This time next week we will be having our first night at the DLH! the best part is that my 2 girls still don't know but think we're going to a Caravan in France with our friends who are following us in their car! They also don't know that their aunt and uncle and cousin will be there!

The plan is.......we wave at 'Mickey Mouse Land' because we are driving past it. They will go to their hotel and we'll go to ours. We'll secretly check in (pretend to need toilet) and then phone our friends who've decided to 'go to the gate to see if they can see Mickey!' When we're at the gate we'll tell them the truth by giving them their tickets to go in!

Oh, it's at that point that my 4 year old cries as she's not going to a caravan!!!! :worship:

Aw sooooooooooooooo exciting :dance3: have to admire folks who manage to keep the holiday a secret.....I am bursting to tell the minute I start planning lol

Hope you have an amazing time at the DLH!!!

such a great plan!!! cannot wait to hear how it all went... have a great time pixiedust:

Thats a fab plan :yay:
So exciting! You should film your 4y.o's reaction! Hope you have a ball

I am the WORST person at planning a surprise but have got round this by whispering in her ear when she's asleep or telling my 2 year old as she won't get what I'm talking about!!!!

Thats a fab plan :yay:

I have planned to pose her and her friend Josh for a photo in front of the railings but really have the camera on video and record the reactions. Fingers crossed it works!

Great plan :cool1: I hooe your dd cooes with the excitement well :lmao:
We have a touring caravan which we love as much as disney. 3 weeks until we go but dd4 said last week she doesnt want to go to disney she wants to go away in the caravan and do a treasure hunt in the forest........... :rotfl2:
Keep us informed about the big reveal :goodvibes

sounds so exciting, well done for keeping it a secret

we go to the magic in 40 days and my kids dont know as yet, they know we are going sometime and that we have to save really hard to go! planning on telling them when they have 5sleeps left to go to let them have some excitement before we go, dont think i could keep il quiet any longer lol

This is so funny - we ARE going to a caravan and driving past! Not sure if the kids will twig we're going to Disney but Eowyn is asking if we are going to France, can we go to Disney (she is getting wise to us) *haha*. We reckon Kacee will recognise the site and be confused as its associated with Disney to him......but we're not telling them because we will never get any sleep in the next month! Eldest son knows and has his own Euros, and youngest one will suddenly realise he has got to queue to meet the Princesses with me and do a bolt LOL!
Such fun these surprises! Though deep down I feel a little sad as I'd love them to get excited before like I am!!

Sounds like a fabulous trip and well done on keeping the secret for so long :thumbsup2

When we took my nephew last year, his first trip for his 5th birthday, he didn't know we were going, until we sat on the plane and the captain said ".......i'd like to welcome you onboard this Easyjet flight to Paris........." at which point Jack who was sat next to me jumped up and shouted down the plane "mum, dad we're going to paris, disneyland's in paris !!!" and then the little girl in front of us turned around and said "I'm going to disneyland paris, it's my birthday !" so the cat was out of the bag really.

I still can't believe he was
a) listening to the pilot
b) could understand what he was saying :)

Have a great time, hope the pm messages helped and please keep 'our room' spotless and clean for when we go in June. ;)
