September 2013 Watch

Thanks both of you! I've signed up a bunch of places for a bunch of things but no pins yet. I just upgraded to the new premium disney credit card from the old card so maybe that will trigger something? Who knows - but thanks again wasn't sure if there was a specific "thing" I had to sign up for or not.

Have you tried calling in to check if you have a PIn? I never get them in the mail or email but I've gotten them by calling and asking to heck under our family name!

ASMU/POR Dec 16-22, 2012 & POFQ Sept 8-15, 2013

I got something in the mail from Disney Destinations on Monday and started freaking out. I thought it was a PIN. I opened it and it said "we are glad you are thinking of coming in August. Here are some great discounts (or something like that). I was so let down :( I wanted a PIN for September. I only clicked on the August link to see how far out the discounts went. I will still wait patiently for my discounts :rotfl2:

Ha! What did I just tell you? I went out to get the mail a little while ago and there is a card with a PIN in DH's name! LOL

It might not even be a good deal, I don't know. It's for summer dates and we aren't going until September. But still, *I* never get them.

Hi everyone!

Does anyone have an idea when the September room discounts will come out? We're booked for 9/13-9/21 and hoping to apply the room discount to our reservation!

TIA :goodvibes

Yup- just got an email with a code - in my dads name haha!! Figures!

I'd really love to go to Disney this Sept, but without a good discount it's not happening. DS turns 3, and I'd love to take him before I have to buy him a ticket. DD turns 14, but I admit I have concerns about taking her out of school for a week. Either way without a great discount it won't be happening. Come on Disney give me a great deal.

Thank you - we still have to book our first night, if we did that on rack rate are we then entitled to free dining if it happens and is it just for the number of nights we are booked?

So my BF's sister got a code today in the mail for a stay and play package, dates 09/14-09/30. She says it didn't give specifics on percentages, and didn't include dining but did say you could add that. She's going to call tomorrow to get more info but I was wondering if anyone here knows what the stay & play deal is - the only rate published in her flyer was $712 for adult, $289 kid, based on 6 night stay in value resort. Would this be like a room discount - only apply to the dates listed, or would it apply for whole trip if any date listed falls in the stay? Has anyone used this type of discount before? Is it even a real discount or just another teaser like the fake mail pins that were distributed last month? I'm a bit antsy to get details from her on it tomorrow so I can crunch numbers, and also jealous that I didn't get the same offer (we're vacationing together & have the same dates stored on Disney website profiles, darn you pin distribution system!! lol)

Do you know if the code is 3 digits or 15 digits? If it is only 3, it is not a discount and just an advertisement. If it is 15, there should be some amount of savings, but it really should say something like "save up to XX%" somewhere on the flyer. If it is a true PIN, she can book up to 3 rooms with it. Good luck! :goodvibes

No, didn't think to ask about the pin length. Guess I'll just have to wait for her to report back tomorrow. Thanks for your help though! If I get good news I'll post it here for everyone also. I know a pin discount isn't much help to GP but maybe you can score it by asking a reservation rep. :) putting good ju-ju out!!!

I'm just going to add my 2 cents or maybe 1.5 cents....

waiting like the rest. Though I'm currently booked at Swan (couldn't pass up $170/night with a heavenly shower lol). Would really love to stay at the Contemporary.

Le Sigh.

If you are traveling with her you will be able to book the same deal. My family was able to with the pin I received.

I decided I was sick of waiting for a discount and realized that my little girl would most enjoy staying in a Little Mermaid room at Art of Animation. So we're booked at A of A for September 15-20 (5 nights) with non park hopper 5 day tickets and table service dining for a bit over $2100. I'll save an additional 5% by buying Disney gift cards at Target so the trip will come in at roughly $2000. Not too bad. If free dining does come out, I may switch resorts but tonight I'm pretty happy with our choice, mainly because my 6 year old is going to flip out when she sees the resort!

AOA has been included in FD before so hoping you wont need to switch pixiedust:.. I may switch to AOA LM room ( from POFQ) but FD for values will probably be QSDP that Ill need to upgrade to DDP plus..

AoA LM rooms have been excluded from almost every discount since they opened. Only the suites are eligible for FD.

I agree, highly doubt we will see any discounts on those LM rooms for a long time and definitely not for the next round of free dining.

Lm rooms are still in demand. They dont need a promo to sell them out.

Just booked rack rates at CR. talk about painful. Hoping for a RO discount for deluxe.

Yes, I know. We just decided that a LM room was the room and AoA was the resort that would make the trip most magical for our 6 year old, princess loving, girly girl daughter. We also decided that $2000 for resort, tickets and table service dining plan was a decent price for 5 nights and 6 days. We paid that two years ago at Pop but we had our oldest daughter who is in college now with us then. So same price but only 3 of us this time. We may change our minds if free dining really does come out and switch somewhere else but a moderate with free dining won't be much, if any, cheaper really and I know for sure that my 6 year old is going to think she's in Disney heaven when she gets a look at AoA. I'm usually all about getting the best discounts possible but I'm excited to be going to a brand new resort that seems like it was tailor-made for our daughter. :thumbsup2

PS: I need to change my ticker. This one is from our fall 2011 trip. Can someone tell me how to change it? Thanks!
