Why no Wilderness Lodge listings?

I've never seen it so hard to find points to purchase! We only want to add on a smaller contract. Does anyone know how many people are on a waiting list with DVC?

Number of rooms, smaller resorts will have a smaller number of sales. VWL has always been a popular resort whose owners don't seem to sell very often.

You would probably be best to just contact your guide and see if they can get that info for you. Even when people have reported this info there sometimes is differing info. UY will also come in to play on so there are 8 possible waitlists for VWL.

We jumped on a 150 point contract a few weeks ago...December use year is hard to get at VWL so although we preferred 50-100 points, and paid a bit more than we wanted... We are waiting for ROFR ...

We're done adding on if this go through, three adult daughters and three contracts...tons of fun, and will pass along to them when were gone.

Nice contract, but a little too big for us.

When I got my VWL contract I was refreshing the page at Dvc by Resale(gets updated every night at 8 pm) and it literally appeared before my eyes. It was exactly what I was looking for so I called right away and was second in line for it. The first person backed out the next day and I got it. They seem to get picked up in a matter of minutes right now.

As a pp mentioned, the number will vary depending upon with whom you speak. With that caveat in mind, one poster on another thread stated she had called her guide to ask about the waitlist (UY not given) and was told if she went on then, roughly three days ago, she'd be 50th on the list. I know of another case where the person has been on the waitlist for a Feb UY, small contract, for going on two months and remains stuck in sixth place. Again, these are just two folks' experience; others will have varying thoughts.

I was wondering the same thing as we are interested in VWL to purchase perhaps late summer or early fall and I am hoping the waiting lists will be gone by then and some inventory will pick up? I would like the get a contract in time to book next summer so ideally before the 6 month window byt he time everything goes through and we are still saving....

All this talk is making me nervous...I know I said if Disney takes it, it wasn't meant to be...but I really do want the wait over...yea or nay!!!!
