Official 2013 Disneyland Dumbo Double Dare, Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k Thread!

Where on their site did you find that? I was trying to add the training via their link to my phone schedule!

It's not posted on the site just yet. It was found using back door channels. It's still not "pretty" and there are some issues with editing (like when he's talking about maintaining a certain speed for a 7 hr cut off time--- clearly he means for a marathon, not for the half!)

I have to go Mon/Wed for my runs since I have Hula on Thursdays (all the squatting is awful if I had run earlier that day!) so I am a little worried about what will happen in the later weeks once we are doing sat/sun/then I do Mon! Maybe trying TUes& Wed would be better ugh! WWYD? I also started a week ago and did my 3 miler on Sat because I know we won't be able to run one weekend in July since we have family staying with us. Not light or fast yet but I AM ON MY WAY! :thumbsup2

I'm kind of nervous actually. My calf has been misbehaving to the point where I had to call off my Saturday run. I've been introduced to the foam roller and it doesn't hurt at all outside of running. But I'm still worried about getting a pull again tonight.

It doesn't help that my brother-in-law just got sidelined by his doc for 6 weeks due to impending stress fracture. :( He's much MUCH lighter and faster than I am so it's spooking me out.
 
Does anyone know if it is is possible to Transfer from my HM to the Dumbo? I know it is sold out but I want to make sure I've exhausted every possible source to make this happen.

I don't think so. You can only transfer to the next year, but the same race. For dumbo, you would have had to registered for the specific event. Rundisney also stated that even if you registered for the 10k and half separately, you wouldn't get the dumbo medal unless you registered for the dumbo event.

That isn't true. I deferred my WDW Marathon from this January to this fall's Wine and Dine Half Marathon. (I had choices for several of the races.)

That said, I'm not sure how deferrals would work to the DDD - I think I remember that it said that you can't defer into sold out races.

My apologies. I had read in another thread that you could only defer it to the same race the following year. Thank you for correcting me! :)

I often have to shuffle training days and running coach says it is okay ! What is Important is at least a couple maintenance runs during the week and a long run on the weekends with a day of rest after the long run. And think about what your goal is...do you want to PR the race or have the goal of just finishing ? I love doing my hula DVD ....great leg workout for cross training.

Once an event is sold out, runDisney won't allow any transfers or deferrals into the event.
