I'm confused again:( how are they already booked if I was able to get reservations there today?

Sorry if I sound dumb! Trying to fiqure out how to work this "thread" business! Lol

Not booked completely, but folks have said that many of the dates in September were. But just having one is no guarantee, as only a handful (if any) are likely to be included.

Listen to the 411...she is wise!!!

In all seriousness, even now those LM rooms are completely booked for many nights in September. So either way, they are few and far between.

Definitely few and far between :-)

They may very well include those LM rooms in the upcoming FD promo, but I think they will be very limited. Ill be anxious to see if anyone here on the Dis lucks out with FD on those rooms and wish Good Luck to all who are hoping for it :-)

Again, will be happy to change/upgrade to whatever I have to do when the time comes!

Don't guess I completely understand all of this talk and probably should have waited before booking the room but was just so stinking excited about coming back to the Disney!!

Will wait to see what happens. Will have back up resorts ready!

OK, then should I make reservations today, then call in to change these reservations to FD when they open up to the public?

Each resort is only allotted so many FD rooms/codes per promo. For example, if AOA has 100 standard rooms available, and if you are the 101st person to call to book a FD stay or add a FD code to your existing reservation at AOA, they would let you know that AOA was "sold out" of standard FD rooms. You would then either have the option of looking at another room category at that resort or for availability at another resort. Most of the time if you call on the first day or two of a FD promo you shouldn't have a problem getting your first choice of room category or resort, but most people who follow these types of discounts tend to believe those LM rooms will be very limited due to their very high demand and occupancy rate since they opened last year.

There's not much of a benefit either way. You'll still have to call back and wait on hold and if the rooms for free dining sell out, then you won't be able to add it.

Always have a back-up resort or two, especially if you're looking at a popular one like AOA.

Also, remember the greatest rule of all...things change, and no matter what some folks may say, Disney will do what they want and nothing is concrete until they make it official.

It makes absolutely no difference, booking today won't "save" you a FD room come May 9th. Might save you a little time on the phone that morning, but that's it.

Yea!! Happy for you! I still don't understand all this, but you catch on quickly. And hey, follow your heart! I book my first choice resort, but I still always have back up plans. Hopefully all will work out. My TA laughed when I gave her 6 backup plans when I heard AoA Finding Nemo was so popular. She still thinks we will be able to get a suite there, just may be not Nemo.

Ahhhhhh, now I understand!! Thanks!!

Like I said, still trying to fiqure this "thread" thing out! Will def be calling as soon as offer comes up!

Please...what can I help you with? I want everyone to understand so we can all become old pros at this...let's talk about it.

You all are wonderful and helpful. I am still not always sure of some of the abbreviations-what they mean. I did find the key, so that has helped. And I am always afraid of abbreviating incorrectly. And sometimes I do not abbreviate because of newbies to Disney in general, not just Dis, so they know what I am referring to. I do not want to commit a forum faux pas.;)

I guess the more time spent working with it the better we will get!

Crossing my fingers for us all!

Thanks again! No TA....just me so its a little overwhelming at times!

Oh no worries, I hate the abbreviations when they're long. I only do ones like LM = Little Mermaid, or AOA = Art of Animation. I don't like the long ones like MNSSHP...ahhhhhh!!!!

I did not have a TA for our first trip and that was before FD even existed, so I can't imagine how crazy this all is for you. Don't be afraid to ask ?????'s:goodvibes

So when's everyone planning to go? I'm planning on September 6-14 and my dining reservations have already been made.

We are planning on going September 14-22 hopefully getting FD in a LM room.
If that does not work out we will take a day off our ressie and go Sept 14-21 and probably stay at POR.
All my dining ressies are set :)
