Looks like we may bump into each other! We will be there in 82 days and staying for 10 glorious nights. Ahhhhh.:worship:

Did you take advantage of the itinerary planning? We did and got all the restaurants we wanted at times we wanted. They were so awesome.

Yes, we will probably be there the same time! :) We are staying for 10 days too, the 1st 5 days will be at OKW and the next 5 day will be at the Poly Cl. :) My kids are really excited! We have a 6 year old girl and a 4 year old boy. They love OKW and this will be our 1st time at Poly Cl. :) Have you stayed at Poly Cl before?

We were there 4/5-4/8 and I could not believe how spacious the lounge was! It never got full and always clean. Usually at morning and 5-7pm a cm would come through and take your garbage or ask if you needed more beer /wine but for the most part you put your things on a counter near the doorway.

I have stay at CR, GF SL and now here. This is how I compare.

I enjoyed the CM's at all 3.

Food at all 3 good but most American food at CR (example, I would bring my son or my dad to CR but not poly because they don't like sauces etc)

Lounge area : poly was so huge ! Many tables were still empty and the upstairs area was never used. The view was beautiful. You were so close to lake and beach:cool1: I also liked that the Concierge desks were downstairs/separate from lounge (GF and CR they are adjacent) . It felt more private that way for both when you checked in or when sitting in the lounge.
CR has modern looking space and view from 12th floor is great. My son loved the potato chips and make your own Pbnj 's too. There was just enough seating and would get near full but we never had a problem finding seating. The area here was easiest to get food because it was in a long row / didn't have crowd issues.

GF space is just blah! The advantage they did have was a very short walk without stairs to pool/hot tub from lounge. It would be handy with strollers and mobility issues. Afternoon food here hands down wins! The scones and trifle were scrumptious :goodvibes. There was also veggies and cookies so something for everyone in the day time.

Cleanliness: all 3 were kept very clean. At Cr and GF they cleaned up after you/ no area to put dishes at poly you do most of the work but they assisted at times.

I would stay with pleasure at all three again. Someday I hope to stay at GF and take the magic golden elevator doors upstairs!

For anyone that's either stayed at the Polynesian recently or is there now: any word on the renovations in Tokelau? We're arriving June 2 or 3 (room only for late June 2 or arriving June 3 depending on work commitments and daughters post graduation plans). We come often so no need for long trips. First Polynesian stay in close to ten years (weren't impressed that time). I'm thinking either Tokelau or Tahiti for proximity to TTC or a repeat stay in Samoa. (great location, just a not so great room that time). Tikiman says that Tokelau was to begin rehab on 3/31. If it did and is on track will it be complete by say 6/1?

This is our first time at club level. My in laws are joining us and I thought they would enjoy the club level if they didn't want to join us in the park. Our daughter is 7 and she is so excited about staying there as well. She loves Ohana and always talks about hula dancing. It will be nice to watch the fireworks from the beach. I am looking forward to a little relaxation this trip. Is your daughter a fan of the disney rides? Our kid is an adrenaline junky I think. Since we settled on our dates it has been non stop chatter about the rides.

Your estimates are the same as mine (as extrapolated from Tikiman’s informative posts) and the previous two longhouses opened at or within 2 days of the projection (Hawaii and Samoa). We will be there on Friday and may be able to let you know if things are progressing at Tokelau.

We've requested Samoa for this trip, but loved Tahiti for proximity to the TTC last April. We wanted to be closer to pool and GCH this time.

Mike :wizard: DW princess: DS (5 ) pirate: DMIL princess:

First visit 1976, Pre-2010 too many off sites to remember, WDW 2/2010 BC CL, Disneyland GC 12/2010, WDW 4/2012 POLY TPV, WDW 7/2012 (off site), WDW 12/12 POP and 4/2013 POLY with Disney Dream cruise!

We had third floor Samoa, volcano pool side close to the elevator on our previous stay. Thanks go out to Tikiman for the room recommendation he gave me but I don't think I'll get that specific again. The staff was so bent on giving us exactly what we wanted that it delayed us getting into our room until after five (it was the last room cleaned in Samoa!) And they even cleaned the carpet for us (I guess it was necessary as there was still a lingering "smell" :rolleyes1 of industrial cleaner). So we had wet carpet for most of our stay. Our view was the pool and if you stepped onto the balcony you could see Cinderella's castle in the distance. You'll love Samoa but be prepared for a lot of action there, it's a busy longhouse!

I just switched our reservation a few days ago to the Poly! I can't believe we will be at Disney in 17 days and checking in to the Poly in 19 days. Super excited for our first time trying out club level :cool1:

We will be awaiting your report!:thumbsup2

Have a great time!

We are staying at the Polynesian Club Level for our next trip. I hope we like it!! By the sounds of it we will!! Although I'm not sure I'll like any of the food they offer in the evening :( but I know my husband will!! :)

I hope you have a magical stay. We haven't stayed CL, but we LOVE the Poly and can't wait to go back (and try CL) in December :goodvibes.

We will be there in 82 days and staying for 10 glorious nights. Ahhhhh.:worship:

10 nights at the Poly will be amazing :cloud9:.

I can't wait to be back there again, only 202 days.

Great pics....thanks for posting :).

209 days until our first Poly stay :cool1:

It will go fast :thumbsup2.

We haven't stayed CL at the Poly, but have stayed CL at other resorts and we love it. When we stay CL, it's more for having the lounge for someplace to sit and relax than it is for the food (although the food offerings are a nice perk ;)), so I think you made a good choice going with CL. I'm sure your in laws will enjoy the lounge when not in the parks :goodvibes.

We were late in booking this year, but we will be back at the Poly in October (18-23)!!!

October will be here before you know it ::yes::.

Congrats.....can't wait to hear how you like CL :).

Was very sad to cancel our October BB to the Poly, although it was for a good cause - our first Disney cruise next March! Now I'm very excited that DH has told me to plan 2 nights at the Poly before our cruise! We will only be hitting the MK for one day, but it will be fantastic to splurge on an extra little visit to our favourite vacation spot! :cloud9:

I'm sorry you had to cancel your BB, but yay for a cruise + Poly stay :yay:. We are taking our first Disney cruise in December, with 2-3 nights at WDW before and 2 nights after. I was going to book the Poly prior to the cruise and the CR (our first stay there) after, but I decided to end with the Poly as that's our favorite resort....plus we're trying CL :goodvibes.

I think just to save some money we won't be booking CL for this trip (unless we get a fantastic deal!) but we have stayed CL our last 2 trips and really enjoyed it. I hope you love it too! We just really appreciate having the extra space of the lounge (you've got more inside space to enjoy than just your room), the convenience of having food right there and Hawaii is an amazing location :lovestruc

I requested Samoa, Ground Floor, Volcano Pool Side. I also noted on my reservation Room #1607( I know everyone says not to do that, but that is why I made the other 3 requests BEFORE the room #) I was given room #1606 :cool1: :cool1:

Did you make these requests online or did you call directly? And also can anyone tell me as far as doing online checkin are most of you getting your longhouse requests met? We will be there may 28 - june 3.. :)

We've only stayed at the Poly once and that's all it took for us to fall in love with the resort......now trying CL is the only thing left to really put us over the top :cloud9:. We love CL for the exact reason you said.....we love the lounge for somewhere else to go rather than in the room or other places around the resort. We stayed in Samoa and loved that location, so I will be more than thrilled being in that same area in the Hawaii building. I can't wait to try CL and although the reports of the food offerings that I've read are mixed, it seems everybody agrees that the view from the lounge can't be beat :wizard:. I hope a good discount comes out for your dates and you can upgrade to CL.

We've never done online check in, but on our Poly stay we had 2 out of 3 requests fulfilled (with the 3rd one being met if we wanted to move the next day). When you check in, if your assigned room doesn't met your request(s), you can always ask if a room that meets your requests is available. If it's not available immediately but will be later in the day, I'm sure the CM will gladly give you that room if you are willing to wait. Good luck :).

Very cool! We check in on Sunday, April 28th and we will be there until the 4th. It will just be my daughter and I until Tuesday evening. My husband and daughter's best friend will be joining us mid-week. We'll be THAT family in the daily matching T shirts.:)
