A 50 minute bus ride from DTD to the resort???? Hoping you really meant 5.
Happy belated birthday, sorry about the migraine but sounds like you made the best of it.
That was a soggy day. Why does anyone use American cheese for anything? Not only is it not even real cheese, I would have expected better from WPE. Bummer.

I just finished reading your tr. Sounds like an amazing time. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait till the end! Now off to lurk on your ptr and maybe older tr.
Thanks for sharing about the teddy bear lady. We have a lady who lives around here that is kind of like that. Hers isn't a happy story. But still a sweet well off lady who helps people out (in here own way) that a lot look down on.
As for you taking your dbf relax. My kids were older teens when we took them. We did everything first timers do and they loved it. I mean there are things I plan to do with just my dd or alone. And other things I plan to do with my dh. My dh acts like he isn't into Disney. But deep down I know he is.
If I go to long with out mentioning our trip (witch is 508 days away) he brings it up. He picked where to stay almost two years ago when I was planning a trip with my dd. Have fun planning.

OMG they are!!! It's like a sugary donut...but SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!!! Very doughy and light, but they are covered in powdered sugar so it's super messy! OMG THEY ARE SO GOOD! It's so hard to explain, but they are so delicious and you need to try some next trip- they are a snack credit!!!!
Yeah, it was strange hahaha! I'm not sure if I liked it very much, but the ice cream was so good!!!! When in doubt, get ice cream!

That's too funny! I'm sure DBF will act the same way! 
I just hope I'll get that "Hey, Disney isn't so bad" moment sometime during this trip! Welcome! Hope you get to plan one soon!! It's the best!
My camera is a Canon SX40 HS 12.1MP Digital, and it has AMAZING zoom!!! I'm in love with it!!!! I got it for Christmas of 2011, and it has done well on our trips!!

I just wanted to pop in and say that I hope all of my readers are safe and away from the tragedy that just happened in Boston. My prayers are with the families involved. Such a very sad thing.

Animal Kingdom Lodge, Anyone?

After we got back to the resort, we did laundry, and I wrote in my journal. I took pictures of all of our souvenirs from the day. We rested in the room until 3:30pm and we made our way to the bus stop, again in the pouring rain. We were running to get to the building, and I lost my flip flop and actually hurt my toe quite a bit because it twisted!
We got right on a bus and got to Animal Kingdom by 4:07pm. We got off, but we didn’t go in! Instead, we bus transferred to AKL!!! We were there by 4:20pm. I was so excited to be here! I had never seen AKL before, so it was very cool! We took a bunch of pictures, of course!

At 5:30pm we checked into Boma and were seated right away even though our ADR wasnt until 5:50!
The theming is so cool! It was very crowded, though!!
The food was a bit of a mish mash of everything! I have no idea what I had, but I was not a fan of the flavor. There seemed to be a lot of curry, and I dont care for that taste. Mom loved it though, and she really enjoyed herself! Here are the plates, again I have no idea what everything is!
Our waiter was very nice and friendly, but it was kind of hard to understand him sometimes which led to awkward silences! LOL!
After dinner we made our way to the bus stop!
Im just obsessed with these lights!
We left AKL and took a bus to MK to transfer to POFQ at 7:00pm, and we got back to the resort by 7:30pm. We looked around in the gift shop for a bit, and I traded pins from the pin board. We went back to the room, and we watched Good Luck Charlie. At 9:20pm, Mom decided that her monorail t-shirt wasnt the right size, so she had me go exchange it. Now, it was pouring again by that point, so I booked it back over to the gift shop and asked for an exchange. A different guy had to be called over because the girl who checked us out originally couldnt get the scanner to work. It was really awkward because the guy kept making jokes, and the girl seemed uncomfortable! After I successfully got a new size, I went back to the room, and took pictures of our new buys from AKL!

Oh, and I also traded for some pins in the gift shop!
Then I was in bed by 10:00pm for our LAST DAY IN DISNEY!!!!

I am officially a Junior!! WoooWoooo!!!! I handed in my last paper Saturday morning, and I have no more exams or papers! Done, done, done, and DONE! I am so happy!! The weather is beautiful, and I have about a week to enjoy it before we move back home and I have to get to work
in an office
wah. Thats ok! That means making money, and summer means CLOSER TO DISNEY!!!! Im so excited. Im going to do an update on my PTR about how were paying for this trip because its really cool.
Anyway! Onto the report!!
It was our LAST DAY IN DISNEY! Noooooo!!!!!! Sad face. We still had some parkin to do, so lets get to it!!
Mom woke up at 6:00am, and I woke up at 6:30. We showered and were out the door by 7:10am after packing up the last few things we left out last night. We did our airline check-in and said goodbye to our luggage.
We hopped on a bus to Epcot by 7:30am. We were making good time, and arrived a little before 8:00. We went through bag check, and the CM was very chipper and making like super fast jokes to me, but I was just so tired and wasnt following. LOL! I was literally just staring at him like ??? It was so funny!! However, we were first in line at the turnstiles!
We were let in the park at about 8:50am, and booked it to Soarin duh! BUT I was booking it to the BATHROOM! OMG for some reason I had to go so bad! LOL! It was POURING, and I had to take my flip flops off because I was slipping all over!! Mom took the tickets to get FPs and I raced to the bathroom- of course there was no line for that!
We met back up at Sunshine Seasons for breakfast. When I got back Mom was so excited because she got FOUR FPs!!!!!! Pixie Dust! There were two just sitting in the machine when she went to put ours in, and the CM said go for it, so she grabbed em!!!
We both got the adult breakfast platter for breakfast. It was good but not great, and I shouldve gotten something healthier, but I just wasnt thinking clearly. I was TIRED! I also got an iced mocha coffee which was actually pretty good, surprisingly!
It was so funny when we were checking out, an older CM was also incredible chipper! We were still soaked from the rain, and he called us little wet ducklings! LOL! I was dying!
After breakfast we rode Soarin (TWICE!) with our FPs!
I really do like this ride, but I am just not very comfortable! It makes me sicky and woozy. I dont really know, I mean I never get motion sickness from planes or boats or get sick on rides, but for some reason this does it for me! I still love it, and think its really awesome!!
After our flight over California, we went on a Journey of our Imagination with Figment! We took our time in the play area after- we were taking things pretty leisurely this morning.
Anyway! Onto the report!!

It was about 10:50am at the time, so we headed toward Mexico. It was really raining this day, and I was getting really annoyed with it. I used my iphone for most of the outside pictures, so I apologize for the quality!
We stopped to watch the opening ceremony! It was really cute!

After our ride, we moved on. Germany!
It was pouring, so we stopped in Karamel Kuche. I mean, while were here, why not get a snack?? It smells so good in there!!!
We got caramel popcorn, a chocolate and caramel covered strawberry, and a pretzel. I had the strawberry on the move!

BOOOO last day. Ugh, the breakfast at Sunshine Seasons is just... BLECCCCH. I've actually determined that IT is what made me sick that time in Dec. 2011. LAME-O.

I am all caught up on your TR as I was woefully behind. I just love all your pictures and all the fun you and your mom are having despite the fact that it appears to be raining in all your recent pictures.
I absolutely love Boma. I will be staying at AKL for part of my October trip so I am just soaking up all the AKL pictures I can find.
