It's time to try a Disney Cruise. Let's start with the Dream! update pg 14

Oh wow! I love snorkeling, your underwater pics are great! Looks like a lot of fun!

I think the snorkeling would be a lot of fun there. Not only to see the fish (and eels), but to check out all the special additions that Disney has made to the underwater scenery.

We really need to book a cruise sometime.

Great pics of Castaway Cay! I hope to take one of the Hobbie Cat catamarans for a spin next time we visit! My fondest memory here is taking an hour or so to walk around and find the three geocaches that were here......only one geocaches remains now!

Great pics! See, that's something I will never see...the bottom of the ocean! When I found out Shanleigh went snorkeling while she was on the cruise I just about had a coronary!!! I told her before she left to observe the ocean....FROM A LOUNGE CHAIR!!! I reminded her it's the ocean and in the ocean is SHARKS!!!! I have a small fear, not sure if you can tell

I am a nice shark. Not a mindless eatin' machine. If I want to change this image, I must first change myself. Fish are friends. Not food.

It was great fun. I have only had one other real snorkeling adventure and that was through a coral reef in Cuba. This was pretty fun because you knew there were things put out there to find.

Didn't notice too many hobbie cats out that day. What happened to the geocaches?

The caches here were placed by geocachers from past cruises.....so unless you get a local to look after it, often they go missing, get found inadvertently and mistaken for trash etc. I would place one if I knew I could get someone to keep an eye on it......not that easy on a private, cruise line island!

Personally, I agree with Queen- sitting on the beach and reading my book was THE BEST! (almost as nice as on the balcony )

When I made it back to the chairs there was no one to be found so I just grabbed my Kobo and read a bit while enjoying the sun. After a bit, Declan and pooksma came back from having lunch and visiting one of the gift shops so I decided to go get some lunch myself. I have to say I wasn’t impressed with the lunch available. I ended up with a cold burger and some salad.

After lunch Declan and I played some pool in the games area and then we packed up our stuff and headed over to the bike shop to get some bikes and explore the island. The ride is fairly easy as the island is flat and all the paths are paved.

We made our way towards the tower first.

We then continued along the trail until we came back to the runway

We continued on until we reached the far end of the island where we took a short break and had a drink of water. They have water stations along the trail for you.

We then headed back to the bike rental shop. Part of the ride is along an old runway.

Along the runway you will find these.

We decided to head back to the ship but first Declan took a trip down Pelican Plunge.

We walked back to the ship enjoying the view and an ice cream along the way.

Just before getting back aboard, we found this guy.

And that was the end of a great day ashore but there is still more to come with Pirate Night.

It was a very relaxing day and the bike ride was a great way to end it.

Capt Hook and Mr Smee were coming down the gangplank as we were about to head up. We decided not to bother with their line and just head back to the cabin.

I was surprised about the lunch, didn't seem to be any reason for it to be cold.
