Fantasy Spa Treatments

What are some worth while but also semi-affordable spa treatments on the Fantasy. I'm excited for my July cruise and am definitely going to try the spa but I don't want to spend $600 on something, I'm thinking something a little cheaper. My problem is I want a spa treatment, not just a manicure or something little but at the same time I'm not willing to spend an inordinate amount of money on it? Help!!

Never sailed the Fantasy before, but usually on vacay I do a massage or body wrap; the prices are comparable to a spa at home but the mani/pedi's are ridiculous for what you are getting. I tend to stay away from facials b/c you never know what a product line is going to do to your skin and post-facial blemishes are to be expected.

They often have specials on board during port days where you can get massages or other spa treatments at a reduced cost. They post them in the daily navigator

I don't know about the Fantasy in specific, but I did a facial on the Magic and was really disappointed! They insulted my ways of taking care of my skin, tried to sell me a variety of products that would have broke my 18 year old (at the time of the facial) bank, and I just left feeling really insulted overall. Then they really made a point of telling me how and where to tip.

Im fully aware though that this situation could have been a rare occurrence and that MANY people LOVE the spa services offered on board.

With that being said, I'm sailing the Fantasy for the first time in November with my husband and have already told him that I want to get a pedicure. The prices seem to be similar to the prices offered around home and I would love my toes to look all pretty in my flip flops

I can't however, justify spending the $$$ for wraps or massages or anything like that on board. We sailed Carnival for our honeymoon and the prices were much more reasonable to us on that line.

Doing a day pass at the Rain Forest portion of the spa is another option. There are different saunas, showers with all kinds of settings, ocean front whirlpoos, and heated tile loungers. My husband and I did this on the Dream a couple years ago, and it was the most relaxing day we had. Cost was $16 each.

That is a great recommendation. My husband and I did this as well last year on the Dream. You get a pass that you can use once (or once per how many you purchase) and you can come and go as you wish that day but they keep your room key while you are there. We really enjoyed it, but going from the hot saunas to the ice cold showers was a bit of a shock to our system lol

We used it while the ship was at port and we had the place to ourselves! It was awesome!

I know they offered a one week pass, do you know how much that cost, for some reason I remember it being cheaper than 16 times the number of days

What type of treatment is it? Does it book up fast? And do you have to actually do the treatment on embarkation day or just book it embarkation day?

Had the same experience on the Fantasy.

DW and I did a couples massage last year on the fantasy. I was very disappointed. It was comprable to what I get at home and the price wasn't horrible. But they then used an extra 20 minutes as us with captive audiance trying to sell us hundreds of dollars of junk.

We are doing the rainforest for $16. That's it.

I had the Thai Poultice massage 2 weeks ago on the Fantasy. 75 minutes. It was wonderful. I booked it because it is something I could not get at home. They use these warm poultices filled with herbs to massage you as well as their hands and they use gentle stretching. I think it was $190 plus gratuity. I was bracing myself for a sales pitch after but did not experience that at all.
