If anyone can post the bottled beers they have in the Club lounge if they have a moment, it would be MUCH appreciated! I've seen pics of Yuengling in some other resort CL pics but not AKL. I'm hoping it's at AKL as well, since we can't get it around us and it's a sentimental favorite!

It's $190 per person. That includes the tour and dinner at Jiko. You don't pre-pay; they will give you a bill when you're done with dinner. If you have TIW, you cannot use it for this.

I've been waiting since last October, so I totally understand. My 40th birthday is next week, so i made a BOG dinner ressie for my birthday 180 days before, and I've been waiting since then!

We'll be at AKL CL DVC one bedroom by next Monday!!!!!!!! Maybe we will see you in the lounge.

Nice! A one-bedroom sounds fantastic. We'll be there all next week and spending lots of time in the lounge, so I bet we'll run into each other. DH has shoulder-length hair - that's the easiest way to identify us!

BTW...we've done the Wanyama Safari twice. It was AMAZING. literally giraffes basically put their heads in the safari truck! They come that close!

The dinner is Amazing! It's a tasting menu, so I think it was a number of courses and I'm thinking wine was included! (not 100% sure on this, but I'm thinking it was), again, they serve different wines with the courses...

We did it in '08 and then again in '10 with my mom. It is pricey, is it worth it? Hard to say, it's definitely an amazing experience....

We are going on our first family vacation in 13 days ( but who's counting, right?!) My children have no clue and I CAN NOT WAIT! We will be there April 21-27 AK Kidani Village Savannah view!

Agreed! I am SO glad we did it in November! The price is too high to make a it a habit, but we had a lovely time and yes they do not skimp on the drinks! There was a welcome cocktail, wine with many courses and I think another cocktail or desert wine to finish. I was glad we were just going back to the room after! Many courses, all delicious things!

The tour was great too - the man who spoke was very knowledgeable and friendly to me even though I was being a dork and talking about the zoo at home I volunteer with - he was more than happy to validate me, lol!

Hello Everyone,

I'm so excited I'm staying at AKV Savannah view starting Thanksgiving day for 10 days. We have to wait till 2014, but I'm so happy. I love AKV, we normally stay there, my youngest son loves the animals so much. We think about staying at other resorts, but we just can't switch.

At Jambo, I would pick Arusha Savanna (although Sunset has lots of animal activity too). Then you have to decide between Kudu & close to elevator. I would opt for Close to Elevator, which would most likely put you on Zebra Trail: near elevator, pool, restaurants, buses.

Those are just my thoughts -- you will be fine just about anywhere at AKV!!

All this talk, I really, really want to do it. We already have Jiko booked for two night during our stay, I could drop one of them in favor for this.
