Will be at UO just before the 4th of July.

How far in advance is early entry for hotel guests, and how much before that do you suggest arriving at the gate?

How does it work for Harry Potter? Do people run at Early Entry?

TIA!

early entry for onsite park guests will be one hour before the official park opening.

check the UO calendar for park hours.

people do not run at early entry to parry hotter.
TM's are in that area and do not allow it.

it varies on how soon peeps line up at the entrance for EE.

In my experience, they open the gates 15 minutes earlier than announced. In the summer, I'd be there at least half an hour early. So that would be an hour and a half before opening time for regular guests.

Ok, one person says one hour, another says 15 minutes.

Do I have any other bidders?

Alex, i would like to buy a vowel............

if i were going on the 4th of july, i would be in line at that entrance gate 45 minutes in advance.

if it were a few days prior to the 4th, about 30 minutes in advance.

the longer you wait to get in that line, the more peeps will be ahead of you.

"Alex, i would like to buy a vowel............"

I think you'll need to put that in the form of a question. Alex is on that 'other' game show.

Thanks for your advice.
Where does Early Entry line up to IOA and US compared to the other people showing up early without EE?

Thanks for your advice. 30 minutes sounds perfect for before the 4th of July.

Have we indeed established Early Entry is only 15 minutes before? Where does early Entry line up to IOA and US compared to the other people showing up early - in theory folsk without EE are arriving one hour in advance?

I think you might be confused. Two different things. They open the gates to resort guests one hour before OFFICIAL opening time. When we were there in October, they opened the gates for resort guests 15 minutes before that one hour early time (park opened at 9, we were supposed to be in at 8 but they opened up the gates at 7:45)

Sorry I wasn't more clear. Early admission is always one hour earlier than normal admission. However, they usually open the gates 15 minutes even earlier than that. So, if early admission is to start at 7 am, they usually open the gates at 6:45.

Follow mac's advice and get there at 6 am for the 4th of July weekend and at 6:15 for later July dates.

Early admission lines up to the left at the gates. There aren't very many non-early admission people lining up at this time.

If you book a package at universalorlando.com that includes offsite partner hotel and tickets, is the early entry feature good every day you go or is it one use only?

It is good for each morning you use the tickets you purchased with the package.

During the really busy Spring Break week this year, EE was at 7 AM but they were opening up the gates at 6:30 AM! :)

That's very rare though... only on the busiest of days!

Thank you. That is great news!
And I have been reading ALOT on here and thank you for all the advice you give. I think you and a few others have answered many of my questions:).

We're always glad to help!

When you get your park tickets from the kiosks at the parks, there will be a code on them. This code is what tells the gate person that you have the early admission privilege.

Now, I'm confused. We have already bought our tickets from UT. I was under the impression that when we checked into RPR that we get a separate pass with our picture on it for FOTL & I assumed early entry. Am I right?

That response was for Belle & Ariel who had purchased an OFF SITE package. Off-site packages are completely different than staying ON SITE.

Threads generally turn into a mish mosh of different information that can be tough to follow. Sorry for the confusion.

For anyone staying ON SITE, they will get a separate pass with their picture on it to use as their unlimited express pass and early entry ID that is not linked to their park ticket in any way.
