We need a little “Magic”, right this very moment! – Completed

Do you know when they stop serving lunch that day?

I think the buffet closes about 2, but there are the deck quick lunch places. The restaurant may be 1:30.

I think if you get to the port about 12-12:30, they will probably be at open boarding and you'll get on soon after that, but most likely by 1:30 in time for the MDR lunch.

And of course the eating begins again right after the sailaway!

Thanks! That's about what I thought. We were boarded by 11:30 on our Wonder cruise and had lunch in Parrot Cay. I would much rather be seated inside than up on deck. Since we're second seating for dinner, we grabbed a sandwich and some fruit at Goofy's while the boat was sailing away.

I just had a look at the Navigator for boarding day and Parrot Cay closed at 2:15PM and Topsiders at 3:15PM.

Corinna

Thanks! I forgot that I had copies of the Navigators from a January cruise. Well at least we can get something to eat. I'm still going to the Palo reservation desk first instead of food!

Dresses, dresses, dresses! There's no fist pump smiley so he'll have to do: :cool1: Let's see them.

Do all Palo reservations have to be made while you're on the ship?

I'll try and get some pics of the dresses. You can make one brunch and one dinner before you get on the ship, but we want a second one on the last day so I have to scramble for that one.

OK so today was a bad day. A couple days ago Fran showed me an awful rash on her leg above where her wounds are. Yesterday I decided that she should see our primary care doctor, but since we thought she was booked up with Doctor / Dentist appointments, we set it up for this morning at 11AM.

We thought she had an infusion yesterday and a Dentist appt. but once they saw her leg they canceled it. Her Rhuematoid Arthritis Doctor told her to go see the Wound Doctor. He was booked for 9:15AM. We met the wound Doctor this morning and as soon as they saw her leg they decided that she needed to go to the ER and get an Ultrasound, they thought she had a blood clot, but our Primary Care Doctor thought that it was Cellulitis. Either way it was not good. They sent her directly to ER.

We got to the ER by 11AM and were admitted by 11:30AM. Our Primary care DR. changed the location by a few hundred yards, from her office to the ER and looked at Fran and my little thing. Turns out is was not a Blood Clot, but cellulitis so she got a massive dose of vancomyacin and will continue the oral antibiotics that she has been taking for the last day. Hopefully things will clear up enough for us to take our trip. The Doctor wants to see us again on Tuesday and we will send her photos on Sunday so she has an idea of how it is healing.

Fran always said "it wouldn't be boring." I guess she meant it.

Oh, I'm sorry for the set back and hope she's healed soon and that you can go.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I guess Fran will have to relax and get better while you do all the packing and getting ready for your trip! Sending positive healthy vibes your way:goodvibes

Found this report today, sorry about all the setbacks and plan changes you have had. Hope Fran's cellulitis clears enough that it doesn't effect the trip.

It may have been ok for Fran to do the Helmet Dive but you never know. I think you were definitely smart to change the excursions to the ones you picked. Those Duck boat tours are supposed to be really neat, they have similar ones all over, my SIL has been on one in Pittsburgh a couple times. I, for one, would much prefer doing one in the Caribbean, LOL :)

I have no idea why I didn't see this thread pop up in my list yesterday! But I caught up on the news elsewhere.

Speedy recovery, Fran.

Okay. I realised that I somehow managed to unsubscribe myself from this thread....so I missed out on a couple of updates.

1. The one about the excursions. Touring Mayan ruins (in miniature or not) with tequila thrown in seems perfect! :thumbsup2

2. The one about mis-steps. I hope you're feeling okay'ish now about your check-in time. Good catch on the airports!

I've subbed back in! Hopefully, I won't miss anything from here on.

Praying Fran heals up soon. :flower3:

Thanks! Her leg looks a lot better, but she still has a lot of pain.

The doctor seems to think she will be fine by Thursday.

Oh no, I hope it clears up before the trip!

Its definitely looking better.

Oh no! Hope Fran heals quickly.

Thanks :goodvibes

Ha! That's how every trip goes!!

Oh no :( Sending lots of healing vibes today. Please keep us posted.

So far she's doing better.

The other problem with the helmet dive was she was wary about climbing the ladder. I'm happy with our new excursions.

Oh no, I hope Fran will heal quickly.

Thank you, me too.

I was sort of wondering if that happened. You're usually one of the first people to chime in.

Just checking to see how Fran is feeling. How are you doing? :goodvibes

Fran is feeling a little better. I'm hanging in there. Hoping to put stuff in the suitcase today.
