The gift cards you can buy at Canadian Disney Stores are not valid in the US, and NOT valid at WDW. I asked just 2 weeks ago. They are ONLY valid in Canada (they are in $CAN). You would have to go over the border to purchase an American Disney gift card for use at WDW.

You can purchase Disney gift cards on the disneystore.com website.

to get 2 value rooms an pay th difference forTS meals or is it cheaper to go to a moderate resot that includes TS
we are 5 adult -- need 2 rooms sept 2 to sept 8

It is significantly less to do the 2 connecting value rooms. It would be about $110 per night more under the FD discount to get 2 mods. So on a 7 night stay, it would be about $770 less to get the 2 value rooms, even with the DDP upgrade.

I want my free dining and I want it now.... ok actually I just want to be at Disney now and its killing me to wait so at least getting to book makes it seem like it is coming sooner. Just hope that I can avoid putting on the 20 lbs I put on last trip. I seriously have no idea how people can eat in the states at restaurants without putting on 5 lbs a meal.

You can't make that kind of change on line. You might as well wait until the day you call to add the FD code and make all the changes at one time. I would have a back up value resort, All StarMovies or Pop are our favorite values, because IF those Little Mermaid rooms are even available under the FD promo, they will be VERY limited. Personally, I will be shocked if they are included under the next FD Promo since they have been blacked out of virtually all discounts since they opened - but anything is possible, just be ready with a back up value resort

I have flown Southwest for years but I will NEVER, EVER understand why they don't allow you to book airline tickets more than 6 months out? Do they not understand how many over-planners there are in the world? LOL.

I got a quote from a TA a couple of weeks back and she just sent me this!!

"I just wanted to circle back to see if you're still interested in a Disney trip in September. A new discount for that time frame will be released on Thursday and though we don't know for sure what it will be, there are some very credible rumors that it will be free dining. (Which I did not believe we will see this year, but this source has a strong track record of being right, so let's hope its true!)

If you're still interested let me know and I would be happy to provide you with a new quote on the 9th when the offer comes out."

Seems like it is concrete evidence!!!!! FREE DINING! Even though I trust black, 411 & Danny...that email was like the last 1% doubt I had is gone!!!

It's cheaper to stay in one room at POR with a family of 5. That's what were doing, I'm going to check the numbers once again to be sure. I have ran the numbers many times already. Keep in mind my kids are all considered adults now. If you have young kids it may be different for you.

I just checked again it's $804.33 more for us to get 2 rooms at POP and upgrade the dining. As much as I would love 2 bathrooms my DH would rather save the money.
