Sorry Gaston, They are MUCH More Interesting Than You!*6/8* NEW Trip Report Link p154

Cynthia, I am very impressed with your last morning. In one hour you were sure able to get around MK!

Mary Ellen, I love your Agent P. We love Agent P here... so ::yes:: Yes. yes, he is a real character. ;)

Mary Ellen - how awful for you guys. So pleased to hear he is doing okay. Thank goodness you kept pushing.

Take care pixiedust:

So glad everything turned out okay. You definitely deserved some 'make up' vacation days after that! :thumbsup2

Yes, that ToT picture is awesome! Hollywood Studios is a cool night park with all the neon lights.

Pretty pictures looking across the lake from Boardwalk to Beach & Yacht Club, too.

Health issues are stressful anytime but when they happen on vacation it is unnerving. I am so glad Denny is ok!

Love your Agent P even if he isn't a "classic" character :)

Wow, Mary Ellen- so sorry to hear about Denny. I can't imagine how stressful and scary it was for both of you to go through, especially being far from the comforts of home. Good for you (and thank God) you advocated for him and insisted that he have the stress test. Sending positive vibes for continued recovery!!!

Thanks for sharing the story with us. I don't think you can reinforce enough that it is better to be overly cautious than to dismiss symptoms like that, especially if you have a nagging feeling things aren't quite right.

Back to Disney- what an amazing last day you both had!!!

Cynthia- the pictures in France are really, really beautiful. I always stop for solo photopass shots when I am alone- same reasons- the number of pictures of me on vacation, with or without family, are very slim. Plus the rest of the family always roll their eyes when I insist on photos, so this is another way to get my money's worth.

Gorgeous pictures, both from your walk to BW :-)love: the one of the Yacht Club through the trees) and to HS. Both sets of pictures of ToT at sunset are breathtaking. Love them!

Hmmm- the last two reviews I have read of meals at HBD have not been encouraging- mostly issues with servers (I am referring to emmysmommy's review). The food looked really good, though! Mmmmm- the grouper sounds incredible!

Great night shots at the Studios. What a gorgeous place at night.

Cynthia- you had a fantastic morning at MK. I love how much you were able to accomplish in that first hour or so, before the swarms of people show up. I absolutely adore the picture on BTM with the castle and steamboat in the picture.

Nice meet-up!

Slowly catching up so I can enjoy the photos. Your Animal Kingdom morning looks great. how nice to just go in, do what you want and head out.

MEK GREAT EE photos! I felt a little dizzy on the backwards part :rotfl2: how can you snap all those photos on a coaster?

Cynthia - so did they replace the necklace? I saw you bought one similar, so I am guessing no, but have to ask!

Your photo pass picture by EE came out very nice despite sunglare.

be back soon!!

They did replace it with no issues, I wasn't looking for that actually, but did show them what had happened and they just did a swap. And I bought a 2nd as a backup. Believe it or not, he still has both! And wears them all the time :thumbsup2

It was a really nice morning.

Sounds like you opted for the "green experience" post dinner while Cynthia was up for the "orange, more intense experience" after HBD. :lmao:

:lmao:

love that

My kids were very into Agent P for a while. Over it now but I agree, he's real. It was a great last morning, really amazing what you can accomplish solo.

Exactly. If you've paid for the PP, why not? I'm so rarely in any pictures that I do take advantage when I can.

YC is so pretty anytime you photograph it but really lovely at night. It was such a gorgeous walk.

The food is good, I would go back for sure.

Nice meet-up!

One of the best things about doing TR's is seeing pictures (again) so much after the fact. I didn't even realize I had that shot and liked it so much I updated my cover photo on FB to it. Of course the darn profile picture covers up the steamboat so you loose some of the effect but still.

Ok, got a little bit behind...

Great evening at DHS, for both of you. Even if you both handled it differently. I can't argue with the logic on either touring plan, but I'd tend to lean a little more towards one that includes Rock n Rollercoaster.

And I think if I got to choose a character to draw, Agent P would be near the top of the list... :lmao:

Cynthia - The MK morning looks fantastic. 2 mountains, a Dis meet and Pirates all in about an hour. Nice job! :thumbsup2

I'm sorry to hear that HHI wasn't as much fun as it could have been, but I'm glad that you recognized Denny's problem and were able to get him taken care of before it became something worse.

Great update Cynthia :) you got a lot done that morning! Can't wait to see what tshirts you ended up buying.

Mary Ellen, what a scary situation you guys went through. I'm so glad he's alright now. Sorry about that ED doctor.

Mary Ellen, thank you for sharing Denny's story. I'm so glad it has a happy ending! It's a reminder that we/family are our best health care advocates and to listen to our intuition. I'm glad you were able to extend your vacation and I hope Denny is feeling back to himself.

MEK - so glad Denny is better now. I know first hand the feeling of having a loved one admitted to a hospital out of town. It's bad enough being in the hospital but the added stress of unfamiliar surroundings and unknown healthcare providers makes it even worse. At least you were familiar enough with what was needed to get him the care he required. That is not always the case and the results are rarely optimal. Again, glad he is better and has a great prognosis! :thumbsup2

Wow Mary Ellen, I'm so glad to hear that Denny is doing okay! That must have been scary but I'm glad you got it all figured out.

DHS is best at night! It's so pretty. Love your pictures!

Mary Ellen, how scary for you guys. Luckily, you were there to notice these symptoms and act on them quickly. Unfortunately for DH, his dad doesn't know his real dad and it's difficult to find out any info on the guy. We have no idea his family history and DH's dad is pretty much playing with fire. But i'm glad it all turned out okay in the end :goodvibes

I've yet to visit the Art Academy at DHS. I've been several times at Disney's California Adventure and love it. Agent P...interesting! I've only ever drawn classic characters like Donald, Minnie, Pooh, Chip (or Dale:confused3) so Agent P is different!

Cynthia - Way to make Rope Drop! :yay: You had a pretty successful morning in the amount of time you were there. Great job!

Thank goodness Denny is ok! I am sure that was very scary for you since you know ALL of the possibilities. I am glad you got to extend your trip a little and relax!

Good thing Denny had you by his side. Wonderful that all turned out well & now he knows to pay attention to his body. I know from. My scare last summer how it feels when something like that happens. Thank goodness mine was only a gall bladder, especially with my family's heart history.

Hilton Head is one of those places I would like to see some day.

What brand of DSLR do you have? I bought one today from a friend, a Nikon d40, seems like a nice camera.

What a scary situation that must have been!! Thank goodness that Denny is doing well, and that you were there to recognize the symptoms!!

To Cynthia's post:
Ahhhh no, D Day already? :( Nice to have a late flight at least. MUCH better than my 8:00am filght and corresponding 4am ME pickup! :lmao:
You got so much done in a short (early) space of time. :thumbsup2 and a Dismeet to boot!
Love the pirates t-shirts!

To Mary Ellen's post:
Oh my word, how terrifying about Denny! I am so glad you pushed the issue and listened to your gut/knowledge about his family history. I'm glad he's doing well and got you looking out for him. Also glad to hear you got to extend your vacation a little and relax and enjoy!
LOVE your ToT sunset pictures! You both got some awesome shots of that. Good timing!
Great drawing of Agent P... I don't know who that is. I would have been a little disappointed drawing him as well!
Great night shots!

It was the dreaded D day. Departure day. The saddest day of all.

One day we will find a way to make the real world feel more like Disney World.

My kind of wait

::yes:: Walking on Space Mountain is an excellent way to start a last day.

We met up and headed in. Not the most exciting queue!

But they're working on that!

And…proof that I really did go on the ride with Jenny and her family!

:thumbsup2

It would just be WRONG not to go on POTC over the course of a whole trip, right?

Yes. Yes, it would.

Clearly I was still stuck in the “You must take T-shirt pictures” mode!

I took a picture of this one too, just because it cracked me up!:rotfl2:

The drive was uneventful. In fact, I actually drove all the way to NC with only one bathroom break.

 I can say without a doubt that my family never, ever would have made it that far.

I told him this could be chest pain. You know - angina. It was possible, although it seemed so odd, since he is used to activity at a much higher level. But in anyone else I would say "you need to get checked".

Very scary! You can never be too careful.

5 minutes later he comes back inside and said he was having "pain". He didn't describe it as heart burn anymore. It was pain in the center of his chest and his throat felt like he was breathing frigid air. He burped a bit and rubbed the center of his chest. The pain gradually subsided after several minutes.

I was already dressed for Savannah. This time I could see his reaction. He wasn't telling me his symptoms after the fact. I wasn't playing games anymore. I said, "get dressed we are going to the ED".

My goodness. You made the right call, definitely.

Denny completely flunked his stress test. He couldn't even get to the 2nd stage without having chest pain and EKG changes. The first stage is only three minutes of brisk walking.

I'm so glad you pushed for that.

Denny was discharged the next day and we extended our HHI stay by several nights so he and I could enjoy our vacation a bit more. He feels fine right now and should have a full recovery. He is just freaked out because he thought he was lowering his risk as much as possible. Genes Denny. They rule.

I am sharing this with you with Denny's permission because I think it helps educate about the warning signs of cardiovascular disease and underscores the importance of family history. Denny, by the way, is 59. His dad died at 46.

So thankful he was able to get the treatment he needed. What a scare! You'll need a vacation from this vacation!

Let us know if you guys need anything while he's still recovering. We're not far away.

By the time we were ready for dinner the sun was already setting. The plan was to walk back to HS for our dinner ADR.

Love these sunset shots!

I just love the way HS is lit up at night

::yes::

Annoying kids with giant balloon hats that made the instructor hard to see.

Got a needle in your purse? :rolleyes1

Seriously? Is Agent P really a character? I guess, but not one I wanted to draw. Oh well.

Don't be hatin' on Agent P! He is full of awesome!

I am proud to announce that I finally got all our links updated!!!!! :cool1:

I am still catching up on all my subbed reports, so if I missed you please know that I am going in a totally random order that makes no sense whatsoever.

Thanks for all the positive thoughts regarding Denny's scary experience. He still is in shock that his is a victim of cardiovascular disease while I knew long before I married him that he would likely have early CVD.

I should be doing replies soon!

Phew....I am finally caught up. There is no way I can comment on everything...I'd be here for a couple of hours. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'll just say what fun updates and what beautiful pictures, as always. Now, I should be able to keep up until our trip in June (heaven help me after that trip and the wedding!).
