Taking out CM and putting in BoG. But BoG is booked solid that night.

I've seen a lot of disappoint posts on threads about not getting into BOG, I would try calling to see if anything is available:confused3, since the site has been updated and BOG is new there could be some kind of glitch or something:confused3, it could really be booked solid but it's worth a shot, and if it is all booked up try back every few days to see if anyone cancelled out:confused3

I called right when it opened, because 180+10 didn't work on Internet, and I could only get 6:50. There may still be a chance. Once, we got CRT for breakfast 2 days out while we were at a McDonald's eating breakfast on the drive down there. Good luck. I just cannot recommend lunch/dinner food at CM, but at least it won't be dark and you'll be a short walk over when done to get into MNSSHP.

I think I'll keep my eyes open. We really want to do CM but everyone is saying they are best at breakfast. I think I might just book it for our last day at MK and change it if need be.

Monster University rail?

It is the latest wrapped monorail, promoting the movie Monster University, and it is operating currently, so it will definitely be running when you are there:cool1:, I have seen a pic and it looks pretty cool, although I do not know what line it is running on:confused3

You need to go through the old site and try booking for a party of an even number first. :confused3 Don't ask, this is what works. Well the reason for the second part is because they have a limited number of 5 seat tables and while they make more, after their initial number of 5-seat tables, they don't book anymore. So far, it seems BOG is doing the same for all odd numbered seating. Here's some pixie dustpixiedust:

For the record, I like CM's dinner best:thumbsup2 I am booking it for my Nov trip.

Oh, it's a movie, I guess I have to look it up. I hope the Avengers one is still there. . . I will see in less than 2 weeks:cool1:

Thanks, that explains a lot. Do you have the URL for the old site? pixiedust:

I will not CM anymore, it not that it is bad there or anything, but the last time we went I felt we were robbed:rolleyes1, we had a 5pm 1st seating got there early and were 1st in line, now they usually do a opening where the 1st guests get escorted in by Mickey and walk down a path with all the CM's of the restaurant on both sides of you, well somehow the people behind us got to be the 1st in, after asking a few CM's how it worked and finding out that we should have really been the 1st in, we will not go there anymore:mad:

:sad1: Oh, I am sorry about that. I can understand how upsetting that would be with a child and all. CM is a family tradition and was the only buffet I always enjoyed, other than CP breakfast. Perhaps one day you will give them a second chance :goodvibes

Good to know. I called about moving BoG, but no luck. I'm not terribly disappointed, but I wanted BoG before the MNSSHP started. I'm sure we will still enjoy it somehow.

That happened to us as well. We were there first for the breakfast ADR. I just figured it was either the picture thing or whoever's name was first in the book.

Currently planning for October 2014. Yes, I know that is 18 months from now, hence the commando thing. My last WDW trip was in November of 2011. Last year I went to DLR and CA (also US Hollywood). Maximizing my time for each park day saves money. I can see and do everything I want without purchasing another day in the park.

It's never too soon to plan a trip to WDW:thumbsup2 Keep us posted on all the plans.

Ok Commander, I need your help, I plan on going to MVMCP for the first time this year. I need a few tips. I want to go on the first night 11/8 as that is our arrival day and I plan on getting an early flight. I had originally planned on going to Boma for dinner, but it does not open until 5 and we are already going to Jiko and Sanaa later on the vacation. I wanted to know if you thought this was a good idea as I really really want to go to Boma for dinner? Also, does the first night usually sell out within the first month? How would you tour? Bearing in mind I do want to see the fireworks but do not necessarily need to see the characters, maybe a few, idk. Also, I will be doing the dessert party but was saving it the last night, but do you think, due to crowds, that I should book it for the first night as well? Any other tips you have, or anyone else, are welcomed :goodvibes TIA

I know the 1st night MVMCP sold out last year but I don't know how fast they sold:confused3

I would not recommend dinner at Bomas if you are going to MVMCP afterwards,IMO you will run into a time issue and run into a massive crowd, when we did MVMCP last year MK was very hectic from 6-about 7:30 with people leaving the park, I would suggest to be at MK no later then 6 and dig in deep, maybe get in a line for a M&G that will be a popular one and be a step ahead of the crowd:confused3, If you can get a late lunch at one of the resorts on the Monorail line or somewhere in MK, or if you are doing a park earlier that day

I'm not positive but I don't think they do the Dessert party during MVMCP nights:confused3

One thing I wouldn't do is get on line for cookies and hot chocolate (they are not that good) plus you waste valuable time in line::yes::

Other then that it's all up to your preference, but remember you are spending extra money for that 5hrs, all the rides will still be there the next day, but the special M&G's, shows etc, will only be there on a MVMCP night, it would be wise to see as many of them as you can, otherwise it would be like throwing money away:rolleyes1

Thanks ok I will switch something around. Since it is our free day and not in addition to our park ticket days, I'm ok with using the extra time to ride in MK. I do want to see the parades, fireworks and a few characters so I will make that priority!
