Number 9 is really FINE! Welcome to AKL LITE - the 'unofficial' FAQ Thread

Hehehe. I asked because I thought I read or saw in a pic somewhere that they were African wines/beers or something...maybe I'm making this up??

Still unsure about a split stay...right now we have the first 2 nights offsite (Sea World) then 6 nights at CR (in a deluxe garden wing room - basically extra space). For some reason I got the idea to look into AKL CL. But I don't think I want to give up the CR completely either. Hence the split stay idea...

Trying to figure out costs though with dining and park tickets, etc. Anyone have any insight on the best way to do it?

Thanks so much!! :-)

CL has a Tuskers beer that is really nice, so you should try it while you are there.

The wines are nice South African wines.

It's so sad when your name drops OFF the list....luckily I still have that one-day teaser to hold me over in September! ;-)

Anyone wanna take me and DD back with you? We're small and don't eat much (well, she doesn't)!

I agree, but I have not had my name on my own list in over 2 years now...

Has anyone done the sunrise safari trek open to CL guests? Details? Worth it?

Hello. We are going next Wed to Wed and are in a pool view room. Couldn't pull of a Savannah on budget. allears mentioned some windows in the hallways. Are these on a map anywhere? I'd love to be close to one of the windows.

Look on all ears.. They have a map. One of the halls has a balcony with seats to view animals

Halfway down zebra trail.. It doesn't show on the map, but I have been on it

Walk Kudu and Zebra Trails -- there are windows between each of the pods of rooms. Go to the 2nd floor and you can walk out onto overlooks at several places. Rocking chairs for your comfort! ;)

One of my favorite places to animal view is way at the end of Kudu Trail. Go out onto the stairwell. It's where the 2 savannahs meet and the barn is there. :goodvibes

My absolute favorite place to view animals requires a visit to Kidani. From the Kidani lobby, go down the stairs and outside onto the overlook (right outside of Sanaa). I have met some of the most awesome CMs there; the fire pit is right there; lots of rocking chairs. Giraffe, Zebra, Ostrich and various other animals & birds are usually in the area. They often do "feedings" there which attract the animals to come VERY close! ::yes::

To me, the room view has never been important. Taking time to explore the resort and enjoy all it has to offer is the key to having the vacation of your lives! :cloud9:
