A rabbi, a priest, and a pastor board the Wonder: we're back!

I'll have to look into them more closely. What comes in the Bon Voyage package? I'm thinking I'd like to get one full of stuff I'm going to buy anyway. Two birds with me stone and all that. :thumbsup2 I'm so excited. He's going to flip. I keep going back and forth between early and late seating. :hyper: I just can't decide though we've got early now. I figure it's probably easier to change to later than to earlier.

The Bon Voyage is the same as the birthday one with a door magnet, banner, and two room decorations. I liked it since it made the room really festive the whole cruise. Your idea sounds great, two birds with one stone is always a great idea. I think you're right, lots of people want to switch to early dinner since it fills up faster.

Now no cake and it's the same price? :faint: Yikes! No way am I doing that. I would like to acknowledge his bar mitzvah somehow as that's the reason we're cruising. I told the DC people and they seemed to note it. A specialty cake might be nice but with all that food and just the two of us, it seems silly to order a cake but I don't know.

I did see the waterbottle/backpack/cards option and really liked it. That may be the one I choose. I also know he'll have to have a Captain Mickey.

You could also look up gift baskets by shirley, I think that's right, she advertises here on the Dis and her office is next door to the Dis Welcome Center, She can do custom baskets and deliver them to the ship.

;) :rotfl: :lmao: You noticed.

I want a banner and magnets and room decorations! That sounds like so much fun! Do you have pictures posted somewhere? I do want to make it feel very celebratory.

I still haven't decided on dinner. Being rushed during the day is my main concern. I'm also concerned with eating dinner so late and filling up on junk during the shows. We eat early at home.

:welcome: and :thanks: Does she deliver in Miami? I'll have to look into it.

Check out the link in her sig for the Dream cruise I think is where it is.

We eat late at home, but I would feel really rushed to have to be at dinner at like 5:30 (or is it 5:45?). I have always done the late seating, and while it is a pretty late dinner, we usually go back to the room after dinner and crash with maybe a stop on the way for shopping or pictures or something. We aren't club people so we're not into that and I like getting the show done before dinner so I can take my time eating.

That's just us.

On Onetreehilladicts's TR I saw just how beautiful the sail away from Miami's Port is. I think it's wayyyy nicer than the photo's I've seen out a PC. Your in for a treat in just 276 days!:cool1:

Really? I'll have to check it out. Do you have a link to that post? I started to read hers a while back but got overwhelmed with the amount of reports I was reading. Keeping up is hard. DH makes mad fun of me.

That I don't know

I'll check into it. Time to Google. The Disney Cruise Line offers some neat packages, expensive but neat. I really want to make it a party like atmosphere for Joshua.

:magnify: ::yes:: I'm good like that!

I was typing my countdown and forgot to change the font and was too lazy to type in all of the info so I had to make a .. :rotfl2:

I'm really torn between late and early. I hate to be rushed too during meals but with Joshua and I, I'm not sure how long we'll take anyway. For all I know he'll make a bunch of friends the first day and I'll be alone, sitting by the pool, drinking on ship days or in the Rainforest Room or getting a spa treatment. It'd be a hardship but I'd survive. ;) I don't want to be rushed on port days although we have to be back on the ship anyway. Plus the idea of all of the kids leaving the pool by 5:00 to make it to a 5:45 dinner sounds heavenly as duck is my favorite time on the water. But we do eat early here. 8:00 there is like 6:00 here. 5:45 there is like 3:45 here. We don't eat that early. Can I change on the ship? Plus I want table mates and Joshua doesn't mind them but just doesn't want a bunch of unruly kids. :rotfl: Clubs aren't an option for me as I'll be with Joshua. It's a tough call for me. Thank you for the insights. :goodvibes

We do late seating and it's been fabulous. I also think you will have a lot less younger kids at the second seating. It lets you maximize port and sunlight time!

You do late seating? I'm really tempted to change. Do you find the kids filling up on junk during the show? Do you find yourself filling up on junk during the show? ;) I can see me gorging on popcorn leaving little room for dinner and that would bum me out. I like the idea of maximizing sunlight and port time. :hyper: I know once I change, I can't change back. I keep looking and our cruise still has a ton of availability.

I much prefer late seating...I do get a Cheese tray from room service when I"m getting ready and have a glass of wine...then I don't eat junk at the show and am ready for dinner. :)

My DH makes fun of me too for the amount of time I spend here:rolleyes2 Oh well:goodvibes

I saw Alison directed you to my TR. there's pictures and a video of the room with the decorations. Even without the cake I would still get it again.

We don't fill up on junk, but we do have a mid afternoon snack, between 3-5 every day. Usually fruit or pizza from the quick service places. Im like Alison and like having the show before dinner. We don't do much after dinner either. A few times we've done a late movie but usually just call it a night after dinner.

That is a brilliant idea. :thumbsup2 DS wants to take advantage of room service. We could do it before the show instead of after. I'm really temped to change now. I've seen pics of the cheese tray and it looks great. Can I bring a corkscrew on board? Rooms don't have fridges right?

They do realize that their Disney trips and most all likely all vacations are so fabulous because we research so much, right? princess:  :rotfl: They should be thanking us instead of poking fun at us.

I'm going to check it out. I've read your report but don't remember seeing the pic of decorations. :upsidedow

Good idea too. And that way were not rushed during dinner either by having the late seating. We could also go for a swim or something after too. I really don't want to be rushed during the days. Can you make the change while on board if there's room?

Pam, I found the room decorations and they're so cute. I was on your Wonder report and then realized the pics were on your Dream report. :thumbsup2

I request a corkscrew and wine glasses from room service. The rooms do have fridges although last time I knew, the Wonder and Magic had more "coolers" and not true fridges...I just ask the cabin steward for ice and throw that in the cooler box to keep it cooler.

Great idea! :thumbsup2 Thank you. Sometimes I miss the obvious. I'm sort of thinking we need to stay near a Target, Walmart, store that sells booze. I was just on the Disney Cruise site and I know this might make me sound cheap but $35 for 24 bottles of water? :scared1: That seems steep to me. Will I have to lug on the case of water? Can I put in in a bag and have Disney deal with it?

I think I'm going to order Joshua this and a $50 on board credit:

Do the drink fill stations have water? I don't drink much soda but drink a ton of water. I can also use the water bottle for my drinks down by the pool. ;)

The cooler kept my box of wine nice and cool, except for the first night where I had to add ice. This trip I brought some 1liter bags of Meridian. No corkscrew necessary!

Yeah the water and soda (not from the fountain) prices are absurd! That's why we are going to Walmart tomorrow.
