Who's in for GREECE and TURKEY, June 15 2003????

Has anyone received there luggage tags yet? I am waiting for ours to show up.

We are very excited we leave 6 June. We are flying into Liondon, then taking the train to Paris, then taking train to Barcelona. I am ready to see London again and looking forward to Paris and Barcelona. Staying in London for 5 days, Paris 3 days, Barcelona 1 day prior to cruise and then 2 days after. Can't wait!:yay:

Sue, What are the "changes to the Magic" you referred to?

Dos arrived today (and we live out west), so everyone should be seeing them this/next week I would think. party:

Lots of changes:

1. Remove Mickey Pool and install splash pad,
2. Install new AquaDunk water slide,
3. Remove Parrot Cay and replace with Brazilian theme restaurant,
4. Upgrade Animator's Palate to same interactive as on the Dream/Fantasy.

Can't wait t see them all.

We are definitely of the "pack some underwear" in your carryon camp; and really in the "pack an outfit" in your carryon camp. We've only had one time where anyone had to have it mid-travel and that was when a Sprite exploded all over one of the boys in the Houston airport during a layover. Because he had a change of clothes, he was able to get cleaned up and not have to be wet and sticky for the rest of the trip.

That happened to my DD as well. She accidentally spilled the cup of sprite onto her lap. Thank goodness for the extra clothing in her carryon.

We started packing a change after a friend of ours was stuck in the middle seat and the old man next to him peed on himself and it got all over our friend - eeewwwwww.... and he didn't have a change with him AND his luggage didn't make it. Double-eewwwww...

eeewww!!!

I did pick up sunscreen and after-sun-soother for the trip because I've read a lot on cruise critic about being especially mindful of the Grecian sun.

A family friend, who grew up in Turkey and moved to California 15 years ago, cautioned our family to wear very light clothing (for example, linen shorts, dress, cotton clothing). She said that the sun is relentless.

We are also considering a Hawaiian cruise for next summer if we can get in at Aulani, so I've been reading up on them and the after-sun is something that is on nearly all of the packing tips I've seen. Hopefully it will be an "unused" item but at least we'll have it if we, or anyone we know, needs some.

We stayed at the Aulani when it first opened. It was so nice! Food is very expensive. We ate at each of the restaurants for experience, but the rest of the time, I just walked across to ABC market and purchase very inexpensive good meals. Then, brought it back. It saved my pocketbook.

Our FE's are done except for adding the cabin numbers for the GTYs that are getting their cabin assignments, so that will soon be checked off our list. I have a couple more name tags to do for the folks who have just signed on; I'll have these for everyone at the Meet/Greet on the first day - they just slip in your lanyard if you want. We got our door magnets done a few days ago, so I just need to take the ones off our front door that we want and add them to the "to be packed" box.

That's great! Thanks for making the nametags. This will be fun. The DDs are going to make their magnets ... they are old and I am curious as to what they will make.

whew - I feel like I have made progress :) Gary and the boys just shake their heads when I say I don't want to wait til the last minute - they are like "but it's still over a month away" - they would wait til the day before we leave to even think about packing and that's when they'd find out they didn't have enough x, y, or z. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm working a full day the day before we leave and won't get home til about 7 PM and do NOT want to stay up til after midnight doing stuff that could have been done a couple of weeks in advance. And no last-minute-run to Walmart either.

That's ok. My DH thinks that I am too obsessive with the planning... but I am almost finished ... :dance3:just need to pack, print boarding passes, drop off our chocolate lab at my in-laws, and drive to the airport.

Yes, I know... it's not until June, but I do need a vacation. And yes, my DH and I have to work until the day before.

He's an architect and I am a recruiter.

The future changes that they are making while in dry dock! Some need cards that were done by Ducky.

We got our cruise docs today as well :dance3: So excited:cheer2:

I'm working on the FE's and I'm about halfway done. Determined to be done in the next week.

We did the Med cruise back in 2010 and packed pretty light 2 suitcases and a garment bag for the 4 of us. I did end up having to buy a small rolling bag on the way back though. The boys are bigger now though so I'm packing 4 suitcases this time around and leaving room in them. If I take less carry-on I figure it will be about the same.

Hi! I am only missing the GTY number for long_time_cruiser so I thought I do a quick update today before I leave for another week in San Francisco for work. I will update it again next weekend if I get the last GTY.

The document has also been updated with the information I could get off the spreadsheet for 'lambego' which are listed as 'Yes (late)' in the Fish Extender column. I think the only piece of information missing for them is the name of the 6th person which was listed as 'N/A' on the spreadsheet.

Here you go...

The girls and I are almost completely packed as well. I don't do last minute packing, if it isn't packed a few days before we leave, it isn't going. Now I just have to pack my husband's suitcase because he is like having a 3rd child and then I have to pack all the pet stuff that needs to go to the pet sitters and then I am done.

I agree with you. But this time I am going to write down what I pack. Last time I did not do that and had to unpack a suitcase a week before we left. DH laugh! We finished shopping today at Belks for the few items of clothing we wanted to get. For folks in the west it is like Macy's and only 10 minutes from our home. :)

Wow! Did it rain. When we returned to the boat around 3 p.m., the water was so choppy. Then, it progressively became worse by 7 p.m. There were 4 tender boats that had to circle around to try to get some "stability". The water was extremely choppy that it started to make the boat rock. My DH became seasick and had to get some Dramamine. Then, half of our late-seating crew were late.

Sorry to break off in a tangent, but bring some motion sickness medication. Take some before you get on the boat.

My DH sails alot on the San Francisco Bay and off the coast of Santa Cruz. He doesn't get motion sickness, but the time in LaSpezia... he became sick to his stomach.

Wow! Thanks for that note! Right outside our Golden Gate is some of the roughest water there is (or so I thought)! We don't usually have any trouble with motion sickness, but this trip.......having a cabin at the bow and reading this note about your exp. in LaSpezia........I'll pack something for sure in case we need it. :-) Thank you for sharing your experience!
