I know several of y'all have been this year, and I was wondering if you have a picture of the refillable mug. JM was asking if they would look the same, or different. I assumed it would be different, or at least I hope they are different.

They are the same as they have been for the last 2.5 years... :sad2:

We didn't even buy any this trip because we have too many of the current design. I like to collect them and haven't been able to add a new one in quite some time. :headache:

I have seen a few posts saying it is still the same one with the pool scene. I already have 2 like that so I really hope they get a new one soon.

Well that stinks. :scratchin Maybe it's Disney's way of telling us to re-use the refillable mugs? :confused3

Happy Birthday to our Deena!!!party::bday::hug:

You are such a good mama!
YOU are an awesome Mama!!!!

Question?? Aiming for April, but due to DH work schedule, might have to do August....thoughts???

Obviously we did July last year....is August much different? Thinking at the end of August there will be very low crowds???
Hot hot hot and rain...BUT value season, so occupancy is usually not as high

Jeanette fantastic news about HRH's MRI! Hope all is good with Bree :goodvibes
You broke the system is why it is down for maintenance
:confused3 My bad ;)

Forgot to mention stupid me showed Bob the article about the BW Bakery re-opening in Disney Food Blog and now he wants to go back there. He started going on about how much he likes it there. I told him he will love the Poly too!

Have to get lots of Poly food pictures now to tempt him away from the BWI
I switched yesterday to CR CL, and DH is like...what about the BW and funnel cakes...:rotfl2: Then he said he's not getting used to any idea since I will change :rolleyes1

Yay for HRH! Keeping her and Bree and DS in my thoughts.

So whatcha changing?
I am a bit torn between CR and Poly:goodvibes

Well, I was able to make the majority of reservations via the telephone. Got the coveted Be Our Guest dinner, along with a few of my other favorite restaurants.
:cool1: Congrats!!!
Promise promise promise to catchup this evening. Steven now has modified days at school which for the time being means he is only at at school for about 2 hours then does the rest of his work at home with me. Missing my RC family :(

HUGS,
Melissa

 Oh Melissa!!! I hope this helps Steven out

Aww jeez, please don't tell me you are a Paul Blart fan, too??!!
Kevin James rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing wrong with switching it up :) It actually keeps your luggage organized.
::yes::

Jeanette I guess your DH will have to visit the BW some evening to get his funnel cakes ......too bad we are not there at the same time him and Bob could go together. :rotfl:

So true Sheila, they are very similar eaters... and then you and I can take the kiddos over to the castle

Good morning to all. :goodvibes

I owe everyone a "catch up" post! I've missed lots of goings-on.

Let me throw in a quick new website ADR complaint... (like you guys haven't heard the likes of this before, right? )

After saying I wanted to keep it simple and only have 2 ADRs, we decide to do add a special "kick it off right" on our first morning and I booked CRT. We've never eaten there since Miss M isn't really a princess sorta gal but we both decided the location would be a sweet start to the vacation. I looked last night to see that MK usually opens at 9am on the day we had it booked (I booked a breakfast ressie at 9:05am). This morning, I decide to check for an earlier time and noticed an 8:30 was available so I proceeded to book that one. It pops up with a conflicting reservation window. What was strange about this was it had listed the original reservation time as 10:05am. Weird, right? So I cancelled the original and decided to check my other ADRs...

I booked Artist Point for our arrival night, a Saturday (also our anniversary) and the website now has it listed as SUNDAY! What?! It's also a totally different reservation number than the one in the confirmation email (which has the correct day and time). If all they really want us to do is eventually have to break down and call anyway, why don't they just get rid of the new totally-borked website?

Back after my torture session to catch up. I hope everyone's mornings are off to a good start so far...

Why is the system down.....argh!!!

Ds goes for surgery May 23

Hrh has a negative MRI....woohoo

Bree heads back to cardiologist next week...chest pain :(

All in all....we are all good :) just being cautious with Bree. Ent said ds will be fine for Disney!!!

Pas-Thinking of you and your sweet kids! :goodvibes

Well, as one trip has come to an end, the planning for another has just begun....:rotfl:

Question?? Aiming for April, but due to DH work schedule, might have to do August....thoughts???

Obviously we did July last year....is August much different? Thinking at the end of August there will be very low crowds??? :confused3

MM-What took you so long???? :rotfl2: Seriously, we've only been once in late Aug, and it was reasonably busy. Doable, though. :thumbsup2

Well, I was able to make the majority of reservations via the telephone. Got the coveted Be Our Guest dinner, along with a few of my other favorite restaurants.

Petey-Yay! :yay:

Promise promise promise to catchup this evening. Steven now has modified days at school which for the time being means he is only at at school for about 2 hours then does the rest of his work at home with me. Missing my RC family :(

Melissa, Hang in there! We'll be here. Thinking of ya! :goodvibes

Pas-Love the change! :cool1:Do you think a CR/Poly split is in the works?
We've never stayed at a monorail before, so we're looking forward to 2 nights at CR. After a "few":rotfl: indecisive changes, we decided that's where we'll be. What sealed the deal were the rumors about Cali Grill being open (hopefully) in Sept. We have a just in case reservation at Narcoossees. I sent an email to the IPO, and they've noted our request, for CG. They will book it if dining open reservations.
I made a ticker. That's a serious commitment in my book!:rotfl2:

Missout-The Disney website is just crazy. :crazy2: What are they thinking with having such an unreliable site? Maybe one of these years they will totally fix it.

We have three breakfasts and two lunches, but one dinner. :confused3 What the? I think I need to add at least one more. I'm looking at either Cape May or Kona.

I could do 5 nights at POR but I want to stay at AoA too lol.
I would probably ditch POR this time around. I love it there, but the AOA LM room for your daughter will be time better spent. princess:

POLY???? Do tell!! :bitelip: We've done lots of late Augusts. While the North is still not in school yet, crowds were lighter. But now we notice a HUGE influx of people on the start of Free Dining. It is actually better to go just before Free Dining kicks in in August IMO. :)

Great Review if anyone is interested http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2013/04/28/full-review-the-new-boardwalk-bakery-in-walt-disney-world/
Thanks!!! Tell Bob to just chant "Dole Whip" and all will be o-kaaaaaaaay! pixiedust: I like your first day plan. It feels so relaxing. What is the actual date of your arrival.

I posted my suite pics over on the Yacht Club Deluxe Rooms and Suites Thread. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3056013&page=2

As I'm sure is no surprise to anyone here, I'm already pulling back from the idea of offsite. I want my YC. I want to price out a Poly CL/YC CL spit. Probably 3 and 5. Stoopid magical system upgrades. I toyed with dropping CL but DH will hear none of that. He is more of a princess than I am!
That Presidential Suite is AMAZING!!! I am so happy for your opportunity to stay there. :cool1: Poly/YC CL is a killer split!!! Two thumbs up! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Well, I was able to make the majority of reservations via the telephone. Got the coveted Be Our Guest dinner, along with a few of my other favorite restaurants.
Good for you Petey! :groom: Sorry it was such a drama to get there. :crazy2:

Promise promise promise to catchup this evening. Steven now has modified days at school which for the time being means he is only at at school for about 2 hours then does the rest of his work at home with me. Missing my RC family.
I hope this plan working out for Steven. You know just where to find RCers when you have the time. :goodvibes

Well that stinks. Maybe it's Disney's way of telling us to re-use the refillable mugs? :confused3
You are on a tear recently!!! :rotfl2:

I switched yesterday to CR CL, and DH is like...what about the BW and funnel cakes... Then he said he's not getting used to any idea since I will change.
Hmmmm, the man's got a point there... :scratchin ;) Well, CR CL is a wonderful choice for TODAY anyway. :cheer2:

Oh my!!! What a wacky situation with your ADRs. :scared: I agree it sometimes sure feels as if they want us to only call that dreaded (407) :upsidedow Great idea to start with :tink: CRT to really get into the first-day WDW magic! My DH want to do CRT next March so I can't wait to hear your review.

Such a nice commitment to make. ;) It sounds magical. ::MinnieMo

Good thing you know a good TA who can take care of this! :thumbsup2

Happy Birthday LuvLuvLuv!!! :cake:

I'm just too p**ped to pop. :faint:

Perfect time to sit down and catch up. :grouphug: In no particular order...

Welcome backs to our lovely I_Heart, MM and GG.

Happy Birthdays to MM's DD and Deena! :cheer2:

Wanted to say thank you for the "Happy Birthdays" to Miss M. I can't believe she's 6 already (and going on 16).

Pas: Please give HRH a huge high-five from me for being a brave cookie during her MRI, certainly braver than me! I hope the check-up for Bree yields nothing of concern... and the ear-tube op goes super smooth for DS. (If the ENT mentions he'll need ear plugs for swimming/baths/showers, the ones we use for Miss M are called Zoggs, by the way. Got them off none other than Amazon. They're kinda nifty since they're reusable.) MEGA congrats on the 4.0.... way to GO momma! :cheer2:

Melissa: I hope the modified schedule for Steven will help.

Jen: How'd the pancake brekkie go? I flippin' LOVE that granddad painted their fingernails. (Well, not the overly tired bit but how cool is he? ::yes:: ) 2 weeks is coming up FAAAAAAAAAAAAAST! :cheer2: Take me in your suitcase.

I_Heart: Ooooooh WOW! I had a peek through all of those pics. What a absolutely FABULOUS trip! And that industrial-sized glob of Pixie Dust which they dropped on you! pixiedust: Your celebration was just :lovestruc

MM: Yet ANOTHER grand trip. Looking forward to all of your new plans (and 1,000 changes of course). :rotfl:

Sheila: That sounds like a mighty nice first day plan! I love the turkey sandwich at CC's. Oh, and that link you posted to BW Bakery... holy SHMOLEY. I was trying not to drool all over myself. That is a HUGE improvement. Makes me wish we were over there a teensy-tiny bit (I won't think about SAB).

Wookie & Dani: Since you guys were chatting about melatonin, thought I'd chime in since I've been taking it for a couple of years now. I have to take a couple weeks off periodically so it'll work again... if that makes any sense. For me, it seems to stop working after an extended period of taking it at night, so I'll take a brief break from it and it works again. :confused3

Magic: Yeah, I'm going to just wing it for The Wave and GF Cafe. (Shame I didn't listen to my own ideas for the rest of the ADRs! The lure was too strong. :rolleyes2 )

GG: Awww, I love Seattle. Do you think she'll make the move?

Kook: You're now at your two favourite CLs, right? No changes now, okay? ::yes::

Ginny: A ticker? That IS a serious commitment. :lmao: Even if they went back to the old website... at least we all knew it worked. How'd the chili turn out? Yummmmm-o.

Koh: Oooooh, how exciting about the Minnie party! Yep, it's a funny thing about those balloons... even at 6, I think Miss M was more stoked about the balloons than a majority of her presents. :rotfl:

Petey: Glad you got your ressies. :thumbsup2

~~--------------------------~~

Hubbo took the day off yesterday so we could have some time to "decompress" after my mom and dad left. To relax, we wound up buying a bunch of topsoil, some mulch and a tree to plant. :upsidedow How's that for relaxing?

Okay experts, how does this sound for ADRs?

  • Day 1: Arrival Day! Artist Point at 7:45pm (our anniversary) ** Had to book this AGAIN due to the mysteriously vanishing ADR.
  • Day 2: First full day. 8:30am breakfast at CRT.
  • Day 3: Nada. Zip. Zilch. F&W, F&W, F&W
  • Day 4: Be Our Guest at 4:10pm (hubbo's birthday)
  • Day 5: Crying Day. Breakfast at Chef Mickey's.

We've never done CRT (because the kiddo isn't into princesses) or Chef Mickey's. We might end up cancelling Chef Mickey's. :confused3 Although, we thought that since we'd probably be in the lobby a few times, Miss M might get a hankering for trying it if she saw it.

Can you believe I've got sunburn already?! My ghostly-pale skin can't handle this bright sun. On a bad day, just having hopped outta bed, I could seriously work The Haunted Mansion with no make-up needed.

Pas-Thinking of you and your sweet kids!

Pas-Love the change! :cool1:Do you think a CR/Poly split is in the works?

Thanks Ginny  I think all the doctor's visits are all set, surgery is set. DH is off that day so he can get the kids off to school, and I'll take little man...however, I think he'll wind up at the Surgicenter to see DS..the plus is I know all the nurses at the center so I KNOW my baby boy is well taken care of, they took care of DS21 when he had his ankle surgery (he was 17) and he had an allergic reaction...they were on it! I've worked with them when we were on Labor & Delivery together :thumbsup2

As for CR, DH reminded me that we walked through and I wasn't "feeling" it. :headache:I asked where he wanted to stay....I got anywhere but GF :duck: Ugh...Polynesian??? The reply, whatever you want my love....has he forgotten who he's talking to....

This sounds lovely!!!:cloud9:

Cape May...buffet!! It's gotten less than stellar reviews lately though...

Hmmmm, the man's got a point there... :scratchin ;) Well, CR CL is a wonderful choice for TODAY anyway.
:rotfl:

He did say he will need ear plugs, thanks for the tip

HRH was so good, it was loud even with headphones, they gave her 3 chocolate bars when she was done. Even the neurologist said she was impressed. The girl is strong, when she sets her mind to do something....unfortunately it holds true for everything...so the 6 going on 16...yup 8 going on 30 for her :worried: So far, knock wood, no more headaches......My gut tells me there is something up with Bree, something not caught on tests just yet...I hope I am being paranoid but she shouldn't be having chest pain or shortness of breath at all. She is so excited to see her heart doctor. Bree loves her doctors...they are all female, and very very nice :goodvibes

Also as Magic mentioned all the Marriott timeshares are nice. I've stayed in them in San Diego, Palm Springs, Phoenix, Lake Tahoe, Park City and two different resorts in Orlando. The Grannies will be trying out another one in December.
GG, I will need to tap into your expertise for the "west of the Mississippi" Marriotts. Sounds like you've been to some really cool ones. :cool1: :cool1: Also your Northwest experience will be invaluable, too, if I may inquire. Victoria Island beckons me, too. :lovestruc

Is Deena celebrating at our favorite place - WDW?

Melissa: How do you feel about DS's new school schedule?

Miss 4.0: Doesn't DH know not to tell you to book whatever you want (except GF)? Now you're going to go and book RPC, aren't you?:rotfl:

MAGIC: Yes, Paul Blart has a way with words, doesn't he? Of course, so did John Cheever and Susan's father;)

Gwynne: How are you feeling?

 to everyone else and lurkers, too (we know you're out there).

I'm just too p**ped to pop. :faint:

P**ped to pop??? Are you PEEPED? Are you PSUPED? Maybe you're PLUPED:confused3

If I don't call for BLT availability then I won't be changing, right?

My DD would envy your effortless ability to be mistaken for a HM CM - we love HM. Which is ironic because DD was scared to death of the ride up until her, umm, tween years:rolleyes1

Well, I think BoG will be much fun and you'll be the first in for dinner! But, I think you need to stay longer - do you only have 3 full days? What would be your CM substitute? Can you add days and therefore more ADRs? We LOVE Tokyo Dining and your DD can eat out of a monorail!! (Monorail not included...)

Victoria is absolutely gorgeous!! I was there when I was little, but I'd love to go again now when I'd really appreciate it.
