September/October 2013 check in

Phew!!

Fingers crossed for that night
:thumbsup2 thanks would make things a lot easier :)

To be sure; but we can all do without the Mickey Fun Wheel of Death moments!

Glad there was an update from the hotel. Hope the last night works out for you.
:rotfl2: maybe I just needed a heart starter today!
It's the 3rd night it would probably be easier if it was the last night it's a Friday so hopefully they will change their plans ;)

Hi everyone,

It's been ages since I've popped in here been so busy trying to plan our 6 week USA trip, do uni full time, and a busy school mum, I don't even have time to read through the 25 pages I'm behind.

Anyway quick question.

Do you think Disneyland, Disney world and a Disney cruise is too much in one trip? We are a party of 2 adults (32 and active 61) and 1 child (will be 6).

The bulk of our trip is in Orlando but due to now having to change our plans due to a massive budget blow out we are thinking about doing 3 days at Disneyland so we can see Cars land?

Are we crazy?

What a silly question!!!!!!

Of course it's not and of course you're not (and I'm not only saying that because we're doing WDW, a Disney cruise and Disneyland too :rolleyes1)

Us too because CarsLand hadn't opened when we left in January '12 so we're going home via DLR :cool1:

Alcatraz is 2 - 3 hours for me. If this is what you want to do and to maximise time, perhaps you could look at the twilight tour through for the night before? That would leave you with most of the next day to see other things in SF. You could fly to either LAX or SNA from SFO.

We would have spent a good 4 hours at Alcatraz I think. We did the audio tour and watched the movie at the start then once the audio tour was over we wandered back around outside and just soaked in the atmosphere.

:) thanks Princess
:rolleyes1 swings and roundabouts as Australian Karen would say I just had an email from them saying sorry about the confusion but we were able to put you in the correct room :)
Just need pixiedust:for that 1 night now ;)

oh how true I am....:rotfl:

glad it all worked out...

138 days to go:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Wonder if they are going to have %off? I'm waiting for that for my aunt and cousins as they are going to WDW.

I'm going to be at DL so don't need the FD watch for myself.

I thought WDW had already announced their %discount off rack rates? The discounts are currently available through to August sometime. Are your family travelling in September?

Free dining rumour for September
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3101228

We miss out by a few days, so hoping the dates get extended.

I have just now noticed this free-dining rumor. The Dining Plan Thread is going crazy with talk of the free dining, so I'm guessing that this Danny guy must be pretty reliable.

It doesn't benefit me as not only do my dates fall outside this, but I'm not eligible for free dining.
However, I do expect ADRs over my dates to suddenly become much harder to grab. People beginning their holiday on or just before Sep 25th will potentially be eligible for free dining up to 2 weeks after this and I've heard that free-dining makes the restaurants much busier.

So I think if anyone hasn't secured their September and early October ADRs yet, now would be a good time to do it.

I booked all of mine back at Easter, but I've rung Disney two more times since then to make changes and one addition. There are so many finer details I didn't previously think about, such as times for the Eat to the Beat concerts, the times the band plays at Biergarten, or even getting to restaurants at opening to try and get good seats.

I don't know if I should consider myself an effective planner, or just plain obsessed.

FD doesn't impact me either; but I agree with Wanderlust. Gonna be harder to get ADRs for that period now.

Oh she flirts, kissy kissy Air NZ had a bust up over costs.

Fickle I say. :rofl

We will cross the Pacific with Qantas together. Separate planes. Can you imagine the poor crew if we travelled together.

Wouldn't that be a hoot.....:rotfl2:....but we love love love top deck exit row on qantas for $3000 less than my missy missy air New Zealand PE......with that extra moola I could afford to do the other cruise......

Now I have just changed my 2 nights at wlv to a studio at boardwalk...save the hassle of transferring resorts..we'll just go from a 1 bed at boardwalk to a studio pool view...easy peasy.........panic!!!!!!!

They look great. It makes sense having so many Epcot ADRs given that you will be a hop, step and a jump from the back gate of Epcot.
I'm so excited about my 5 nights at the BWV for that exact reason. Food, glorious food ...

Nice looking ADRs.

That's the benefit of the Epcot resorts.....proximity to all those fabulous restaurants at the World Showcase; and Food and Wine booths. :thumbsup2
