Coronado Springs Resort - New Unofficial FAQ Thread - November 2012

What is the laundry situation at Coronado Springs? My fiance and I will be staying at CS for about a week in June for our honeymoon before heading down to Captiva Island for a few days. It would be nice to start the second leg of our trip with clean clothes!

Also, we have 9 pm reservations at Narcoosee's on our last night. Is driving our best bet? We're thinking using the bus to get to MK and then heading on to GF is going to be too cumbersome. Plus, by the time we get out of Narcoosee's, there's a chance the busses may be done running.

There is a laundry room located by each of the 3 quiet pools. We typically stay for 2 weeks so we have used the laundry many times. They work ok, dryers are a little slow.

I would take the bus to MK and ride the monorail over to GF and then take a cab on the way back. There will be cabs waiting outside the GF lobby.

If you have a car, I would drive (assuming you will be coming from CSR and not a park). We always drive to ADRs at resorts - it saves time and is more convenient. If you do not have a car, then bus to MK, monorail to GF, then a cab home to CSR.

I would not take the monorail from MK to GF - I would take the boat launch. It's the first stop and will be a lot faster than going MK to CR to TTC to Poly, then GF.

I did laundry while in the Cabanas section last April. Worked great for me!! $2 wash and $2 dry. Laundry rooms nice and clean ... vending machine for soap and vending machine for sodas and treats. Like the PP noted - right near the quiet pool.

At Cabanas quiet pool, the laundry room is in the far right of this building.

Hello :)
We're just booking to stay at CSR for the first time, so excited!
Mind is boggling with all the sections/buildings/bus stop options though :rotfl2:
Here's a little list of our preferences, any advice on where would be good to request?:

-Standard (as in, not paying for preferred room) room
- We're two adults, able to walk no problem so that's not a worry
- If possible we'd like quite a quiet area
- we're not very worried about view (we're hardly in the room but to sleep)
- Near a quiet pool would be nice as we like a quick swim in the evening
- Not bothered about proximity to Pepper Market etc. We eat bfast in the room and then eat at the parks/other resorts anyway

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have :thumbsup2

You're certainly easy to please! :goodvibes Ranchos are the most remote and tend to be the quietest since they are requested least often. There is a quiet pool next to ranchos 7B.

All the sections have their own bus stop, quiet pool and laundry. If you are not concerned about proximity to the main building or the Dig Site, I would just request a quiet location instead of requesting an area. Even if you are placed in the most remote location, you might have noisy neighbors. If you are not happy with your room, go to the front desk and ask to be moved (even if it is the next day). The front desk CMs are very accommodating. Calling the front desk sends your call to a call center, so I would walk to the front desk if you need a different location.

CSR tends to be a quiet resort anyway. Because there are several different buildings, you usually only have people walking by your room if they are staying in that building. It is not like the resorts with interior hallways, where people run past your room on the way down the hall, to the lobby, etc.

Enjoy your stay!

We are going to Hoop De Doo review at WL. Whats the best way to get there from CSR?

If you want to use Disney transportation, take the bus to MK then the boat to Fort Wilderness (HDDR is at Fort Wilderness, not Wilderness Lodge :goodvibes ). Allow at least an hour for transport, because you will have to take an internal bus at Ft. Wilderness to get to Pioneer Hall.

Alternatively, you can take a cab to Ft. Wilderness and get on the internal bus.

If you are coming from a park instead of from CSR, get on the bus to Ft. Wilderness.

After the show, there are usually buses that run directly to the resorts (at least for the later shows).

First, the HDDR is not at WL. It's at FW. We stayed at CSR and went to HDDR last April. (It was all wonderful!) Anyway, we took the bus to MK then got on the boat. It was way fun!!! :thumbsup2 We rode the bus back to CSR though.

This CM tried to convince all of us taking the boat over to the HDDR to get him 3 pieces of the fried chicken since it was soooo good. :lmao:

Thank you very much for your help :)
Think we'll take you're advice and just explain at check in that we'd just like somewhere quiet, and near a quiet pool. Much easier than trying to work out all the room/building numbers :rotfl:
Thanks again, I'm so super excited to be staying at CSR, it looks amazing!

You can call Disney reservations or your travel agent and make your request now, but you can also ask at check-in. Enjoy your trip!

We are planning a trip to CSR Sept 25-Oct 1 (free dining, woot!

A few questions:

(Arg!! Phone messed up...questions below!!)

We are planning a trip to CSR Sept 25-Oct 1(free dining, Woot Woot!!). Finalizing plans before we make our reservations and have a few questions--I know the info is out there, I just haven't found it. :)

Does CSR have free WiFi?

Anyone shipped USPS to the resort lately? I wonder when that loophole will close...

Has anyone had luck with getting a good deal on a business class upgrade at check in? It looks like about $50/night for our family, but I wonder if a better deal might be available if we wait and inquire at check in how much it would be. (Does the CM at the front desk have any sway when it comes to that?)

Thanks for your help!!

only question i know the answer to is the wifi. apparantly all the resorts have free wifi now. someone correct me if I'm mistaken

There is a sticky at the top of the board re: wi-fi. All the resorts have had it since last summer.
