"I'M STUCK IN DISNEY!!!!!!!!" A Delightfully Unliveable TR ~ NEW TR 9/27!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man if they had auditions that were JUST for the HM dancers I'd fly down there in a heartbeat. I'm going to a dance audition for shows in MVMCP in June so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It would be a dream job to dance in Disney. I'm not getting my hopes up but it would be beyond words. *Sigh*

Hi Lia,

We just got caught up on your last couple of updates, awesome stuff as always! It was very exciting to hear about your MVMCP audition, THAT WOULD BE SO GREAT!!!

Can't wait to read the upcoming MNSSHP updates. We were following your tweets during that first party and knew about the Eugene let down, but the fact that Lee-Anne hit her wall that same night must have been hard to handle. Sometimes it really does take a fellow hardcore WDW fan to be able to hit the parks the same way that us "junkies" do.

So excited to follow your next trip on Twitter, in only 18 DAYS!!

Rob and Jenn

omg, that cupcake looks so yummy! I really want to try that. I had the special Elvis Reese's cup a few years ago that had banana, peanut butter and chocolate together and it was so good. It was a limited time only thing, though. I bet the cupcake is even better.

I already follow you on twitter. My username is the same as the DIS.

So exciting that you will be at Disney soon! Sounds like you have a great trip planned.

First of all, I follow you on twitter and I enjoy reading your tweets!
Second, you talking about how Disney doesn't just last a week, it lasts a lifetime paragraph is perfect!! So true!! :goodvibes
And lastly, this TR has me trying to talk my family into going to Disney in Oct instead of Jan. I have always wanted to go in the fall but your report gave me the extra push. I want/NEED to go to that party and have always wanted to see the fall decorations!!

Phew, being away for 10 days really put me behind but no worries, I am all caught up! To tell the truth, I skipped your Boo to You and Hallowishes update because I get to see it in September! I went to Disney in the fall of 2010 but didn't go to a MNSSHP because? I'm an idiot? Because I thought the party would be too similar to the Christmas party, which I had just done the previous December? Who knows... But I'll fix that this year!

So sad about Eugene! He's my most favorite Disney prince and I love Rapunzel and pascal and Maximus and and and. I probably would have cried, too! Here's hoping you get to see him the other two nights, although I think I remember from twitter that you did...:confused3

And bummer about LeeAnne. It's hard when the people you are with hit a wall when you still have plenty of go go go left!

Now comes the part I've been waiting for... #stuckinDisney2012!

Aw man, i wish our trips overlapped in May!! We definitely need to run around in Disney and create shenanigans together!! You totally get disney, and thats what I love! I love how the dis can bring people together like that! Its incredible! Who knows, maybe Ill see ya at the MVMCP auditons! Oh my goodness i need to eat that cupcake! It is everything that is heaven!! Auper super excited to read about the rest of your trip!!

In regards to your note about twitter, well said. Truth be told, it just made me want to follow you MORE, lol, which I have now done. If you want to follow back or not, I take no offence either way (DISKid4Life). I don't tweet much anyway. Though next week I'll be LIVE@DISNEY, so it may get some use then.

I  the comment about Disney lasting a lifetime. Like seriously so true. It's not just a place, it's a feeling right down to your very soul. If it was just a place, none of us would go.

So excited for phase 2 of your trip, but also sad because I want to read it RIGHT NOW!
It would have been so great to read about the solo portion to get me revved for the coming week, but something to look forward to at least.

I can't believe I wasn't following this TR from the beginning. Ridiculous!! :worship:

The flailing chicken is Clara Cluck. She is one of the classic Disney Characters-appearing in the early cartoons along with Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle.

Thank you! I figured it was one of those characters. I remember Clarabelle pretty well but not the others. I'll have to watch some of those old classics again.

Rob and Jenn

Hi guys!!

Thank you! It would pretty much be the best thing EVER but yeah I'm not getting my hopes up! We'll see what happens. :)

Ahh, it was kind of hard to handle but everything works out when it comes to Disney which you will all read about very soon! :D

17 DAYS NOW!! AHHH!

omg, that cupcake looks so yummy! I really want to try that. I had the special Elvis Reese's cup a few years ago that had banana, peanut butter and chocolate together and it was so good. It was a limited time only thing, though. I bet the cupcake is even better.

Oooh that Reeses sounds SO good. I am really hoping the King Cupcake will be available at Pop this time!

AHH I know, 17 days! We have so many great plans, I can't even believe it!!

First of all, I follow you on twitter and I enjoy reading your tweets!
Second, you talking about how Disney doesn't just last a week, it lasts a lifetime paragraph is perfect!! So true!! :goodvibes

Oh man... definitely go in October instead of January. I mean, there is just no comparison! Disney is Disney, but the special events in October make it all the more magical.

Phew, being away for 10 days really put me behind but no worries, I am all caught up! To tell the truth, I skipped your Boo to You and Hallowishes update because I get to see it in September! I hope you had a great trip! Good call on skipping my party updates, everything will be fresh to you in September!!! Yay!!

Ahh I'm glad you understand. I love them all so much too and it was a very big disappointment. Le sigh.... you will see how it all works out when #StuckinDisney12 continues!!!

Aw man, i wish our trips overlapped in May!! We definitely need to run around in Disney and create shenanigans together!! You totally get disney, and thats what I love! I'm sure we'll be in Disney at the same time eventually! They're having a MVMCP up here so that's the one I'm going to, not the one in Disney sadly. I wish!

hahaha That's good! Thanks for following me. I'm excited to see your live from Disney tweets!

So true :goodvibes AHH 17 days for me!

You will read some of it before you go, I plan on updating in the next two days! I have to get this thing going before I leave!

I hate how people complain about how Disney is so expensive. Yes, I understand it is, but it’s WORTH IT and there is so much magic everywhere you go. Why don’t people get that?!

I really am craving a Disney chocolate croissant right now. They just taste better in Disney, of course.

UGH that cupcake looks delicious. Basically, you were eating all the major food groups that morning. I approve! Seriously, I don’t know what else is better than cupcakes and croissants. REALLY.

Ummm… THAT HAUNTED MANSION PUMPKIN. That is so cool. Now I have an idea for Halloween…

I really would love to do a solo trip one day. I would love to go at my own pace and do everything I wanted to do, which of course would be to eat food and take pictures and cry because DISNEY. That’s great you had some days to do whatever. AND I CANNOT WAIT TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR 2ND MNSSHP AND NEW FANTASYLAND.

I think I'm all caught up - your MNSSHP excitement has me even more pumped to go back this year!

I understand your disappointment over the lack of Eugene and not understanding why a CM can't talk to someone over a radio to get a schedule. My first MNSSHP I went as Belle in her blue dress and desperately wanted to meet Belle herself ... spent most of the night bouncing from one CM to another to another and no one could tell me anything or would make comments like, "well, you're right here, of course" it was cute the first couple times, then it was like - yeah, you're not helpful.

At least my second MNSSHP (also dressed as peasant Belle) I knew better than to get my hopes up. Didn't meet her that time either, but I went in not expecting to so it was much better!

I actually like that its a little pricier. When people have to work for something, they respect it more. It also helps keep out the rif raf.

Probably because if you haven't experienced the magic yourself you could see the prices and be put off. I feel so bad for people who never went as kids!

The answer is: nothing. Nothing is better than cupcakes and croissants.

Hopefully you will get to do a solo trip one day! It really is getting to see Disney in a whole new way. :-)

YAY! I hope you have a magical time at MNSSHP this year. Hopefully I will get to go as well.

That is so disappointing about never getting to meet Belle at your MNSSHPs. So annoying that no one was able to inform you on what the deal was. Ugh. Luckily you can definitely meet her during Enchanted Tales With Belle next time you go!

While I would not call people who can not afford Disney "riff raff", I do agree that working hard to make a trip happen makes it even more exciting. If I could just go at the drop of a hat, it wouldn't mean AS much.

OCTOBER 26, 2012
Day 6, Part 2 In Which The Queen of the Polynesian Checks Into All Star Movies

@babybritney: Lee-Anne is on the Magical Express!!! So sad. But.. The adventure must continue so off I goooooo! Woody and Buzz are waiting for me.

ALL STAR MOVIES HERE I COME!!!!!!!!

I had originally planned to just have Disney move my bags, as they are happy to offer this free service to resort hoppers like myself. I was going to take a bus to a park and then to All Star Movies, but I just wanted to have all my stuff with me and not have to wait for the bags to be delivered, so I just spent the 10 bucks or whatever it was so I could take a cab to ALL STAR MOVIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Luckily, I didn't even have to wait for a cab cause there was one just sitting there the while I was waiting with Lee-Anne! I was eyeballing it the whole time hoping no one would snatch it up. She said it was okay if I left but I wanted to wait with her and it all worked out cause the cab was still there when her Magical Express bus left.

I lugged all my crap over to the cab and asked if he was occupied. He said no, so I hopped in! I waved goodbye to my beloved Pop Century and off we drove to All Star Movies!

GAH. For the 093809238th time this trip I was out of my mind excited! I have wanted to stay at All Star Movies FOREVER. I tried to stay there for my split stay with Pop in 2008, but it was all booked up so I went with All Star Music, which I liked a lot.

As far as Values go, as much as I love Pop, I like the actual rooms at the All Stars much more. They just have better decor in my opinion, a bit more space, and I love the music & movies theme (haven't stayed at Sports).

The problem with All Stars is that they are SO EFFING FAR from everything except Animal Kingdom! If you have a car it's fine, but otherwise, look out for the longest travel times. This is why I did not stay at Movies until 2012. If you don't know already, I am obsessed with movies, so this is the perfect theme for me.

I requested a room in the Toy Story section because that is one of my all time favorite movies (along with the sequels. I actually can't think of any "Part 2" movie that so rivals the first as much as Toy Story 2). Not just Disney, out of all movies. So it REALLY meant a lot to me to stay there. I even avoided photos and information about the resort, so I really only had a distant memory of what it was going to look like. Needless to say, when I got there, I WAS BEYOND OVERWHELMED. I mean, if you have seen it you know what I am talking about. It's really really freaking awesome, but again I'm getting ahead of myself.

I was just so full of happiness and joy as I exited the cab, paid, tipped, and made my way down the red carpet and into the lobby! A bunch of CMs greeted me right away, both outside and inside. They all seemed so happy too. It was just a ball of happiness at All Star Movies that afternoon!

@babybritney: I love resort hopping. It's like hitting the refresh button on your vacation.

SO TRUE.

8663198629_2e58be48ce_z.jpg

I waited about 5-10 minutes to check in and crossed my fingers hard for a Toy Story room! The sections of Movies include Toy Story, Fantasia, 101 Dalmatians, The Love Bug, and Mighty Ducks. While I enjoy all of these, none of them have the same emotional connection as Toy Story to me so I was just really praying my request would work out!

"I requested a Toy Story room, so if it's possible I would really love to stay there please," I said.

The CM replied, "Oh yeah, you're in Toy Story, honey!" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY WISH CAME TRUE!!!! :D :D :D AHHH I was seriously freaking out! The CM was like "Oooh, you're excited, huh honey?" (Yes, she was the kind of sassy lady who calls everyone honey and I loved her).

She was SO nice. I can't even tell you how much she and one other lady helped me out when Hurricane Sandy hit and I got stuck there. They were so sweet and just a perfect example of what CMs should be. It was so great meeting them.

Once everything was set I headed around the bend, past the food court, and out the back doors. I instantly saw the Fantasia pool and again was hit with a burst of happiness!

I made a left and saw Toy Story stuff from a distance. I then realized that there was a GIANT DOOR blocking the section that said "ANDY'S ROOM"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. It's literally Andy's room. How silly of me to think Disney would build a resort with a Toy Story themed section. No no, they actually built Andy's Room.

I had tears in my eyes honestly. It was so great. But I had all my belongings in my hands so I headed up to the room before exploring.

@babybritney: I GOT THE ROOM I WANTED :D :D I'm literally singing Hakuna Matata at the top of my lungs right now. Ahhhh Disney. I love you forever.

As soon as I entered my room, I was just SO HAPPY that I started like jumping up and down and jumped on the bed and all kinds of craziness. It is so fun when you resort hop and everything feels new again. As much as I adore Pop, a change of scenery is just wonderful.

A towel Mickey was waiting for me on the bed! It's not Taylor Hanson, but it'll do.

8664296864_c2e0fb11e8_z.jpg

Like I said, I love the decor at the All Stars. How cute is this Mickey table?

8664296696_4eba1bd67e_z.jpg

Side story: That Ariel doll is a gift for my cousin Giana who is 9 (8 at the time of the trip). She is obsessed with the Little Mermaid and when I asked what she wanted from Disney, she said an Ariel doll. So I told her there were so many different kinds. Did she want a barbie, or a stuffed Ariel, or the little characters, etc etc? Her response was, "I want an American Girl doll sized Ariel." Sigh. I was just like, "I really don't think they make them that big but I will ask Ariel when I meet her and I'm sure we will come up with something!"

That very day, I was at Hollywood Studios and saw that Ariel doll! I was shocked they had something that size, and let me tell you, my cousin LOVES that doll so much. So it worked out perfectly!

8664296454_cee687c932_z.jpg

Personally, I think every room should have framed Toy Story art on the wall.

8664296332_0296265e7f_z.jpg

I love these hooks. They're making a movie! SO CUTE.

8663197885_d4ba2b82ef_z.jpg

Even the curtains had the character detail!

8663197743_78499fe34a_z.jpg

Here is my frump self all excited. I don't just mean Kristen & Jess's definition of frump either. I mean the regular frump definition since I 1. Had not showered 2. Was wearing no make-up 3. Threw my hair up in a frump bun 4. Didn't put my contacts in and 5. Just threw on whatever I saw first before I threw everything in my suitcase. :D Frump life.

8664295618_427d037de1_z.jpg

I unpacked a bit and then changed into my Mickey head dress. I also put my Woody mini in from Magical Ribbons!!!

8663197093_166c35395f_z.jpg

TOY STORY SECTION OF ALL STAR MOVIES REPRESENT!!!! WOO.

That is seriously my favorite Magical Ribbon. AHHH it just perfect.

Next, I headed out to explore! This was the view as soon as I stepped out the door.

AND BUZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8664294810_4b8b42584e_z.jpg

IT'S WOODY AND BUZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WAS STAYING IN ANDY'S ROOM.

I was beginning to love this place even more than Pop! I mean... IT WAS ANDY'S FREAKING ROOM!!!!!

Up Next: More exploring Andy's room, eating, then heading out and about! :D

disneygirlfriend...what are your dates for your upcoming trip? Knowing our luck, you will be leaving the day before I get there or something!

You're right, switching to a different resort during your trip is like hitting the refresh button! I totally get that feeling!

psst...ok, so I am caught up on this TR for now...and am currently reading your Dec. 2011 one....(which I am "McLovin" btw). :rotfl:

I could not post there, so am posting here about something from that TR...

Anyway....I wanted to mention something to you that by now you may already know but....

The drink you had and posted about on pg. 32 I think it was, was not the Grey Goose Slushie, but the Grand Marnier slushie....

The Grey Goose slushie is Lemon (with Grey Goose vodka) and the Grand Marnier slushie is Orange (with Grand Marnier)....
I am bummed that you did not enjoy the Grand Marnier slushies as it is one of mine and DH's faves at WS. We even had it as our "signature drink" at our Dessert Party in Morocco after our Disney wedding.

We have yet to try the Grey Goose slushie though as it's not my favorite vodka (and I'm a vodka girl-along with single malt scotch), but I think it should be partaken of on our upcoming trip!

So, if you did not know that you had the Grand Marnier slushie and NOT the Grey Goose slushie, you can still try the Grey Goose one next trip! :goodvibes

I am going back now to further enjoy your DEC TR.....cause you know...it's so much more fun than doing actual work. ;)

YAY an update before I leave. AWESOME!!!

Somehow that may have been my favourite update yet. You make changing resorts a life changing experience, and I love it! I can honestly feel the joy jumping out of my screen.

I actually love your tweets :) And I love, the love we share for Hanson and Disney.
I started following you on instagram :) and of course, I've been following you on Twitter.

I remember staying at Pop in 2011 and seeing the pumpkin carving contest. My favorite was the Ursula themed pumpkin.

I'm getting there May 13, the original plan was staying til May 23, but now we're definitely staying til the 25th and maybe the 26th! So we'll probably be there the same time!

Hi! Thanks for reading all my TRs :-)

Thanks for the info! At the time of that post a lot of people corrected me and told me what I drank was actually the Grand Marnier. I don't think I will be trying the Grey Goose one either, I am just not a big fan of vodka! I do plan on trying many different kinds of wine and beer though, so stay tuned for my tipsy World Showcase adventures :D

Enjoy the TR! :D

YAY an update before I leave. AWESOME!!!

Somehow that may have been my favourite update yet. You make changing resorts a life changing experience, and I love it! I can honestly feel the joy jumping out of my screen.

Have a magical trip! I'm glad you enjoyed the update so much. Safe travels and say hi to my beloved POP for me. :thumbsup2

Thank you! Yay Hanson! And thanks for following me!

I remember staying at Pop in 2011 and seeing the pumpkin carving contest. My favorite was the Ursula themed pumpkin.

That is an awesome idea for a pumpkin!

Too bad Lee-Ann had to leave already!!

The Toy Story..I mean Andy's Room..section looks so fun!! Love the matching accessories!! :thumbsup2
