Just talked to our agent at Fidelity and the owner has accepted our offer for OKW so now the real wait begins, we should have the contract in a day or two and then will get it right back to them.
The ROFR is gonna make me climb the walls ;) as I don't wait well.

Wish us luck

I'm a week into my wait for a BLT 160 pt contract. I didn't think my DW cared as much but yesterday she looked at me after seeing a commercial on tv and said, "Has it really only been a few days? Make it go faster."

I'd be curious to know how it works inside the Disney office (besides the dartboard concept) and why it takes a month. Surely, someone could have written an algorithm for Disney that says, "This resort for V UY, X number of points at Y price per point means we'll take it, all others pass." I mean, one would think then all they'd have to do is enter those details in and you'd know within a few minutes. Give it a few days processing time and I can't see why it takes more than 2 weeks. Argggh.

It is so easy to get caught up in it. We start out each time calm as we don't need points now but then you agree on a contract and there are points expiring soon or banked needing used so you start to think what can I do with these points then it becomes urgent and you get carried away

Can I ask what amount they accepted. Points and price.

We just made an offer for 240 points for $60 a point. Has all 2012 and 2013 points. Would love to know where to compare to others making OKW offers.

I hope Fidelity does get your contract to you in a day or two but it may take them longer.
My offer was accepted by the seller on April 4th but I didn't received the contract from Fidelity until April 10th.

Good Luck!

Yea they have been good so far but I have been copying their sales manager with some off correspondence not sure if that has made a difference or not

I know waiting is hard. I'm on day 12 myself.....

I hope you have better luck with your contract through Fidelity than I did. From seller accepting my offer til my contract went to Disney for ROFR was 19 days. I am at day 5 and I am very happy with the contract assuming it gets waived through, but I had to learn to be patient, which is not one of my strenghts

WOW!
I should be really impressed with Shontell then (not fidelity)... I think it took 1 day from when escrow was received to submission to DVC ! :lovestruc
32 days total (including weekends) from when I overnighted my deposit to ROFR being waived.

OP,
Good luck on your ROFR!

I am using Shontell right now too. We made offer last Thur and Fri morning I had the contract waiting in my e-mail (I printed it off, signed and overnighted with my escrow check and figure we went off to ROFR Saturday or yesterday). She has been super responsive and quick.

OP- I'm in the wait with you. Here's to a quick and successful ROFR wait.

I totally agree, especially after days and days of trying to get someone from Fidelity to answer my call. She is totally awesome.

I just wish she has more contracts that matches our search :rolleyes1

I have also had a great experience with Shontell. We had our contract within 2 hours of making our offer. We passed ROFR 28 days after making offer. Our first DVC purchase & it has been a wonderful experience!

Update on the process for us

We made our offer late on Thursday the 18th was told on Friday that owner was out of town until Saturday. .
Got email first thing on Monday morning that the offer was accepted. Got the contract today ( was told they needed to get update from disney for the accurate point count.) will send back the contract on monday for the next part of the process. Been happy with the service I have received. Would I like weekend service? Yes but I personally applaud them for not making the dollar $ the most important thing. I was raised in the restaurant business and know all to much about working every weekend and when I was young my patents always working weekends as in that industry there really isn't a choice. Do I like to wait nope I have wicked home issues do no. But I do think it is great that the folks that work there get to enjoy family/church and a personal life.

We had an offer in Apr 19, and expect it to be next Wednesday before our contract is to us. Definitely need patience when dealing with fidelity. They keep forgetting to check their email for information we are waiting on.
We did a OKW with load 2012 and 2013 points for $56.

You just got the preliminary questionnaire correct asking if you are married how you want it titled ect....? We got our questionnaire within 2 days of having our offer excepted but then it took 10 days before the contract arrived and another 5 days before it was sent ROFR! Good luckn - not too speedy for us. If we pass we will have points expiring in Sept that I will need to try to rent getting a little nervous - thats if we pass!

What's the sales manager email to copy in....maybe that does help.

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Sales managers name is
Allen Schweinberg

If u are still getting poor service I would call him and nicely explain your concerns
