I had a terrible flight down too. It didn't help I had a headache which turned into a migraine and I never get migraines. I took a vicoden-which I had along incase my back went out again. And before we boarded, I realized my headache was gone, but I felt so looped out, I was lucky they left me on the plane. The stewardesses probably thought, "great, another drunk".

Awesome, I'll be joining in too! My cats also "helped" me pack in the way that yours did And I'm excited to hear all about Animal Kingdom Lodge as DH and I are staying there for the first time in August!

It took me a moment, but I figured out who you were from all the letters.... yeah I am that little hahaha I hide it well. One of my students ran into me in the hall the other day and FREAKED out over how small I am. After just seeing me behind a desk they didn't realize...

Assure her life is wonderful as a very petite person! Next update is written, the update after that require photopass, so I am trying to spread them out. My hope is to stay 2-3 updates ahead so I don't get behind and stressed LOL (yes I put wayyyyy too much thought into these things.) Maybe I could break the next into two there are ton of photos!!

We were greeted outside the door by a very nice person using what looked like an IPad.
Before we even got to the check in desk we were half checked in! We were told about the new tap system, and set up our PIN. We had a little trouble and the nice CM had to reset the system, but before I knew it we were on our way!

One thing I did notice at check in is that the welcome folder is now much smaller. I like that, as it was easier to keep track of, and bring home. It holds all the same information, but it is about the size of a half a sheet of standard paper.

Once we were checked in we made a stop, and made our first purchase of the trip:



We were very happy to see that while it wasn't as cheap as at home, the card wasn't insanely expensive either! We checked out, and headed up to our room, camera card in hand, with everything we needed... or so we though (oooohhhhh foreshadowing&..)

While many people complain about the walk from the lobby to their room we didn't think it was that bad, and we were pretty far out.

In fact we were pretty much exactly across from our Savannah View Room from last year....

We went into our room, and always we were just blown away with how nice the Disney rooms are! It gets me every time.

We were greeted by a Mickey head towel!




I love the bedding! It just pulls the whole room together!



The only thing the room doesn't have that I wish it did was the Lion King tiles in the shower like some of the bigger rooms do. I still love the themeing in the bathrooms though.

One change since our last visit was a change in the products that they leave. I wasn't the biggest fan of the new ones. I really liked the old ones, but these were fine.



All of the new products feature Tinkerbell instead of Mickey like the old ones.

The only thing left to do was see our standard view. Imagine my surprise when standard turned out to be



Yep, we got one of the rooms with the people pens!!!!!! That fenced area is so that if there is a fire or need to evacuate there is a safe place for people to go. Apparently enough people complained about the view that they made these rooms Standard. I was one happy girl!
While I took photos and gushed about the room to my sister on the phone Josh started unpacking and getting all of our things organized.

Hi there fellow Mainer! Can I join the party?? All my subscriptions seem to be ending and I need a new TR to follow along with. I am not going until August, so I need to get my Disney fix from TRs.

I went in search of a recent trip to follow along with because I was curious to see if they are using the bracelets or FP+ yet. But I didn't see a bracelet on your wrist in that first picture I wish they would just tell us when they are starting those so we can plan better.

No bracelets for us, though I did see a cast member in a suit carrying some at one point... Glad you are here to join, another Mainer is always welcome!!!! August isn't so far off, you all planned!?

Define "all planned" LOL..... I have flights booked, ADRs made, mousekeeping envelopes done and filled. I have one resort booked, but not sure if I'm switching or not. Still a lot to figure out!
AKL is one of the ones in the running, so I am looking forward to all your resort info and pics
