What are our odds on SSR resale?

Early this week we will be submitting a contract to Disney for ROFR. It is for SSR, Aug UY, 250pts, 16 in 2013, 250 in 2014, $50 per pt. Really excited about it and hope Disney lets it go! What does everyone think?

I think you got one heck of a deal!!

As far as passing ROFR, your guess is as good as mine. Good luck though.

Thanks nabi! Since it was not a loaded contract I'm hoping $50 is a fair price, if it was loaded, we definitely would have offered more.

Bman338, that is a great deal! We submitted our contract about three weeks ago, same resort 225 pts. $65 per pt no points till 2014, and we are hoping to pass! Good Luck! Hope to be neighbors!

You have a very good chance of passing since IF they did take it they could not sell those points until Aug of 2014 which means holding a contract for over a year which is not something they are going to want to do IMO. Who knows how they ultimately decide but stripped contracts have the best chance of being waived through.

Sweet!!

Best of luck with ROFR!

I agree that stripped contracts have better chances of passing than loaded ones. I wonder though if a contract is stripped if Disney is able to fill the points? If so, would they have to fill the points with the same UY points?

They would need to "fill" with Aug UY points to make that work. If there were points banked I would think they could magically unbank them but there are only 16 points in the existing contract (as of Aug 2013) and then 250 in Aug 2014 they cannot sell something they do not have.

Nice deal so I hope you pass. We'll be doing the waiting game soon as we had our offer accepted on a loaded SSR contract with an Aug UY last Friday. There haven't been too many available lately.

That's a nice deal! We just passed today. SSR 160 points, Dec UY and it was loaded with 37 points from 2011, 160 points from 2012, and forward. We paid $59 pp with the seller paying MF through 2013 and closing costs. I was nervous since it was loaded and we weren't paying any fees but it went through!! good luck to you!!!

I think your chances to pass are good. Last month, I passed at $49 per point, with no points until Feb, 2014. Good luck!!
