We stayed at POFQ in December 2011 and walked through/ate at Riverside. I think if you're looking for something more pastoral and laid back, go with Riverside and request a building that's not horribly far away from the main building. The main complaint I hear about Riverside is how spread out it is. This is why we picked POFQ. It was fairly compact and had a different vibe; a little more upbeat and French Quarter-esque- fittingly!- but along with that comes more "urban" feeling grounds- still nice, though. Bus service from POFQ was great. Not sure how it differs in reality from Riverside, but they always picked us up before the Riverside people. I don't think you can really go wrong with either.
