Just wondering....Should I go ahead and make my dining reservations now, or should I wait to make sure FD comes out??

Sleepy it's always better to make them now then not be able to get any later.. IMHO

Someone in the resort discount forum posted in the September 2013 thread that they had jnside info that FD would be from September 2-25. This sound a bit fishy to you guys? Cause it sure does to me. I would find it odd that the last week of August would be excluded and begin on Labor Day. This poster has seven posts too.

Just pointing it out. Sure we could all be way off if Disney decides to throw us a curve, but that would mean a large chunk of dates not discounted and beginning this one on a holiday.

I am so glad I wasn't the only one questioning it that's why I thought maybe just maybe this is a South America offer.. You know how UK gets different offers then us. Then i went to bed and thought wait a min! Disney doesn't let us TA know ahead of the public of any discounts! I got up looked at the calendar to see when Labor Day was and I just don't see them STARTING it on a holiday.. You never know but.. I sure wish Disney would stop make us wait tho I have clients who will cancel if FD doesn't come out and I need to know if I can't count on those sales as well as for my own trip!

So, with the value resort you get the quick service plan, but with the moderate or deluxe you get the dining plus. .. 1 cs meal one ya meal a snack and mug.

That seems to be what they have been offering. We always upgrade our quick service plan to regular dining; all you have to do is pay the difference.

They just seem to call it something else.... the dining plus plan seems to me to be the one we used back in the early 2000's.

Anyone know if the Little Mermaid rooms at AoA were excluded last time they did free dining? Or were they even open then? We have a LM room booked for October, and I have everything crossed for free dining, but I know some discounts have excluded the LM rooms. I would be willing to change resorts, but hope I won't need do!

The standard Little Mermaid rooms are blacked out for virtually all discounts. They keep them pretty much booked solid with no discounts. When they first opened last year a few people people got a 10% AAA discount and they were included in about 1 weeks worth of free dining in early September last year - but really those few FD dates were simply put out there because the Little Mermaid rooms opened ahead of schedule. There really hasn't been anything since and I don't think there will be for a long time. The discounts won't come for the LM standard rooms until the "newness" of the rooms wears off, and that could take a few years.

The LM rooms were mostly excluded from all offers. I say mostly because when they first opened they were included, but it seemed to be an error and it was only for a short period of time. Everything else they have not been included with any offers.

Getting nervous about fd I've heard that it will possibly come out on the 25 th but haven't heard any news about it I have our flights all booked for aug 28th, does anyone think my dates are good for fd if its offered?

Is there an oath or secret handshake?? I'm pretty sure I qualify to be a member...have been agonizing over and planning ADRs for months!! Hubby has to be tired of looking at the same menus over and over!!

I'm an ADR changer,,,,we're doing the DxDP for nine days in August, we have three DD's and I want to suck every bit of fun out of this trip as possible. My DH just laughs at me every time I say "I think I've got it now"

Thank you. If someone chooses not to believe a prediction then so be it. But no need to fuss about it. In the past it has been a poster and not a mod who has concrete info first. Even when it becomes apparent I would still caution everyone to wait until it is formally announced by Disney before doing anything like changing flights or whatever.

We can predict and often get it right, but we can't read minds....so nothing is 100% until it happens.

I'm perfectly fine with someone thinking that my predictions and info might be off by a few days, but being called a liar and accused of purposely posting inaccurate data and information is quite a different thing and quite unacceptable. Ive been to WDW and Disneyland countless times over my 40 years and I've gone to WDW every year since 2005 on a free dining discount. I used to be a travel agent and booked hundreds of people under free dining discounts. Like you I have kept personal records and have an obscene amount of historical data on free dining, annual Orange County and Orlando area conventions and sporting events and Ive tracked all WDW and DL resort discounts even before 2005. I parlayed my love of travel, tracking discounts and saving families money into a job at a large internet travel site where I have a travel and discount blog where I reach thousands of people each week. I certainly can't share my personal information on a public message board, but I've never in all these years seen or heard someone call out others for trying to purposely sabotage others vacation plans by passing incorrect information and historical data. It's truly unbelievable and despicable. I truly love participating in these boards and helping people, but will not help or post info or links for individuals that attack others. People who are so unkind can just learn to use Google ;-) Apparently the mods have been informed about this issue and some other similar situations and are monitoring very closely. I've been advised that this is the perfect situation for the Dis Block Feature, and that's probably a good idea ;-)

Historically your date was included.. Just keep up the hope!!

I'm an ADR changer,,,,we're doing the DxDP for nine days in August, we have three DD's and I want to suck every bit of fun out of this trip as possible. My DH just laughs at me every time I say "I think I've got it now"

My DH just says, "Whatever you want honey" and says it with a glazed look in his eyes. He also said even if he doesn't like something while on vacation, I won't hear a peep out of him as long as I stop asking him what he thinks
