CL AKL Morning Iced Tea??

Please tell me there is fresh brewed (not bottled) iced tea in the AKL CL? If not, where is the most convenient place to get it? And I'm not talking about a small cup.

Typically in the morning they will have juices in the large dispensers. Orange, Pineapple, Grapefruit or Apple. Then at 11:30 they change those dispensers to tea, lemonade, and one juice (I think it was Apple). But I haven't stayed there lately so it might be different now. Thanks. It's very common to drink iced tea in the morning where I'm from but I know that's not the case everywhere.

they do offer tea bags and hot water, so you could make a cup of hot tea and then pour it over ice? Or maybe try bringing a powdered tea mix with you in your suitcase? The crystal light tea isn't bad. I think Nestea also makes a single serving packet you can add to plain water.

Yeah, I may bring some of my own tea bags and make strong tea and pour it over ice. I'm really fussy and only like fresh brewed black iced tea. We plan to try and use the lounge for breakfast vs going out for breakfast where I can order iced tea. I recently had surgery on my foot so I have all day every day to get excited about our first trip to Disney.

You may not need to bring your own tea bags--/unless you are extra fussy. They have a wide variety of tea bags. I'm not home but will check when I get there- I may have a pic

Also you can ask the lounge staff in the morning if they have any tea. I think they keep it stored in back because I have asked for it at odd times of the day before. Also we've asked for milk at night for the kids. Usually the staff tries their best to get you what you want. Have you tried the Gold Peak tea? They have it in the marketplace on spout and you can get a large cup there.

I'm not sure about Gold Peak but I normally won't drink tea from a fountain or bottle. Thanks for the input.

I'd definitely ask the CL staff before bringing bags from home. If they can't provide it to you the first morning, they can likely put some aside for you for future mornings, or encourage you to take some back to your room in the afternoon/evening and put in your fridge so you can have it ready for you in the AM the next morning.

I don't understand how it's not everywhere......I love my sweet tea in the morning.......BIG glass please! Just makes the day start better.

I hear ya. I do drink mine unsweetened, but am just as fussy otherwise. However, as a child my best friends family did sweetened and I can remember the taste thinking of it as a total treat. In Missouri, at least south of the Missouri River you have to specify your preference.

I've often run into issues with getting iced tea while traveling in the US. This past March we flew thru the Phoenix airport and I ordered an iced tea while getting food at a restaurant. The waiter told me "we're a bar. No iced tea ". WTH???

Whenever I have stayed CL no iced tea in the morning, but I bring my own bags (or once in awhile use theirs) to make a strong tea and pour over ice. I am so picky about my tea as well, no bottled or fountain, no gold peak either I'm just not a fan of bottled tea. I remember coming through RPC off the elevator grabbing a fresh ice tea on the way to our room, it was so wonderful !!!! Love how RPC lounge is set up. Doing Poly this year and will miss having the lounge be so convenient !

Totally agree with this. Not sure if it helps, but the ice tea at Wolfgang puck express is awesome. I also drink my tea unsweetened. The gold peak stuff that they have in the food courts isn't very good, I think it's quite weak.
