At least you know people are getting enjoyment from thinking of the song and the movie (wonderful movie) (OK I suppose there was a TV show too, but come on, Raul Julia? you can't not think of him), and they will remember you and SMILE. I can't imagine not wanting something like that.



We'll have to think of something, because we're a family of 3 names; neither DH nor I changed our last names, and we hyphenated DS, which gets a bit cumbersome, so....

You could have them say, "We would like everyone to meet the Robinsons"

That's funny, we have the same last name and feel the same way too! Very tired of how everyone breaks into the Adams Family 'song' too.

How does that factor in on DCL? Did the CM's do that?

Mick and I are getting married on the WBTA next year and his surname is Savage, imagine that For our future sailings ... The Savage Family!!!

His grandchildren are coming too and they have different surnames, so the suggestion of using Princesses XX and XX with their entourage is great. Will definitely be writing something down to give to the CM on our arrival to make it easier.

We'll have Joa and Mick with the wedding party and then a special Princess one for the grandchildren. Can't wait!

The CM's did not but the another family did as we entered. I am not annoyed with it but it is 'old' for us at this point. It's funny, now when it happens it kind of dates the person. The younger people in any group this happens in, look kind of confused. So for my children, this experience will probably be mute.

I could see how the Adams family joke can get old. My kids both have names that are aparently from old western movies(I had no idea) and ppl constantly make remarks- yeah, yeah I get it ha ha. Mostly its older men that mention it but ods name, I get many comments.

Hello, I am looking for suggestions…

When we board the Fantasy and they say the infamous "DCL would like to welcome the "xxxx" family…we'll…we're the Adams Family and I really don't want to hear that again….ugh… so…any suggestions?

I read once..many years ago about there being funny names given. Does anyone know any or have any suggestions? Thanks! We sail in 9 days!!!!

Minnie Mouse was reboarding the ship in front of us last week and I made a comment about the fact that she was boarding. When she walked on, they announced "... would like to welcome the Mouse family." I thought it was funny. We just gave our regular last name.

Since my next cruise will be my honeymoon, I will use my NEW name! So excited!

In my experience they will say anything you ask them to say as long as it's not inappropriate. My go-to name is Anita Martini.

When is the last time folks did this? I remember reading a post from 2012 and a couple people said they were told they were no longer doing the "silly" thing. When they tried to give something funny, they were told, no, what is your REAL last time. We only tried to be creative once, and they messed it up So we stick with our original last name...SMITH
