Sorry Gaston, They are MUCH More Interesting Than You!*6/8* NEW Trip Report Link p154

You guys really did get a lot covered that last day... Kudos to youdos...:goodvibes

Your server at Brown Derby sounds... well... a little bizarre... not the best way to earn good tips or make customers happy... :confused3 I scheduled a lunch with an Imagineer there in July as a surprise for Eric... I hope he's not on...

Lovely pictures in France Cynthia...
:

Perhaps I am overly critical, all those years of waiting tables. I have heard nothing but amazing things about the lunch with an Imagineer. I'll look forward to hearing about it, I've thought of that as a birthday present for Eric but he may be too young and...it may not be that easy to just break him away from the group on the cousin trip.

It really didn't feel like a lot at the time, it was very relaxed. Well other than my moments of power shopping and pin trading. LOL!

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The custom sort (and sort by file name, oldest or newest) is fully BACK on photobucket!!!!

Now if you could only do a bulk drag and drop but still...I am SO happy!

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

wait... but I did! I was able to actually get the "organize" to work in the way I wanted it to. Once I clicked that... I could highlight multiple photos and drag them into different albums. I hope that wasn't just a momentary "glitch" :rotfl2:

I figured out how to make it work, I couldn't highlight the section like I'd been used to doing, had to click the front and end of the section and then it would highlight everything in the middle so I could drag where I wanted. Same thing for sorting :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Another fabulous day. I am amazed at how much you gals get done in one day. it's great.

It was a great day. I really enjoyed it!

Your pp pics in front of France are lovely!
And I love those silhouette shots of ToT with the sunset! Awesome!
Glad you enjoyed your dinner, despite the awkward waiter.

I love those ToT shots because I have the same ones! :thumbsup2 And apparently I forgot all about the awkward waiter. :confused3

:rotfl: Somehow I don't think this is a case where you are finally admitting it so you can move beyond it.........

Good point! :rotfl2:

I think I would have had to ride it also, since I have never ridden it at night! :goodvibes And yes I know it is an indoor ride and time of day doesn't affect it, but I don't think I've ever seen the wait time that low during EEMH so I would have had to take advantage!!!

I agree. But I always feel like inside rides seem darker at night. I know that sounds weird, but its true! :upsidedow

And I have to agree that DHS is a lot prettier at night all lit up............and definitely when it is the Osborne Lights doing the lighting!!! :rotfl:

Again - I totally agree. I love all the marques at night and the Osborne lights are the BEST!

UGH, that happened to me at Vero and then at AKV it wouldn't allow certain sites through it's firewall.

Every time I would sign on it wouldn't authorize it because it was not a secure site. I have no trouble picking up service where there is no password involved. I finally just gave up. Not worth the hassle and trying to change settings.

For some crazy reason the RnR single rider lines backs up more than the EE single rider line.

I think they just shut it down to give it a chance to thin out or you end up waiting longer than the regular line. :scared2:

I did get in there once the single rider line was backed up to the studio doors, I turned around and went back through the studio and out the way I went in. ::yes::

I think its where the single rider line lets in. It's just too far back in the queue and really doesn't make sense, but I don't see how they would do it any differently.

I wish I was on that Boardwalk right now meandering back to my resort. :cloud9:
Sounds like a great dinner and eating outside with a nice night is just fabulous.

I wish I was, too! I just back from a Disney resort, but I could happily go right back to another one. It's just a way of life.

Our dinner setting was perfect.

Sounds like a fabulous day! :)

We did have a great day with a lot of variety. It was a lot of fun! :goodvibes

That's Jackie's place! She's made us all fall in love with it, too, through her pictures.

It was a cute little place and I'm sorry we couldn't stay longer, but I'm actually happy we got to see Tybee. I can definitely see how Jackie ended up in the cute little bungalow she stayed in. The houses are adorable. Very different from Hilton Head.

Hmmm....that long story is going to be interesting, I do believe. :scratchin

I may only tell the short version, but - yeah - interesting and unexpected. :rolleyes1

Love the pictures. There is just something magical about the parks at night. You dinner at BD seems interesting. I personally don't like it much when the cm's act like people. I would prefer they keep the illusion going on and not act as though they have lives outside of the parks. I know... tis selfish of me. ;)

I definitely want them to keep the illusion! However, the last CM we had there on our May 2010 trip acted like a regular person, but in such a great way that he was really like-able.

And the hat... you said you hate to see it go? Is it going?! :confused3

That was my reaction. I'm glad she confirmed it as a rumor! ;)

Truly, your last day seems like a good one!!!

I like Cynthia had a great last day and I really enjoyed it too! :thumbsup2 Really a winner!

Mary Ellen... sounds like something happened.. but you still have a couple days of vacation. Hopefully they will be amazing days. :goodvibes

Yup - we had a very unexpected medical incident. However, it could have been much, much worse! The bright side was we got to extend our stay and we did a good job of making up for lost time!

 That is going to be one heck of a story. Glad you could regroup and enjoy a couple of extra days.

Also good to hear their hospital is pretty nice too. :flower3:

Oh yeah - its a doozy! And the hospital staff was very, very nice. And if anyone has to stay in a hospital for a few days its certainly better to stay in one with a view of a pretty courtyard with a fountain and palm trees!

So far we have three members! I've read several rumors over the last 2 years, all involving various different expansion ideas at DHS. I love the hat!

I'm having a GREAT time reading the TR by the "Dynamic Duo".

I'm guessing that IF they take the hat down they'll have to already have some kind of plan to replace it. And before it starts to come down they'll make a BIG announcement telling us what their plan is. Like most folks here I want to see the hat stay where it is!

Wow!! What a last day together you guys had!! I thought I pushed it to the limit at Disney, but I have never had more than a 2 park day...I need to try that!

Umm...Mary Ellen...hospital + vacation = :sad2:

I am so sorry for whatever happened, but I am glad to hear everything is ok now! :thumbsup2

@Cynthia I agree about the chance to getting through the full TSM queue, especially if the wait is only 40 minutes. So many things to take pictures of!! Was it you or Poolrat that has the aversion to the yellow-green crayon? I can't remember...;)

While Mary Ellen is re acclimating to life with actual internet connection, no password and work versus hospital (oh wait, that isn't all that different...in some ways) I thought I'd get an update in!

It was the dreaded D day. Departure day. The saddest day of all. One of the blessings of the west coast is the ability to fly direct, late in the day if you can get the right flight at the right times. I’d been lucky enough to get that flight back in August, and again today. It is not looking as good to get it for our December trip next year but we will see. As a result, my flight wasn't until 6:30, which meant DME at 3:30. Thanks to the fact that my roomie was staying another night, I didn't have to worry about getting my bags to bell services early and checking out. I did need to check in for my flight and found some issues trying to do that and prepay for my bag, both through their mobile app and my computer in the room. I don’t remember if I did that early in the morning or later that day but either way it ate up some time and if memory serves I attempted more than once, probably trying early, giving up, then trying again later that day. I’m guessing I had a last coffee and yogurt on the verandah but…nothing to prove it one way or another.

The reality was, I had an agenda to keep that morning. All the votes were in on the tees and I had one last shopping trip to make. I was going to head off solo, do my thing, and meet back up with Mary Ellen a little bit later.

Where did I go? What time did I get there?

9:05. Not bad!

Of course I was headed here first

My kind of wait

Having started my MK morning as one should, I sadly meandered through NFL, knowing it would be more than a year before I’d be back and it would look vastly different yet again

Jenny (rentayenta) and I had been texting, they were at the MK as well and we made plans to meet up at another mountain.

We met up and headed in. Not the most exciting queue!

Lets see how wild this ride really is?

Blurry. Not wild.

Anybody need a bath?

Not a bad view, not bad at all!

Good morning!

And…proof that I really did go on the ride with Jenny and her family!

Check this out, Jenny’s adorable son Josh showed me the wonderful bracelet he had made at Kidani doing activities, he earned a bead for each thing he did. My Evan would be so into that! It was very cool and neat that they’d taken advantage of the resort activities like that

Continued in next post

My self-allotted window of time in the MK was starting to close in on me but I had a few things that I hadn't done yet on this trip that I really wanted to get in.

Almost 10

It would just be WRONG not to go on POTC over the course of a whole trip, right?

That’s what I thought too!

Clearly I was still stuck in the “You must take T-shirt pictures” mode!

10:08.

Do I have time for anything else?

Wow, you go girl! You know how to get it done. Love the Jenny cameo. I wonder if that Pirate Periodic Table t shirt will still be there in 10 days, DS9 will be all over that!

Always great starting a MK day with Space Mountain!!!

And you got some great ride pics on BTMRR!!! :thumbsup2

:woohoo: for a DISMeet and ride time together!!! :yay: Spending time at a Disney park with special DIS friends is always a good day! :goodvibes

So nice to get that extra park "day" squeezed into your trip when you don't have to leave early for home! A guilty pleasure........... ;)

 Departure day! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! ;)

You rock girl, 9.05 at MK and two rides and a DISmeet down an hour later! :thumbsup2 I am sure you were able to fit in another ride. :goodvibes

Can't wait to see your purchases. :woohoo:

Oh no! Hospital on vacation is never good!

Jill in CO

It could have been a lot worse, but it certainly isn't something anyone wants given the choice. :guilty:

:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

Two words that should NEVER be in the same sentence.

vacation

hospital

At least it was close and didn't require an ambulance. :rolleyes1

Cynthia, that are some awesome pics of your walk over to DHS. Love the pics of the hat and when I read about it might disappear I was as sad as you are, so please include me in your club. ;) :lmao:
BD is not my favourite restaurant. But I love seeing photos of it. :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

It was a great time to be walking and I think my pictures look exactly like Cynthia's.

I definitely want to join the club, too!

So sorry about your computer being a bit of a pain.

I'm sure it was a logical fix, but I find with Mac's even logical fixes take a long time to figure out. :headache:

So sorry about the rain.

We actually had very little rain, but unfortunately the worst of it was while we were visiting Tybee!

NOT sorry about hearing you are staying longer. :woohoo:

I have decided that's its silly to stay anything less than 7 nights when going to HHI. There is just too much to do and too many day trips to take.

Yikes ....... so sorry to hear the word hospital. :scared1: That is one word that one does not want to hear during a vacation.
Hope it was nothing too serious.
Enjoy the rest of your vacation. :goodvibes

Thanks Karin. I will give you all the details in my next update, which will probably be more interesting than my actual update.

Ahhh I'm really far behind!!!!

Me too! :rotfl:

Sorry to hear that Max and Kismet haven't been feeling well!! Hopefully they are doing better soon!!

They both are doing well. Kismet is like a new cat and Max is doing much better after getting insulin for the past two weeks. I think he is probably still eating and peeing too much and may need his insulin increased.

Hahaha that was very nice - if a bit random - of the guy to share his beer with you! That's kind of funny that the PP photographer took a picture with you and the beer - I remember a few years back my friend and I took pictures in France, and the PP photographer was INSISTENT that we could not be holding our Grey Goose squishees in the photos! :rotfl:

Really? :rotfl2: That's too funny. Our PP guy was exactly the opposite and I would going right along with it. No hesitation on my part. And no hesitation when the random guy offered me beer.

Oh no...hospital?? Hope everything is ok!!!

It is now and I will fill ya'all in (that's my southern voice).

My Saturday morning Dis catch up.....

:thumbsup2 Right on! Speaking of Saturday morning - it was really fun meeting yo on the 6th. I think Nicholas is going with UD after looking at all the other schools. I said to him "pretend that you just drove 2 hours to see this school. How would you feel about it then?" The fact that he also thought there were a ton of cute girls there didn't hurt either. :rotfl:

Cynthia - great update. Love the pics of you in "France". Looks like it was a great night for a walk and evening at the Studios. And to end the evening at TSM not a bad wait time. Love this ride.

We had a really fun time that evening. I usually don't go to late EMH at HS, but it was definitely a perfect night for it.

MaryEllen - Was hoping you were having fun in HHI. What? "The hospital was pretty nice too"?? Hope everything is O.K. now.

 Yeah - one of us had to spend a few nights in the hospital, but the rest of the trip was really fun!

Oh no! That doesn't sound good, I hope you both are ok.

We are now! But we did have a bit of a scare, which was rather unexpected.

Thanks, it was a great day!

Agreed - and I have no recollection of the waiter whatsoever, which makes it that much better. :rotfl:

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The custom sort (and sort by file name, oldest or newest) is fully BACK on photobucket!!!!

Now if you could only do a bulk drag and drop but still...I am SO happy!

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

That really IS good news. No maybe I will be a bit more organized in my recollection of events....and then again.....maybe not! :rotfl2:

I'm still trying to catch up, but need to post now!

Thanks for dropping by....and for catching up! Or at least trying. I am so far behind right now its crazy.

I always try to wear a sundress to the signature restaurants, heck I even wear one at the regular restaurants. I like to clean up, besides dresses are cooler.

I have to agree that dressed are cooler. They definitely fun to wear because they are easy on and easy off.

My favorite part of the Electrical Parade is Pete's Dragon, just so cool to see it blow smoke.

I totally agree - that's my favorite part as well. Love it!

The college thing is hard to figure out, but once all is decided the relief is wonderful!

We are dangerously close to having it all decided.

I just love the look of the Boardwalk & that whole area.

That is definitely my favorite area. I really hope my waitlist comes through for October.

I think one of those lighted dresses wouldn't be too hard to make. I may try to one someday, it would be fun to wear!

Then you will have to force Bob to go to the Halloween party so you can wear it. Of douse, it might be hard to get in your suitcase. :rotfl:

I have twenty more pages to go, then it's on to Jen's TR & Karin's new one. I will be caught up & then on to mine!

:cool1: Woo hoo! Looking forward to reading yours!

Safe travels home!

Thanks Pam!

Safe travels!

Jill in CO

Thanks Jill!

Safe travels

Thanks Pat!

Subbing. You do the best TRs...like, EVER! :-)

:welcome: juligirl and thanks so much for taking the plunge and joining in. We are happy to have you along for the ride. :yay:

I was thinking you didn't have time for a stop at South of the Border but just then my phone buzzed with the picture on FB from SoB. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

The gang all had to use the restroom and it was my turn to drive, so why the heck not hang out with Pedro. But Pedro is certainly no Bo. :rotfl:

Mary Ellen, I hope you have a safe trip home with no delays!!! pixiedust: I always hate getting home so late at night. It makes that "trip coming to an end" feeling even worse!!!

We got home around 11pm, which wasn't bad. It was after 12:30 when we left Charleston. Sometimes its just better to get home really late, then you don't have time for the "I'm home" blues.

Don't be tempted by all those South of the Border billboards enticing you in along the way to delay you even further!!! :rotfl:

:rotfl: Hahahahaha - the signage is awesome. I think its all been changed since the last time I was there. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to eat with Pedro. So sad! :sad2:

Interesting. Just fooling around with photo bucket. Gearing up for an update. Maybe.

Oops, looks like I was too late with my warning!?!?! :rolleyes1 :confused3

:rotfl2: Yes. Yes you were!

Well, I finally caught up with this TR! Your trip looks like so much fun, so many great things you did & ate. It was so nice of the man to offer you a sip of his beer to taste.

:thumbsup2 Yeah! Thanks for getting caught up. Now I have to get caught up on everyone's TRs.

I like the update on the cats, I have a weakness for all cats. We no longer have a cat as ours passed away at the age of 16 two years ago. He was the love of our lives & so handsome.

OMG - that's how I feel about Max. I am glad he is doing so much better, but I can't stand the thought of losing him. So sorry you boy died but I bet you had lots of good times together.

Oh no... hope all is well but I agree... hospital + vacation = no bueno! But welcome home MK.

Thanks! No bueno is right - 3 days of now bueno! :(

Cynthia: I agree, sundresses are so perfect for dinner - at least during warmer weather. If I'd of had any less layers on during the last few days of our Feb/March trip I would have been an ice pop. ;)

I hate when its cold in Florida. October truly was perfect weather. I really enjoyed it!

What's going on with the DHS hat??? Don't tell me they are thinking of removing that icon?? How dare them!

My reaction exactly. But she says its rumor. All rumor. thank goodness!

Cynthia, every time you and Mary Ellen update, I'm amazed at how much ground ya'll cover in a day's time. I've read rumors about the hat coming down but, like you, I'll believe it when I see it.

We did do a lot that day. We had the perfect central location for two out the three parks. The weather being perfect also helped with our adventures.

Mary Ellen, not liking your post about seeing the HHI hospital. Hopefully, it wasn't anything serious.

Thanks Lisa. Let's just say it could have been worse.

Okay I am caught up and really enjoying it. I did not comment on everything it would have been 3 pages long. :rotfl2:

:cool1: and lol :rotfl2: to the 3 pages! I'm glad you are all caught up. I wish I could say the same about myself. I am terribly behind on everyone's TRs. But I'll get there.

Now I will stay up to date.

:thumbsup2

Cynthia, great photopass pictures of you in France. :thumbsup2

I agree!

You two really got a lot accomplished on that last full-day. Fun and relaxation too. Perfect! :thumbsup2

It was a great day. I felt like we really did a lot and I was sort of lost for what I wanted to do on my actual last full day.

You guys really did get a lot covered that last day... Kudos to youdos...:goodvibes

It was a really fun last day. Started early - ended late - and lots of fun in between. :thumbsup2

Your server at Brown Derby sounds... well... a little bizarre... not the best way to earn good tips or make customers happy... :confused3 I scheduled a lunch with an Imagineer there in July as a surprise for Eric... I hope he's not on...

:rotfl2: I honestly don't remember him that well so he obviously wasn't that annoying to me. More likely, I just didn't care and was focused on the food. Lunch with an Imagineer sounds like so much fun!

Lovely pictures in France Cynthia...

I agree. They're wonderful.

Mary Ellen... you are checking in from vaca? I hope you had a fabulous time and can't wait to hear all about it... although the hospital part sounds dicey...

I was checking in off and on last week, but could only get my computer to work with the wifi at the hospital. No such luck at the Disney resort and I elected not to try too hard to troubleshoot it.

Yeah - we had a few dicey moments.

rumor! It's only rumors....

Thank goodness. You had me and everyone else a little on edge. :rotfl:

Must be the previous server in me...he annoyed me (clearly lol). Unmemorable would be better actually.

Definitely better. I can attest to that.

I am almost caught up with replies. Hopefully I can post tonight. And update a million links tomorrow. I am so far behind on my own TR. :faint:
