3 or 4 day Cruise

My kids and husband really want to go on a cruise during our Disney trip. So far we are going around Thanksgiving and the first week of Dec. so we can see the holiday stuff at Disney.

Based on the kids school schedule we can either take a 4 day cruise and go to Disney for 4 days before and 2 or 3 days after the cruise.

Or

We can take a 3 day cruise and go to Disney before the cruise for 8 days.

I like the second choice, but I'm worried 3 days will not be enough. We cruise once before on the Dream for a 4 day cruise. I'm not sure what to do, I love the cruise, but I don't like to keep packing clothes.

Will I really miss much on a 3 day cruise.

Yep  we did a 3 night cruise..way to short..only 2 days..1 at castaway cay and 1 at Nassau..IMHO I would do a 4 day and wdw.

We did the 4-night with another 4 nights at WDW - still thought it was too short for a cruise. Booked a 7-night while onboard!

3 nights is really short to just cruise...but if you are going to WDW too, then it would be fine. DH and I have done the WDW/3 night cruise and we were ready to head home by then. If you were going for just a cruise, I would say 3 nights is too short.

We've done 4 day cruises with WDW before & after the cruise. Trust me even a 4 day seems to short. 3 day cruises just go by way to quick, you barely get to unpack & it's time to disembark. Just my 2 cents worth. ::yes::

We have planned 3 night for May 9th.... First time. The boards will tell
You 7 is the only way to go but it's my first time, it's booked, nothing I can do now. Hoping to enjoy out first family cruise!

We have done 2 week long cruises and 1 3 night bahamas cruise. We have another planned for next month. We loved all the cruises we went on! I guess it depends on what your expectations are. For us, the price different between the 3 and 4 night cruise was way too big to book the 4 night. But, if the price isn't that much different, then maybe that would be better for you. It also depends on how it fits your schedule. And I would rather change places twice instead of 3 times. In either case, I don't think you can go wrong either way. It's a vacation!! :cool1:

If 3 and some WDW is all you can do, it's still a really great trip! I was amazed that my typed trip journal filled 20 pages between 1 hopping day and 3 day Dream. It was an incredible trip. For us, the 3 was our only possibility for several reasons, but it was stunningly worth it. Only better would be the 4 day or more, but if 3 and a few park days is what you can do, getting to Castaway and the 3 day is still worth it. It will definitely leave you wanting more, but it doesn't mean its not a great way to get started. I loved my 3 day DCL much more than I liked my 7 day CCL (carnival). I would like to do a minimum of 4 days next and at least get a sea day. If we hadn't combined it ith WDW, it definitely wouldn't have been the same trip though. If you could, I would do 4 but if you can't, do 3 because it was still one of the best trips I have taken.:rolleyes1

Pretty much sums it up for us.

Honestly for us it's a challenge to relax on a 4 day cruise, couldn't imagine a 3 day. Plus we couldn't do a Palo Brunch :scared1: But to each their own.
