ is gone, but now my past dining reservations are there which weren't there before.. but still no past resort.. not that the past stuff matters.. lol

Yes, sir!:thumbsup2

Then I think the most likely determinant as to whether we see that placeholder or not is something that is based on our Disney accounts. As you can see, I've had past reservations in the system and the app lists them, along with the FP+ placeholder. I'm assuming for now that it can't be seen by those without past reservations or by those who have some innocuous-looking account setting different than mine. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it. ;)

thank you

My Disney Experience is the newer app, being phased in as Disney Mobile Magic is being phased out. As you can see from the discussion though, not everybody can see the FastPass+ "button" on MDE either. And for those that do see it, it doesn't do jack. So you now have some insight why I don't think you need to worry about it later this month. ;)

If you scroll to the bottom of your past reservations, do you see FP+?

Exactly. "You don't seem to have any past reservations" in tiny print is all that is at the top of the screen.

I am positive Disney does read DISboards.. Maybe that is the only way they'd have a clue that this whole thing is a cluster fumble....

We've to WDW many times, no past reservations show up and quite honestly I would be disturbed if they did! Nothing has ever been booked thru the website, always thru CRO and dining ressies this trip thru IPO. Dining ressies do show up in the proper spot. I have not 'linked' our current reservation, nor will I. I don't need the headache.
