Transfer points (to myself) then bank?

I haven't done this before, so I want to make sure I understand and do it correctly. I want to transfer points from one account (myself, husband and adult kids) to another account (just myself and husband). They are 2 different account numbers and membership numbers. Both are at VWL with a December UY. I understand that a transfer can only happen once per use year.

Then, if we don't use them early this summer, I would bank them before the deadline (7/31). We all travel together, so it makes sense to have the points in one "pool" and make reservations from that. All family members involved are OK with this.

Am I correct? I can transfer once and then bank?

Yes, you would be allowed to do that.

While not a written policy, MS has also been allowing multiple transfers per Use Year between personally owned memberships.

I agree with Doc but you may not want to do that. I don't believe you'll be able to bank them online or reserve online using them once transferred. You may want to just book separate components from each account and then link them.

Actually, since they are the same resort and UY, they will show up in the members account online and will be easily used with the others. Not sure about the banking. I had transferred points that were same resort and UY and they just pooled them with mine and when I made reservations, they were there.

Sure, you can do it yourself and you can do it earlier than you can get in touch with MS.
