Free Dining 2013

No, it really doesn't for me either. Just want to pay it off and move on. :)

No but things like this remind us of why it's never 100% even though some like to insist it is from the first day it's predicted. Never bet the bank until its official.

I can't seem to find if this was already asked, it looks to me like it wasn't,

If infact Disney visa holders get the offer and are able to start booking tomorrow, will anyone post the regulations, such as the dates, hotels, restrictions, etc. from the dv offer so that us GP waiters would have an even more solid idea of what's to come on Thursday??

I'm semi new to the boards so I wasn't sure if people will be on here posting some more set in stone info starting tomorrow if the dv FD offer drops tomorrow. I know I'm eager for GP FD to just be announced officially already so we can tweak our trip accordingly :)

Well really, I don't think that the original announcement siad anything about the 6TH. All they said was the 9TH, then everyone started asking about the Disney Visa early release and that is where the 6TH came about, but maybe I am mistaken.

No it didn't. But one perk of the visa has always been advance booking availability. It's always been three days minimum.

Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow. Funny how this isn't even my discount, but I am so excited to find out what happens. LOL

And, just as a side note, in 2010, there was a Free Dining offer that went straight out for the general public and had no Disney Visa offer - there's a very slim chance of that happening again, but it did happen that one time.

Actually no. In 2010 the public offer dropped on May 3 and visa holders could book on April 29. I remember it well because nobody expected the visa offer and that morning we all found out by surprise. It's also on the mousesavers historic dates as well. But that date has stuck in my mind well. Plus that one was greater than the normal three days advance.

Now that you say that, that was our last trip. It was the only time we had free dining. I do remember it being very hush, hush and EVERYONE saying there wasn't going to be free dining. Kind of like this year was prior to the announcement. ;)

Just FYI, I will be on here tomorrow, or whatever day it may be, (as I am sure many others will be too) relaying any and all info that comes my way.

The Waaaaaiiiiting is The Hardest Part.....:rolleyes1

And one person who insisted it wouldn't happen. Funny thing is I messaged that person later and she turned around and said she had known it would happen all along, she was just messing with everyone. Yea right. Free dining has been "dead" every year since around 2007 and I'm sure everyone will say it next year too.

And if I get a bounce back this year I'm booking it. I can't take this constant waiting.

That's correct, but on July 6, 2010, they released a Free Dining promo that covered select dates from August 15, 2010 all the way through September 29, 2011 and Disney Visa holders did not get an offer/chance on booking that FD promo early.

These boards will blow up with info once the FD offer opens. And if there is a Disney Visa offer, all the details will be on their website at some point that day.

"They" say there isn't going to be free dining every year ;-(

Did you swipe the message on your phone to get the delete option or it won't come up?

It won't even give me a delete option on my phone. We had to come straight to a volleyball practice after church, so I'll be on my phone most of the day.

They have been saying that every year since the first one. Been wrong so far!!

Yup they indeed have. You'd think they'd get tired of saying it too. I find that most who say it are those who don't like free dining because they'd rather go in September and have the parks to themselves. However, that really isn't too good for business on Disney's part.

Absolutely true! That is the year I went in Dec. and I had thought I had missed something- I am late to catch onto a lot of things, but not usually Disney offers. I frantically called and I they said there was no DV offer. And I still got my room of choice!:goodvibes

My bad, I didn't realize you were talking about July. I don't think any of the offers releases at this point haven't had visa perks, at least in many years.

Yep, that one time in 2010 is the only FD offer, that I am aware of, where DV holders did not get the offer first :-)
