Best pool?

We have always stayed at value resorts, but we want to try a mod or even a deluxe (if we get a good discount). My kids will be 10 and 7 and love to swim, especially water slides. The two pools I know about are the Polynesian and the Beach Club. What other pools would be great? In case we can't afford a deluxe, which mod has the best pool? If there is already a thread on this, can someone give me a link? Thanks!

I would say that CSR has a great swimming pool in the mod category.

Between CSR, POFQ, and POR, I think Coronado has the best pool. I don't have experience at Caribbean Beach (although ill be there in 2 weeks!), so I can't include that one in my comparison. I thought the Mayan temple feature pool was really cool. POFQ was nice, but I didn't think there was as much room on the patio for chairs, etc. (could be that it was just a bit more crowded when we were there) I also thought the POFQ pool was more shaded... I was actually cold there! This would probably feel great in the hot summer months, but in October it was too chilly for me.

I agree. CSR does have the best mod pool by far but it doesn't stop there. Its waaay better than a lot of the deluxes too. Best pool with best slide I think goes to BWV though.

Unless of course your have a fear of C L O W N S....lol

My kids love the pool and slide at CSR. We *all* like the slide - it's so fun!

I agree, CSR has the best pool, especially at night when it's all lit up! Of the Deluxe resorts, YC/BC definitely, it's a mini-waterpark!

THIS is why I will never stay at BWI LOL!! It's a shame, if it weren't for the nightmare pool, it would be top of my list!!

Another vote for CSR for the best mod pool. My kids LOVE Stormalong Bay at YC/BC, but the CSR pool comes in a close second.

Are adults allowed to go down the slide at CBR? Bit of a chicken but I'd like to try and build my courage a bit.

Out of the deluxes, our favorite is the volcano pool at the Poly and we've stayed at WL, AKL, Poly, BC, & GF. The only mod we've stayed at is CBR and we enjoyed that pool as well (and it has since been redone).

Best pool on property is SAB at BC/YC, second place Volcano pool at Poly, IMO. Also love the pool at AKL.

In the moderate category,i definitely have to agree with CSR...in the deluxe, we absolutely love the pool at the BC...although seating there can be hard to come by during the busier months.

We love this pool because it has a 1' wide ledge about 18" under the water that you can sit on and relax! It is great to lay back and enjoy the water.
