What's everybody's guess for the last date it will be offered in December?

Probably November 30 - December 5 and December 14-19, just based on previous promos and scheduled events this year. Also, if you check in by the last day of a FD promo, you can have discount applied to your entire stay, up to 14 nights.

You can book and pay off your trip with gift cards, but if you do that, be sure to keep the cards in case you need a refund. They will refund you in the form of the original payment, so hang on to those empty cards until after your trip.

Sweet! I've been waiting for free dining to come out. Crossing my fingers that the rumors are true. We get 5% off the Disney gift cards at target, every bit helps. Just wanted to make sure before I started buying them

There are other gift cards too, and it worked for tmobile refill cards. 5% is 5%!

I think no one really expected it for Disney visa holders till the 6th. The general public is the 9th.

Not sure what you mean? The rumored date for DV FD promo is May 6 and GP FD promo is May 9.

I'm very sad that I won't be eligible for the FD as we're going Aug 24- Sept 1st! I will have to budget and pay OOP. I've heard people say they use gift cards instead of cash to keep things simple and so that it's prepaid. Can you tell me how to buy them and what the process is, as well as if they accept them everywhere...ie, TS, CS, carts, souvenirs etc... Thanks you so much!!! Elisa

From everything I have read it is very unlikely your dates will fall into FD this year. Jersey Week is normally blacked out for discounts. I myself am going Nov 3-8 and booked thru a TA who was offering an agency exclusive for my dates due to Jersey Week normally being blacked out.

You can buy the gift cards at the Disney store, CVS, Target, Costco. Etc. Then you just use them like a credit card. They accept the Disney gift cards at all Disney parks, restaurants and Downtown Disney.
