Um... WOW! That is beyond amazing!!! This is what happened to us when we were randomly upgraded from a 1br lake view to a 2br MK view at BLT... we were like... WHAT?! And don't worry, I cried too!!! It's so sweet of Disney to do this, and they don't even expect anything. Amazing. Yall deserved that!

I love your writing style. I did my first mother daughter trip back in 11. and my daughter is hinting I need to figure out when our next one will be. But what got me to post early is to thank you for your sons service. My son is also in Afghanistan. His first deployment so still getting use to it. Is always nice to hear that people appreciate the families of our soldiers.

I wonder how often that happens as well... this wasn't the first time we didn't see our photos that we had taken but at least I usually have my camera as well that they take at least 1 or 2 photos.
Umm, I am seriously tearing up along with you. I can't even imagine that big a surprise or room (heck 2000 sq. feet is bigger than my house lol). What a special and memorable experience!
We have been upgraded before (not in Disney) but in Niagara Falls to a Falls view suite with balcony (twice ironically) but I can't begin to imagine how you felt. Glad that Emily caught this on film too, will always have that!
Oh, thanks Emelie!! (Love the name!) We certainly know that that won't be a repeatable moment at WDW. But we are grateful that it happened.
You seem to have more luck though with being upgraded twice!! You need to check in at YC - you never know!
As awkward as the video seems to me now, I was glad that we captured our initial reactions.

Since we knew it was an upgrade we wanted to capture the "moment".. even if it was just an extra big room with 3 beds - which is what I was trying to figure out how that would work.

What an awesome surprise. For the great trip reports you do; you truly deserved the upgrade. I know very highly unlikely but hoping for our honeymoon we get that pixy dust and get upgraded from honeymoon suite to one of the top 2 suites at WL for our June honeymoon.
Hi dsnmooner! I was thinking the same thing as we were enjoying the suite... it would be so wonderful for a honeymooning couple or someone celebrating an anniversary or other such celebration to have the room. Not sure why they chose us but I thought, gee when Em marries and honeymooms at WDW (I'm SURE she will) this kinda tops that. Well, except for the fact that vacationing with your mom is no comparison to honeymooning with your husband... well, you get what I mean!

First, I completely understand about wanting to soak up as much Animal Kingdom Lodge as possible! They did such an excellent job at that resort and there are so many details to take in. I'm glad you liked it!
I've yet to have another family on my Photopass CD, but I'm sure it will happen one of these days!
