First few days how much time for parks?

My dd is checking in on may 20th I am going with for just a couple days. Trying to decide on how many days of park tickets to get.
Wondering about Check in day....How much time is there for parks that day?
I know I will purchase on arrival day, and I know I will purchase for the day after check in. I have read she only has a short meeting that day.
Sound correct?

With the new check in procedures it's going to be a little hard to say. The first day count on at least half of it to be spent going through the check in process/casting/buying groceries for the first week. The majority of the second day she should be free to do whatever she wants and an hour long housing orientation at some point during the day (if she doesn't have it on the first day). The third day some may have traditions and those who don't are almost guaranteed to have it the fourth day. Hope this helps!

Also keep in mind, she will not receive her Cast ID until Traditions and Will not receive her maintgate until a couple weeks later as it is mailed to her home address as listed in SAP (HR Database). In order for her to get it the quickest, she needs to change it as soon as possible.

You did not mention if you would be purchasing for your daughter, but she will not have park admission until after traditions which is on the third or fourth day. You will need to purchase her a ticket as well for those days.

That being said, she might not want to go to the parks with you. The first day is exciting and hectic, she will want to unpack, take a trip to walmart and probably get to know her roommates. Most roommates do something together on the first night or the next day because it will probably be the only time they will ever all not be working and can hang out together.

I'd talk to your daughter about her plans, whether she has roommates set up and what they are planning to do before you spend money on a ticket she won't use.
