Free Dining 2013

So if I were to apply for a Disney Visa today would I be eligible for the early discounts starting today or I would probably need the card in hand for that to work? I've become concerned we will lose our AOA suite if we get the free dining and we were all pretty excited about staying there!

As long as you can get the card number, you can do it. You just have to put $200 on the card. I would call Disney visa directly and see if they can do that.

You will need to card in hand when you call. The usually release a certain amount of FD rooms for the DV offer and release the rest for the GP offer. If you call the first day of the GP offer for the AOA suites you should be okay, it's the Little Mermaid rooms that will be hard to get.

Earlier someone spoke of Touring Plans. I was on there a couple of days ago to see if crowd levels have changed since FD rumor. Before, every day of our trip was 1-1.3, now some days are up to 4.8. Any thoughts as to whether this Sept will see higher crowds compared to past Sept's with FD?

Gosh I hope not! I plan our trips so we are not dying of heat and standing in line for hours! Lol

Oh wow. I can't imagine anyone not liking Disney. But I'm glad you at least were able to have fun.

Our last trip together I think I wore him out. He had blisters on top of blisters where I could go all day/night long. My normal work day can last up to 16 hours (3:30am to 8:00pm)and I'm on my feet all day so running around disney is nothing. But if they do offer fd in November, it's going to be hard for me to do a table service each day because I hate to leave the parks or the rides when I'm having a good time. My kids too big as he says for character breakfasts and he is a very picky eater so trying to find ts resteraunts are tough. Whould you happen to know if the rain forest cafe takes the dining plan. I saw a review and that person mentioned that they did not.

I almost forgot, the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party dates were released this afternoon and go on sale tomorrow morning, May 1st. I know a lot of the September - December travelers have been looking for these dates:

2013 MNSSHP dates: September 10, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27, 29 October 3, 4, 6, 10, 11, 14, 17, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, 29, 31 November 1

2013 MVMCP dates: November 8, 11, 14, 15, 17, 21, 22 December 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20

Just curious if anyone has experience or knowledge of how crowded the MVMCP is the Thursday &/or Friday before Thanksgiving. We are playing around with the idea of going since we've never been before but I don't want to go if it's gonna be jam-packed ~ I'll get enough of that Thanksgiving week ;)

Oh, darn! Funny we are the opposite, we don't mind the heat; we try to avoid crowds.
Oops! Two of you have the same avatar and I thought you were commenting back about the Villain party. On Touring Plans I rechecked an the days they are showing higher crowds are the days with EMH's. So, I guess we can avoid parks with those hours and not have to wait in line.

Cool, I plan on calling at 7am day one. We want the suite for sure so that makes me feel better! Thanks!

Hey guys, rather than me posting some news this morning, I'm going to defer to plutopalforever and let her share. I will say that what she's about to tell y'all is accurate.

Yes Pluto I just put you on the spot....let you have some limelight this morning.

Oh no you didn't! What Black means is that I just confirmed some info that he already knew and he will be able to divulge more details, but Sept. Free Dining is not a rumor!:stir:

Glad you figured out what will work for you! Sometimes it does work to pay for a couple meals out of pocket. You must be planning a long trip for it to cost $1000 more to upgrade which is fabulous. :)

tx! we are very excited! 8 nights 9 days but we have 2 ad and 2 kids so if its 44 + tax a day for ad and 18 for kids then it wpuld be around 140 a day!!

Okay, could one of you please tell us. I have to leave for work and won't be able to look until 10 long hours from now. Please put me out of my misery.:)
